No words I can write can do justice to how I feel about Dr. Bowshier. She is empathetic and listens...I feel she genuinely cares about me at a person. She also doesn't let me pull my normal stuff...which I need. She doesn't let me get lazy in my healthcare and holds my feet to the fire when she needs to. She understands that I want to be around for my family for as long as I can she supports me in this. Parking here is easy...it's a large lot. The staff at the front is always polite and easy to work with. Dr.Bowshier has had several nurses over the years I've been seeing her; all have been good people to work with. The phlebotomists drawing blood etc. for lab work are all great and really know what they are doing...and I'm a hard stick. I miss Cindy..., but got to give a shout out to Haley! Not a fan of the conversion over to Trinity and their processes...but I'll deal with it. Change is hard sometimes. Lol I can't recommend Dr. Bowshier and MercyOne Waukee enough!

This year, one of those scans caught a small spot on my lung that hadn't been there before. After further testing, I was diagnosed with stage one lung cancer. Because it was found so early, a small portion of my lung was removed -- and I didn't need chemo or radiation. I am 100% convinced that Dr. Bowshier's proactive care saved my life. I had a poor attitude about my chances for being mobile. The way they work you, teach you and become your friends is outstanding. I know this is a job or career for them but for their patients, it is their life. And it means the world that they treat it as such. It is encouraging that there are human beings in this world that understand their job is to work with people during one of the most trying times and have complete compassion and understanding for that. Dr. Jawa and his staff are no exception. When appropriate he would talk to her person to person, not always just doctor to patient. We really appreciated that. Her diagnose and treatments brought my mom (and myself) in contact with many different doctors and healthcare professionals. We always felt heard and found that so many of them would take ample amount of time to answer any questions. I know some days were extremely tough for my mom but I personally witnessed true professionalism with a perfect amount of humanization. In addition, medically I feel like they have taken great care of my mom and her cancer is now gone! We can't thank John Stoddard enough.

Upon calling Dr, Garner's office to schedule an initial appointment to establish a working relationship, I was informed I had to wait three-months for a "first-time physical" ... even though I live with a life-threatening illness. Two-months later, Dr. Garner's office called and cancelled the upcoming appointment because she was no longer available to meet with me at our scheduled time. Now, I had already booked three-months in advance because that's what was most convenient for her. And now I was faced with having to reschedule yet another time that was again, more convenient for her. I left my contact information with Dr. Garner's nurse, and asked that Dr. Garner please call me. The doctor never called. Dr. Garner: My time is no less important than yours. And on a professional note, I have always treated my customers professionally and respectfully, and I expect the same in return.
