My husband and I have been attending Cornerstone Community Church for two years in December. While it is a large church, we have found it to have a small church friendliness. There are a variety of groups - small groups, discipleship groups, interest groups - so many places to find your people and to worship God as a family. The pastoral team, lead by senior pastor Andy Dean, teach Bibically based lessons that are anchored in God's word yet are also relevant and have daily application. Through the women's Bible study, I am experiencing an increased desire to draw near to God through daily Bible reading, giving, serving and prayer as expressions of love rather than tasks or a "to do" list". There is no such thing as a perfect church, but we do serve and follow a perfect God and we have seen him move profoundly in our spirits and our lives through our relationship with Cornerstone and his we are learning and growing. read more

Been here a few times. My aunt told me about this church so I figure I'd give it a try. It's not the best experience I've had and definitely not the worst. It's more like a hit and miss for me. I get different reactions not only from church goers, but also from the staff as well. There would be Sundays where ppl be smiling, and be very welcoming and the Sunday after ppl be giving me looks as if they were forced to come to church by their spouse or the congregation. I went here years ago a few Sunday's in a row. I had three small kids at the time. We were searching for a bible teaching church in the area that reflected Chuck Smiths method. Which is expositional teaching through the whole Bible, verse by verse chapter by chapter. The first thing I noticed upon our first visit was no one was carrying a bible to the service. When the so called teaching began there was no bible teaching . That explained why no one was bringing a bible to church. We were handed a couple pages of printouts like kindergartners and Ron began bragging about all his real estate investments and how wealthy he was and tried to twist his bragging into a bible teaching. It didn't work. I thought maybe he was doing some kind of a side bar or having a bad Sunday and next week would resume what a real bible study should be. Nope.. It went on with the cute handouts and more instructions on how to get rich like the pastor did, investing in real estate. This guy must have gone to the TBN school of get rich on the word of God, with the likes of Benny Hinn and Kenneth Copland. Do yourself and your Christian family a favor and stay away from this place of deception and end times apostasy and visit Brian Bell or any Calvary Chapel in the valley. You'll be guaranteed a sound biblical teaching and not some feel good prosperity deception we've been warned to watch for in these last days by Christ in the book of Mathew. OK where do I start. Me and my family went to Cornerstone for 10+ years . I started to see how they operate. This so-called church racks up millions of dollars a month . I also don't understand why they need as many of pastors as they do. I understand that they have a school but come on. They actually have over 150 employees. But if you really want to hear the word of Christ find a church that preaches from the Bible. Cornerstone has more than 3,000 people in a single week. read more

I like the fact that they have volunteers working with my autistic son while I go and enjoy service. This is the main reason why I go to this church. Every once in a while I miss church because they don't have anybody to watch him. The senior pastor here talks really fast which I don't mind. Most of his sermons are logical and relatable to real life. He is an introvert and is kind of hard to approach and he even admits that he's an introvert. One time I was trying to look for his wife to give something to her. I got a cold vibe from him when I tried to ask him where she was. Overall, I respect this pastor and I know where he stands with his teachings and I get his sarcastic jokes. Some people don't like his jokes but they don't bother me because deep down inside he has good intentions. Lastly, the pastor is very direct and on point which I prefer people to be. P.S. The worship team is great. I just wish they'd introduce more songs. It gets boring hearing the same songs over and over. read more

My kids and I have attended cornerstone since they were babies. They are homeschooled and just turned five which means this is there first year being apart of VBS at cornerstone The leaders have zero patience with my twins and have called me to pick them up each day because of behavior issues. The leader had a 9 month old baby in her hands while trying to "chaperone" over 60 kindergarteners yet still was trying to explain to me the incident she supposedly witnessed. The baby was in tears and the leader seemed overwhelmed. It seems these volunteers are placed with their own children and held an extreme bias. I do not allow my kids to bully or be bullied so we took this pretty seriously. My son had told me he was left out of two activities and sat alone which triggered him when the kids came to sit next to him and laugh. I now don't feel safe leaving my children with adults incompetent to relay correct information. Sorry cornerstone but this was our final straw after the way you treated your worship leaders and now this. Good riddens read more

I absolutely love this church! Pastor Ron is straight to the point. He doesn't sugar coat and gives a good break down of the message. I personally love a good dad joke from him every once in a while too. The staff does a great job inviting and including everyone even before the pandemic, which is so important. I love Cornerstone! My family has been attending this church for years now as "volunteers" (they use this phrase to get a lot of people to work for free for them and not pay the people actually doing the work) over the years I've watched them be consumed and brain washed by this church. I'm praying to god that that changes. Cornerstone is constantly preaching on how much we should tithe to the church. They're scam artists. They don't even use the money to help people. It's for their fancy upkeep (new elevator, new decor etc) and high salary for pastor Ron. (Who lives in a gated mansion in Bear Creek by the way, look it up) Why would a pastor live in a big mansion?! Also look at how much this church goes through pastors and staff, no one stays! This church does more harm than good. Trust me my family has been involved for over 15 plus years now.. Never coming back. read more

