They didn't try to fit me in sooner since they knew the renewal was needed before hand. Now I have to figure out something else in an area that has waiting lists for doctors a few months long. They keep charging and over billing you even when you have the receipt that you paid. They say the same thing over and over about switching to a new system. How many years does it take? Whatever. It seems promising at first (like any other deception), but the truth is revealed the more you go there, they leave you empty and bitter because you trusted fools with your life. I am a diabetic taking insulin, I take a blood pressure medication and blood thinner. I went to Walmart where the prescriptions were to be sent on August 14, 2019, and they didn't have them and Walmart said that they would get in contact with the Pahrump SMA and have the scripts filled. Each day, I either went to Walmart to see the status or called SMA to see the status or went to the clinic to get a paper copy. I called or visited every week day from August 13 to August 30, and I never got my prescriptions due to Southwest Medical Associates not sending the prescriptions. Additionally, I was never able to speak to the doctor or the supervisor of the Pahrump SMA clinic. Finally, on August 31, a Saturday, I went to Las Vegas SMA urgent care to get my prescriptions as the Pahrump clinic is M-F. I am being billed for the $40.00 co-pay despite telling the Las Vegas Urgent Care the problem and that I should not have to pay it. I got a bill and believe that I sent them a letter and now I am getting past-due notices. I called the billing department, who had no authority to do anything and would only transfer me to the supervisor. I hung up and hoped to speak to the Pahrump supervisor and they would only let me talk to customer service, who took all the information and said that they would get back to me within 24 business hours. Waiting to see what happens. I will never use Southwest Medical Associates again because of the roadblocks that they put up.

This is my first time at this office, two hrs later and no injections! I haven't started any treatment yet, although I thought I would be getting a TPI. During my appointment, I was informed that they would have to request the notes from my cervical medial branch block doctor and my previous pain management doctor. This was a little disappointing given that I waited two weeks for this appointment and had previously provided my MRIS. There was no previous mention about my prior doctor's notes. I was also informed that they need to check for pre-approval for my tpi. Again, I explained to this doctor that my insurance doesn't require pre-approval. I called my insurance as soon as I left this office and they informed me that they will contact pain specialists of Nevada in the morning since they were already closed to inform them of their procedure. Dr Nguyen discussed other options with me like an epidural. We also discussed their MLS laser while I was there. I did explain to Dr helmi that I had some red laser treatment at a prior chiropractic office. He claimed that laser was a superficial laser that only went skin deep. Their laser supposedly goes deeper. Two days later, I called in and spoke to I Sandy. They do have a fairly large packet of paperwork to fill out, but they can send it to you ahead of time if you want to complete it using a PDF editor. I would definitely recommend filling it out before you arrive or giving yourself about 15 to 20 minutes before your appointment so you are not rushed. Nice modern furniture in the waiting room and patient rooms. They called me back pretty quickly once I checked in. I saw Dr. Tanner and he explained everything clearly and took the time to walk through what was going on and what the next steps would be.
