On Thursday, March 26, 2026, I attempted to wash a load of laundry that was clearly marked as costing $4.00. I inserted $4.00 into the machine, but it registered only $3.00. I called over the attendant, who insisted the machine was correct and persuaded me to insert another $1.00. At that point, I had $5.00 in a machine that should have only taken $4.00. After that, the machine would not start at all. The attendant then wrote my name and phone number in a notebook and told me the owner would be in later that day and would call me to resolve the issue. No one ever called. Because I was traveling and already out of town, I called the laundromat the next day to follow up. I asked to speak with the owner and was told he was not there. I then requested that the owner send me a check for the money since I could not return in person. Again, I was told "the owner will call you." The attendant refused to take my mailing address. After multiple attempts, including trying to contact Brent McDonald, who is listed as the owner, I have still received no response and no refund--not even a phone call. It is deeply frustrating to lose money to a malfunctioning machine and then be completely ignored afterward. This business had multiple opportunities to do the right thing and chose not to. Based on my experience, I would strongly caution others, especially travelers, before using this laundromat.
