Rancho Christian private school. They market themselves as "Christ centered", but in reality, they've started to delve away from that. As someone who has been around the school for 5+ years, I can confidently say that things are going and have gone downhill. The education itself isn't bad, but for the majority of students, the curriculum isn't as challenging as other schools. The biggest issue, though, is the church and leadership that isn't in the right place. Scott Treadway has said some things that don't reflect Jesus or the Bible. In fact, he has said, and I quote (paraphrasing, because I didn't bother to hear that tomfoolery) "The Bible is just some stories". I genuinely can't comprehend how he could say something like that. However, he gets away with it by his speech and use of words. News flash buddy; you can't just say something and then tie Jesus into it. That doesn't make it right. You preach Jesus' word, not your own. The church is a mess too. It used to have "Christian" in the name, but they took that out. Why guys? There was also an incident regarding a church group that was about including all races and everyone is equal and loved by God. Sounds good, right? Well, it would be if not for them only allowing white people to attend to hear the message. I wish this wasn't true, but sadly, it's happened. I pray that God may help or remove Scott from power, as he's not doing well. read more

The Bible is precious. A church & its sermons should be preoccupied with God's Word which Scripture says is "sharper than a two edged sword".... This church is NOT "preoccupied" w/God's Word. Rather, the pastor is far too fond of his views & coddling away from discomfort. If you are looking for a place to hear a pastor's view of life & "feel" comfortable .... go here! If instead ready to be challenged & transformed by the renewing of your mind via God's Precious Word go elsewhere. Honestly, the fact they don't call it Rancho "Christian" church is appropriate from what I didn't hear there. Christianity is centered on Jesus Christ & the magnitude of Father God's sacrifice of His Son... there are expectations related to that sacrifice. (No side-stepping it). Never been to the church but after being attacked by one of their "ministers" Rachel on social media for expressing my views on a local zoning issue I am heartbroken. Rachel enlisted other church members to berate and belittle me because I don't have the same views they do. I don't want to believe that the entire church is this way but from those I have interacted with it was very cult like and not accepting of others or their views. I hope that I am wrong and a few bad apples haven't spoiled the bunch. read more

I visited REE two weeks in a row. I really wanted to like this church since we are new to the area and looking for a church to visit regularly. I have three small children and I was told that they would be learning a message or a scripture in the children's class while the adults attend the sermon. When I picked up my kids I learned that all they did was play, and my oldest son told me the kids spent their time saying "yo momma" jokes. I was looking for a church that my whole family could benefit from, especially my kids since they are so young and impressionable, unfortunately this is not the one. I have been away from church for a few years. I need God back in my life. I used to attend "Rancho Christian" Church, it felt like home. Today I attended Rancho Church (renamed without the Christian in their name). The 90 min service was centered on Finding God thru Art. Wait, huh? Little or nothing from the word of God, Pastor Scott went on to talk about U2 and the Streets w no Name song. What?.... I enjoy worship music, but please have references to the bible, the word of God. I was honestly, completely lost and left completely disappointed. A friend of mine told me they left Rancho because they felt they have gone commercial and have chosen to try to appeal to the California masses rather than the absolute word of God and the bible. Perhaps this was a one off day/service, but dropping "Christian" from the name should have been a clue. I feel they have lost their way. I really struggled with writing this review, but Pastor Scott should know the new direction is confusing and quite off putting. I leave this as a reminder ,Timothy 4:3 In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge: Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage--with great patience and careful instruction. For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. **Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears WANT to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry. We do not recommend Rancho. We are grieved to say this. After fifteen years there, we left in 2017 as Scott was undoing what scripture actually says. The founding pastor, Steve Struikmans, taught from scripture about our sin, Jesus sacrifice of his life and resurrection to give us new life. Not Scott! He undoes all of what God means to say. We pray that God either correct Scott or remove him. He is a heretic, teaching not from the word of God but his own 'happy' message of a God who does not judge but only wants us happy. This is so dangerous. He is leading many in the wrong direction. God help him and any who buy what he says. READ YOUR BIBLE, PEOPLE!! He is so wrong. Question what you are hearing there. He does not teach about sin, our need for a savior, repentance, Jesus' atoning sacrifice, hell, etc. Go to a church where the pastor has a Bible in his hand and reads it and teaches only what it says. My wife & I enjoy Rancho; Scott and Steve are great! Those that are looking for sermons of judgment, hate, and a scornful God will be disappointed. The Bible first and foremost teaches love, grace and service to others. Tolerance of all people of God is particularly relevant here in the USA with such diversity. While some may consider this something to fear, to many however it is a blessing and source of strength for this country. Yes, the Bible is referenced early and often. See you Sunday! read more

