I (with MUCH apprehension) signed up for the beginner class, it was me and one other person. Cynda was Our instructor. I've lost a hundred-ish lbs during Covid. More to go. Was super apprehensive about joining a yoga class. So glad I did it. Cynda is amazing! She gave me the confidence to Join her gentle hatha class and I loved it. Visiting my parents here in Michigan for a bit and so happy I came across this beautiful studio. Cinda is the real deal. I've been practicing different styles of yoga with teachers in NYC, SF, India, and Bali for a while and Cinda is one of the best I've come across. I've been struggling with certain poses, arm balances, and inversions for years and they just clicked when I came to Cinda's class. What I think makes her unique is her wealth of knowledge and meticulousness. She was a former gymnast/gymnast teacher/dancer and has a good foundation to teach from on top of her rich yoga teaching experience. I feel safe trying out inversions and arm balances in her class as I completely trust her and she also has some great music playlists. She even pointed out some adjustments to my chattarangas and flows that I've been doing incorrectly for years that blew my mind and wish I would've started my yoga journey with her to have prevented the bad habits I picked up! I joined Evolve about 1 1/2 months ago taking advantage of the new member special they offered. I had never tried Yoga before though I exercise regularly doing cardio and weights. I have some lower back issues which I have been told is in part due to tightness all over my lower body. I was told by a friend yoga would help me with that. So far I have done gentle Hatha classes with Cinda and Yin classes with Justin. I have also done a yin/nidra class a couple of times. I can't say enough great things about the studio and Cinda and Justin. I was nervous when I first went because I know I have such minimal flexibility and was worried about being a total failure at yoga. Cindo and Justin could not have been more welcoming and put my mind at ease. Truly no judging there unlike an experience my wife had at another studio. I have seen a great deal of improvement in my flexibility since I started and I really enjoy going to the classes! It's been a challenge at times but I feel great by the end of class. To any "newbies" out there, I highly recommend you give Evolve a try! read more

Warm, welcoming candle-filled studio tucked into a CrossFit. Cinda was very accommodating of students of different levels and helped me modify poses. She played great music that really gets you going and makes you sing along in your head (not just typical chanting or instrumental music). She also gives nice adjustments without ever making you feel self-conscious. She'll push you if you want it but if you need a more restorative or beginner's practice, she's supportive and helpful. I wasn't sleeping well, my mind raced, and I couldn't focus. Nothing I tried worked until a friend suggested I try yoga with Cinda, the owner of Breathe. My goal going into that first class was simply to do no harm to those around me, but at the end of the hour I was able to do many of the poses. More importantly, I felt a calmness I'd never felt before. I've now been going to Breathe for eight months, and I sleep better, my mind is calmer, and I can focus. And it must not just be me, because at that first class, and at all the classes since, the experience level of those in the class ranges from beginner to experienced practitioner. I've been going to Breathe since May when I purchased a groupon. I had been practicing at home for about 8 months but still considered myself a newbie. Even after my home practice I found my first hatha class to be a challenge but in a good way. I was instantly hooked. I was able to get so much more out of the session removing myself from the busy every day craziness and really relaxing with focus thanks to Cinda the owner and instructor. She is super sweet, knowledgeable, and always makes you feel comfortable in class. I've attended all the different classes and even in the challenging classes she has suggestions and encourages students to do what they feel they need and offers suggestions for a beginner or for the more advanced explaining how to take it a little further. I'd highly recommend giving Breathe a try. You won't be disappointed! read more

I began going to Breathe Yoga going on 5 years now, and this special gem of a place has forever changed my life in more ways then one!! I can still remember the day like it was yesterday, walking in and meeting the amazing Cinda! Cinda has created a space for yogi's to come breathe, relax, connect, and play! She is the most amazing teacher, her knowledge of yoga and her presence is something that should be experienced by anyone who loves yoga in the area! Her Vinyasa classes are my favorite, but she has such a wide range of classes varying all the way from Vin, Slo Flow, Hatha, Yin, and tons of workshops so there's always something for everyone !
