Parking can be a little bit of a situation at times, and people sometimes seem to wait around for spots for some reason, but there's actually plenty of parking diagonally across the street in the garage. Street parking is also often free or just a couple of bucks, so it's very manageable once you know the options. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this spot. Great vibe, great trainers, and solid equipment. There's even a hot tub in the locker room. It's not a polished, spa-looking place, but honestly that's part of the charm. Typically I'm here to swim laps and take water aerobics, so can't comment on the gym classes or equipment. Itzel teaches water aerobics M-W_F at 9am and her classes are packed largely due to her energy and the workout everyone gets. It's hard to keep a class fresh when it's three times a week, but Itzel manages to keep everyone engaged with excellent, varied music, exercises, and her smile and energy. For lap swimming, this is my favorite pool because it's much longer than the other LA Fitness locations At 25 meters vs 25 yards, which really makes a difference. There are 3 lanes, which swimmers split, and rarely do you have to wait for a lane unless you want to swim at 10am on M-W-F right after water aerobics when many people stay in the pool to continue their workouts. The showers, sauna and locker rooms are relatively clean. I say relatively, because it depends on the volume and the cleanliness of those using these spaces. I will say the woman who cleans the ladies locker room works her bitt off and is always sanitizing and wiping things clean.

Athletes were happy to chat and introduced themselves and everyone was so strong! There were people powerlifting, Olympic weightlifting, and a couple of strongman athletes. The neighborhood and streets nearby had plenty of parking spots, and I grabbed a spot right in front of the gym entrance. Head Coach Jabo was very attentive with his athletes, and was giving cues and advice about programming, adjusting the reps, sets, and weights when necessary, and providing moral support and encouragement. He gave me several cues that completely changed the feeling of each of the lifts for me, and communicated these cues in a way that helped me understand but not overthink. A couple of my top sets of the clean and jerk felt more smooth than ever thanks to his coaching. You can tell this gym has a close knit community of athletes and coaches who trust each other and perform exceptionally. Highly recommend for anyone, and especially Olympic weightlifters!

When I bring this to the front desk, they usually just shrug and say they will talk to him, but nothing ever changes. She mentally prepared the class for what was coming (ex how many sprints, how many inclines, how long, and counted it down for the entire class). They violate the rules of use, but the staff is powerless to affect it. So we all suffer because of the unenforced rules. One of the regulars has severe allergies and cannot even visit the space anymore. The dog lady not only doesn't care.l, she gets angry and belligerent if she thinks anybody is discussing her dog. The other case is occasionally people blast their cell phones on speaker. The parks staff says they cannot enforce their rules. I hope it changes soon before I move onto another gym. I don't particularly enjoy working out. So to have this stressor added to it is just not what I want in my life.

I've been to one location in Seattle a few years back, so coming to this one is a nice fresh visit. There's this welcoming feeling upon checking in, the girl who rang me up for supplements was very friendly. The floors are clean, it smells fresh and sanitized, most machines and equipment are the same as other 24's, but this one is extremely well kept and people take pride when using the facilities. Everything is all on one floor, so no need to use stairs or elevators to go up and downstairs. The only areas I didn't use were CardioX, swimming pool, and Spin Cycle room. I'm not too sure if parking is available, but it seems as though office workers come to and from their offices, and there was a security guard on patrol so I felt very safe inside the whole entire time.
