I got involved right away but no one really followed up on how I was doing. The hospitality group I was involved in required mandatory meetings which very few showed for. There was too much attention paid to special speakers and the gifts we prepared for them. Their announcement system through text was very unorganized and when I sought to understand it, no one knew what was going on. I don't recommend this church.

But in God's sovereign plan, we were led to another local church where we grew solidly in our faith. Interestingly, Pastor Shawn happened to be a guest speaker a couple of years ago. After listening to his sermon titled Parenting Like a Boss, I never forgot it. This year, it became clear that God was drawing us to a new church, and then about six months ago, we finally came to FBC Wildomar. In His perfect timing, Pastor Shawn had just begun an Easter series. The teaching here is solid, bold, clear, and deeply rooted in Scripture. The gospel is preached in every sermon, and communion is ministered pretty much weekly. I walk out of each sermon feeling humbled, contrite, in awe, longing to worship, obey, and love the Lord Jesus Christ more deeply. The people here are warm, genuine, and welcoming. Many families have been part of this church for a decade or two. While some online reviews mention past trials, I actually find that encouraging. Every biblical figure--except Jesus--failed God and each other at some point. But God is rich in mercy and faithful! He can turn trials into triumphs when we put our trust in Him. That's certainly been true in my own life, and all glory goes to Him. We see that pastor Shawn and his team followed God through these trials! I also appreciate the church's commitment to being organized and orderly. Helpful information is easily accessible--whether it's community groups, Bible studies, or sermons (which are available on Apple Podcasts and YouTube Live). We've been sharing the messages with friends globally, and they've been encouraged.