We used to attend Rancho regularly, shortly after Scott Treadway became the lead pastor. We were pretty happy with the teaching back then, as he taught the Bible, but mostly topically. He lost us a bit when he spent an entire summer allegorizing the book of Revelation (John was rolling over in his grave). We moved away for several years and then back to the area Fall of 2019. We heard his sermon on "Togetherness", and he did well to tickle the ears of the woke crowd, and hammered evangelicals in the process. A good shepherd loves his sheep, feeds his sheep as Jesus asked Peter to do. Also, from Acts20 " for I did not shrink from declaring to you the whole consul of God". Teach from cover-to-cover, and both teacher and parishioner will be better equipped and bear fruit. It is becoming rare to find a good Bible teaching church these days versus those preaching social reform. read more

This church has no respect for the community surrounding it! I live across the street and they have been playing the music since 4 PM It is now 8:14 PM and it has been so loud whether they're singing or talking with my windows shit, air conditioner on, and my TV quite loud in my own home...I can't drowned it out. Wonderful church! We have found a great group of people in our home fellowship. Emphasis is "walking the walk" with grace for others and yourself through Christ. It is refreshing to hear sermons and teaching geared toward acting more like Jesus does in the gospels rather than who I'm supposed to judge. read more

We've been going here for a year now. We're a military family that moves A LOT and finding a church is no easy task. After going to a few churches in the Temecula, Murrieta, Menifee area, we finally found this church. Very welcoming, very laid back and where my kids would say "let go to church". It's fun and they always have great things to do for the kids and families. I'm sad to have to leave but Duty Calls us to go over seas. Thanks Rancho Community for making us feel like family. I'm so happy to have finally found a church that I can completely attend as myself. If you grew up in crazy church times you know what I'm talking about. You can visit here and leave that mask at the door. I love everything about this church. The services are packed with that energy to face whatever type of week you've had. They have a Facebook and Instagram to stay connected via social media. Services are interactive. Technology friendly. You won't get ugly looks for using your bible app. Music is done right and you appreciate the collective sound and quality of each worship members gift. They also host so many small groups if you want more connectivity. Their website has them all listed. I don't have kids, but the childcare is done right. Parents check kids in and out quickly and are given a restaurant style pager just in case they are needed for whatever reason. Very cool. But most importantly this place peaches the Word with love and no condemnation "we're all going to hell" style. I've never felt so loved by God since I've started attending here. Another cool thing is this Celebrate Recovery group they have. I think that's so awesome. A biblical based program for anyone with hurts, habits and hang-up's.. aka all of us!! ;) I can't say enough how blessed I feel to have discovered this place on yelp. Who would have thought it was here all along?! Check it out. My favorite service is Sunday night at 5:30. Full concert worship service, and the same message if you missed the morning service. My only recommendation is that a bike rack be installed near the main building. I have to lock my bike on a fence, far from public areas, and even at church I'm all qookie about it. #trustissues But doesn't bother me enough to knock down the rating. This church is VERY accepting and does it the right way. The Doctrine of CHRIST is the focus...not muddied by the white noise found in "Religions". This church challenges my family and I to be better everyday. Pastor Scott has a God given talent to convey the doctrine of Jesus and how we should be applying it in our daily lives. Great church as a first time visit. I went here to attend the Laugh Your Way to a Better Marriage seminar earlier this month and loved this place. Although it is not my regular church it does look inviting and everyone is very friendly. Huge facility with grade school and high school available on campus. Wish my church is this big but then again, its not the facility that save souls but the message and the pastor that presents that message. Great church to belong to. If this was closer to where I lived, I would probably switch to this church. read more

