We hired Marina through our contractor to do the detailed design work for a major remodel of our…read morekitchen, family room, dining room and living room. We took out a few walls to totally open up the space and bring the house into the 21st century. Marina is not a designer that just comes in with color and furniture ideas and makes recommendations. Very detailed in all aspects of the construction work from drawing up blueprints, getting all the necessary city and county approvals and of course her own ideas from design to granite, light fixtures, appliances and of course colors and other ideas. I was a little hesitant at first with some of her ideas as they were a little outside of my box of thinking. However, once I saw the stone wall up that she recommended all my doubts disappeared and we went with most everything she suggested. Bottom line is we could not be happier with the way the project turned out. The design is perfect. Not a single thing we would change now that we are 6 months after completion. Our contractor, Shad Hellmendollar was also excellent and the two of them worked very well together. At first I thought she was on the expensive side, and she is, but when you consider the quality of work, all the detailed drawings, getting approvals, calling in structural engineers to assist, then I would have to say we got more that our money's worth.

Five weeks ago I did pay Lisa Michelle Schneider the 15 hours of advance pay she asked for while representing herself as an interior designer wanting to do work. I knew almost immediately that something was wrong and called my bank, only to find she had already cashed my check. My suspicions about Lisa were correct. The day she took my check was the last day she called me. This is a nightmare. Since taking my check Lisa has not initiated, not once, any contact with me. She has only answered my few basic texts after me waiting 24 to 48 hrs for her to reply, then having to send the text to her a 2nd time. I waited 5 days for a reply to "can we meet"? These are the facts. It's been exhausting for me to push on Lisa to do work that I've already paid for, only to see her very sub-standard work results. She lied to me and exaggerated her work experience . Her ideas are that of a complete amateur. I cannot use anything she suggested. I realize that Lisa does not have the "eye" or the skill set to do design work. At week 4 of this nonsense with Lisa Schneider, I decided to cut my losses and hired an Interior Designer and I'm happily moving forward with an "actual" Interior Designer. This experience with Lisa has been an "eye opener" for me, a complete waste of my money, and much more importantly, my time. Buyer Beware.
