Doctor decided to do an eye exam at a follow up appointment. Didn't bill Vision insurance, only health which won't cover the eye exam. I went in to see about getting my droopy eyelids fixed. They sent me for a field vision test which I did on June 5, 2025. It is now October 5th, and they will not give me the results. After 5 months and me calling 4 times to ask for the results, I still have heard nothing. They are very diligent about billing reminders though. I went in for an eye exam that my insurance covers 100% I have been getting a bill since then. I have called and was told it would be taken care of. I have continued to get bills. When I call it tells me my hold time is 2 minutes. I sit on hold for 15 minutes before I call back and request to receive a call back with a 4 minute wait time. They immediately callback and say I have a 4 minute hold. I again press for a call back. It disconnects. I call back again and it says 4 minute hold. So far I am 10 minutes into the call. I absolutely cannot stand bad service and will save myself time by going somewhere else next time. 100% do not recommend. Also, the person that does the glasses and contacts shouldn't be a customer facing employee. Customer service is non existent!! read more

I had an appointment that had to be rescheduled because their machine broke. Ok, I understand. The day before my new appointment they called to see if I could come in earlier. My schedule didn't permit it so I was told to come in for the original appointment time. I arrived and was taken back to do a couple tests and then was told to wait in the lobby. I was then called up to the desk and told that my exam had been canceled and I had to reschedule. No one told me that or I would have rescheduled the entire appointment. I had my annual eye exam on Sept 4. I was assured at check-in that eye med Insurance is accepted. I recently got a text message saying I owe $169.64. I called the Billing department as Eye med has been accepted every time for my past 3 annual visits. I spoke to John who said even though eye med is accepted, Dr.Long asked the charges to be billed to Medicare. Shouldn't the patient be informed if the billing is going to be different? What happens to an unsuspecting and vulnerable senior who has not budgeted for this extra expense? How could a routine eye exam cost so much? No, my prescription had not changed and i told them I was happy with my contacts yet they kept pushing their favorite brand as if they were getting a kickback and charging me again as well. I went in for a new pair of glasses . First thing I noticed was two people arguing with the two receptionist. When I got there, the one I was talking to told me that 5 years ago I had been late paying a bill/ it was paid for 5 years. The reason it didn't get paid was because it wasn't addressed correctly. I didn't realize how awesome my ophthalmologist practice was in Michigan until I had an appointment at Center for Sight. And I often do reviews when I've received excellent service. This is not one of those. Warning, the staff is trained to try to sell you on procedures you don't need. I went in for an EyeLid measurement to see if I could have surgery to repair my eyelid droop. When I went for the measurement appointment, I received an examination for glasses. I did not need an exam; I just had cataract surgery this summer and I have 20/20 vision now. I was told all new patients have to have an eye exam. And in desperation for repair of my lid I agreed. I was told the measurement would be after this appointment. And surprised that they suggested glasses (in a month after leaving Michigan my vision changed??, I don't think so) and laser surgery to correct the bubble left from the cataract surgery. Of course both of them were optional. So I left frustrated but was anxious to follow up that appointment with the measurement appointment. I went to the measurement appointment and was told no, this was just a consultation to see if the measurement was recommended and there would be three more appointments needed before scheduling surgery, and they were scheduling out to the end of April and into June. I was utterly speechless for a moment then in anger said I was misled and upset and I no longer wanted to be a patient of Center of Sight. I left. I Started seeing Dr Mary E. McVey for routine eye exams and what a highly experienced and incredibly talented eye doctor. She detected my cataracts as the major issue I was having and guided me through the process making me at ease in making the right decision. Selected Dr Joshua Kim as my cataract surgeon and what a Rock Star he is. Brilliant in his field. He completed my second surgery today. What an Amazing Staff they have from the front door all the way to the Surgery Unit. Everyone of them take Great Pride and truly make you comfortable. read more

The staff at Center for Sight are very nice but my cataract surgery left one eye worse than before surgery. I can't understand why I would have to pay an additional $2,000 to be able to see at least ad well as I did before surgery in that eye. They have 3 levels of care. Medicare paid, an up charge for a second tier whch is supposed to be better than basic medicare surgery (apparently it's not better as one eye is worse) or a patient pay of $2,000 (over and above what medicare pays) per eye to have the best surgery. I thought surgeons were supposed to do their best for all their patients. I was wrong! Didn't get anywhere near what I should have gotten and had I known how badly my vision would be affected I wouldn't have had the surgery at all. BEWARE! read more

I was a new patient at Center for Sight and it was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. I have been in glasses since I was a child so over forty years of eye exams. Check in was confusing for me and also for the people that work there. There were multiple desks and I stood around for 10 minutes before someone asked if I was there to check-in. Without my knowledge the facility charged my health insurance and not my eye insurance for the visit because they "miss coded" my routine eye exam for a medical visit. I ended up paying more than I should have for a routine eye exam. The only reason I went here is because they accepted my eye insurance so I thought it would be an inexpensive routine visit. "Dr" Lori Long continued the trend and seemly did not listen to anything I said. There was a complete disregard for my needs or what I wanted. It's my eyes so it's my choice but that's not how it went at the Center for Sight. These people are a bunch of scammers. I went in for a routine exam for lens change. They wanted me to do a bunch of test. I asked the assistant if the retina pictures were covered by the insurance to which she said yes. Wrong person to ask did not know but still provided an answer. Insurance do not cover retina pics. They know that but include in their routine without informing you. Then send you a bill in the mail. New insurance and eye doctor so i was not sure what was covered and what was not. They took advantage. Beware clarify everything if you go to them. My advice is go somewhere else. read more

I had cataract and lasik done this year. I've been wearing glasses for close to 50 years. I can now say my right eye is20/25. My left is able to see but vision is distorted since birth. I left a message advising I would like to make an appointment with Dr. Danuj Banker. 3 days later I got a call back and a message was left as I was unable to answer because I was at another Drs. Appointment. It's now 10 days later and I just tried calling back, and once again, no answer! There's no way they are too busy to answer calls to the office. Bought Polaroid prescription sun glasses for $ hundreds & they are rubbish. Center For Sight replaced one lense that got scratched because the arm of glasses frame hits lens and scratched it. Did the same in another couple weeks and coating on inside of lens started separating from lens. This time Center For Sight would not do a thing. I now own a pair expensive prescription glasses that I can not use. Thank you very much Center For Sight. My suggestion is take those prescription Polaroid sun glass off the shelf. They are a joke. Number two, start to treat your customers like you really care. I know your running a business, but you still need to show some compassion to your patients. read more

Fancy building for a very small town of much much older people. (75+0 Easy Pickens for in insurance scam; they send the insurance from them. Diagnosis lenses provide less clarity than what I had, and I was told "thats as good as it gets; lets schedule you for Glaucoma and cataracts. ( add to the mediare bill) I have some money; because I knew where to spend it. Just go to Costco or Walmart. Same degrees maybe better diagnosis.... That's my experience. Southwest Florida!