Incredible church and incredible school! I spent 2 years at Rancho as a student and find my faith at this church. At Rancho, I made lifelong friends, incredible memories and learned that beyond all of that, there is Christ looking out for everyone. Rancho is definitely a place that is fulfilled with welcoming, love and care. Teachers at rancho are the perfect example of educators and life mentors. I have to say that they really prepared me well for college. Growing up from atheists family, I came to Rancho as a religion explorer. I first start volunteering as a greeter and at the cafe. I absolutely loved hearing other's people's experience with Christ and getting to know more about Him. Today was our first time to Rancho Community. We were greeted by the greeters upon arriving and sat on a very comfortable chair and had a great view to both the worship leaders and the pastor. The music was fabulous, the singers had great voices, and the musicians were very gifted! Because it's Christmas week the worship included some Christmas music, but the songs other than Christmas were contemporary and our favorite style of Christian Music. The message was great! All about finding the wonder of Christmas! As a child has...loved the teaching. It was done by the Childrens' pastor, Ryan. We will definitely go back to hear the main pastor too....so far a big thumbs up for this church.... read more

My sons and I have just found this church and have been regular attenders for the past 10 months. The downside: it is very large. You won't necessarily see your friends/neighbors even if you attend the same service. The upside: very positive message, my sons love to attend, the worship music is great, there are many groups to join (because of the large size). I was afraid to come to a new church, but it was so easy at Rancho. They have people that will help you out, give you info and the pastor is always there to greet you after the service. (He has a gift bag usually with information about their mission statement, a DVD and a coffee mug.) Middle School Uprising Group: my 13 year old son attends this group on Wed and Sunday. He will even hurry up and get his chores and homework done in order to go to church!! On the 1st Friday of every month, they hold Battlezone. The kids ALL love it! It has been a very positive experience for us. read more

Inviting warm atmosphere. 8am service has traditional worship with hymns and readings. 9:30 and 11 are the Generations services that are full of all generations. 5:39 pm is full band concert setting that takes you right to the feet of Jesus. In a short amount of time we have made some great friends and were able to connect with others. Their farm is one of my favorite places to volunteer. It is the primary source of produce to their rescue mission. read more

after persistent requests and much time, RCC staff scheduled a meeting for myself with one of their pastors for mediation with another "Christian". we met a number of times, for which i am grateful to RCC for the time and efforts of this pastor my updated review of RCC on yelp is not dependent upon a decision in the mediation in my favor. although there has yet to be a straightforward resolution, the pastor mediator (it could have been anyone in the church, as the Bible instructs) did request the other party to "help" a lot of time passed between my repeated requests for mediation -as instructed by the Bible between 2 Christians- and the mediation provided by RCC. during that time a lot of financial losses occurred. money is not the heart of the issue. but if one works, using money as a medium, in exchange for food, shelter, healthcare, time as money lost hurts living and life read more

My son is participating in Rancho's kidz with a purpose and he is loving it! They are doing service days to help the community, it's such a valuable lesson. He has gone to the mission food pantry, harvested fruits and veggies in the fields and will visit a senior center. Great way for him to learn to give to others. Bring your earplugs because it's LOUD. Having incurred some tinnitus while serving in the military, I avoid rock concerts and the like. (I'm in my 30's btw, if that matters to anyone.) However, I really like the teachings here and the worship is pretty good, although often it feels like you're watching a performance more than actually being led in song. I've been to some of the children's programs that their school puts on, and it's the same -SUPER LOUD! I've heard from other folks that they think the music is too much also. Sadly, this is the ONLY reason I don't attend consistently, because I feel unless I'm wearing my hair down, (so I can hide my earplugs, because I don't want to seem rude or draw attention to myself,) I don't feel comfortable at this church. It's a bummer because it's something so simple, but whoever is in charge of the audio/music program obviously is bent on keeping it like this.