For a long time, I had no connection with the lord. I had lost all faith and was very confused in life. I got older and continued to struggle to find myself until One day a friend suggested I try out Cornerstone. A place where she had found comfort and faith, that she felt might help me. Boy was she right! From the moment I entered Cornerstone, I felt it. The warm inviting energy and the overwhelming faith is so powerful. I found myself in tears mid sermon cause it felt as if the pastor was speaking directly to me. I have now been baptized there and am developing a great relationship with the lord through Cornerstone. The church is very large and is a beautiful school as well. With a lot of areas to offer, parking is never a problem. They offer a main church, small church, and children's zone, I believe that may be it. My son is 11 months old and loves his class. The grounds are all kept clean and friendly church members are found all throughout if you have any questions. The church worship group is UNREAL! They are all so talented and truly get you pulled into their incredible worship songs. People of all backgrounds are welcome here. The vibe is very relaxed and friendly, welcoming to all. A beautiful environment to grow in. Overall, Cornerstone is a beautiful church with an inviting strong faith. This church has given me a strong renewed faith and a church to call my own. After attending for over two years and beings volunteer leaders for over one, my wife and I were suddenly removed from our roles without notice or contact from upper leadership. I initiated a meeting with one of the main pastors to discuss why. Come to find out, because my wife and I "reached out" for some marital help the church leadership decided to take us out of leadership. Adding insult to injury, during the meeting the pastor told my wife and I (who had been married for less than 6 months at the time) that there was something "off" about us. That he isn't a qualified marriage therapist but he's been doing marital counseling for over 30 years and he can see when there is something "off". He went further to say that he bets he could "push a couple of buttons" and my wife and I would start fighting right there. We were appalled and heartbroken. While it pains me to write this and I'm sure it will face some scrutiny. The truth is, between the "revolving door" of assistant pastors and the treatment my wife received, it's no wonder we kept noticing no regular faces on staff or in the attendees. Once we left, we were never contacted again by anyone from the church including our "friends". I understand that part of church is fellowship but it seems only skin deep here. A pretty service, message, and meaning on the surface but turns out it's just another place that talks about what to do instead of doing what they talk about. read more

When our friend invited us, I was worried that the children will not sit through the sermon. Then when we saw where the children were going I was so relieved!! My children everyday says is it Sunday church school yet?? We definitely appreciate the children's Sunday teachers so much!! My husband and I are overjoyed every time we hear our children enjoy. We're so happy to have found Cornerstone. We've walked through many seasons of life with our Cornerstone family and couldn't imagine doing life without them. They have something for everyone. As a new mama I never felt uncomfortable bringing my baby to church (they have nursing rooms where you can participate in the entire service and not feel like you're interrupting others experience). They have child care bible study high school classes for this groups for that self help recovery boy it was more overwhelming in a positive way than I even imagined. I decided to try out Cornerstone one day a couple of years ago because I had driven by it on the freeway for so many years. I did not know what to expect, other than what I had seen on their website about service times and where it was. The worship was contemporary and fun, and the sermon and pastor were both wonderful. All of the pastors teach from the Bible and have all of the readings from the sermon in our notes, to read along with, highlight and write notes on. The sermon notes also include a fill-in-the-blank type study to follow along with, which reinforces the principles that we just read about, and it really helps me to connect to what I'm reading. In addition, the pastors are the perfect balance of funny, energetic and reverent, which is even better than I had hoped for when I was trying out the church. Everyone at Cornerstone is so friendly, from the moment you get out of your car and every step of the way. I am so happy to say that after 5 years of "church-hopping" looking for the "right" church for me, I found not only that at Cornerstone, but I found a family too. The Bible study groups and ministry departments are such a blessing and I can't recommend this church enough if you live in the area. read more

It took me a little over a year to finally settle on Cornerstone. First did I need to go to church (yes I do), second does this church "reach me" yes: the sermons are historically rooted and relevant to today's issues, third is there a place for me to both give and receive yes: I help in Ckids teaching elementary school children and so make new friends with other adults. Finally as for the music: in my opinion it is entertainment and not worship, volume does not equal passion. But then there are offered alternative church but my desire is classical and contemporary worship. The cake is the best, scrape off the icing! This church teaches the Scripture and has many opportunities to build a deeper relationship with God. They have an awesome children's church with wonderful volunteers.
