The reason why we chose Grunow is because, Tom, the owner, took the effort to come back with more a proposal more than once and explained why he wouldn't be the lowest bid. He relayed to us that he takes pride in his work and that he ensures that the quality of the work speaks for itself. One of our other neighbors also used Grunow and seeing their construction in the works, we opted to trust Tom and we're so happy that we did. The project started off well and Dan was our foreman during the entire duration of the renovation. We lived here during the remodel, so we saw Dan pretty much every day for over a year. He made sure that things were getting done, trash was picked up, subcontractors showed up, asked us about specific details, gave us homework to make sure we selected the appropriate materials, gave us updates, worked with us on billing...anything related to a construction project, he did it! We really didn't know what we were getting into, but with Dan and Tom's help, we were able to achieve an amazing end result. Now, we did have some issues with billing where we had to sit with Tom and (Bill) to discuss the inaccuracies, but we were able to reconcile everything at the end. Tom mentioned that they learned from this experience and that they've implemented better time tracking systems, so I'm glad that Tom is still looking to improve his business even after being successful for so many years. We really have been impressed with the craftsmanship. My father-in-law is an engineer and when he visited us, he checked out everything and made sure that everything was level. He was extremely impressed with the quality and sturdiness of the structure (as are we!). Although this project took longer than we anticipated, Tom and Dan, made it as easy as possible to help us get through to making the right decisions for the long term. Grunow Construction installed new windows and doors for us on the front side of our house as the…read moreoriginal builder had installed them improperly and were neither water proof nor functional. Many problems with the original construction were discovered during the process and necessary corrections were made. Grunow's workers were very experienced and qualified, with some having worked for the company for decades. This says a lot about a construction company and it's ability to hire and retain qualified workers. On top of their qualifications, I have to say that every person on our job was a very nice person too. I never felt uncomfortable with anyone in our house, even when I was home alone. I mention this as the company that did our original construction hired people who seemed more "straight out of prison" than qualified craftsmen. We did have hiccups along the way, which anyone who has ever undertaken a remodeling project certainly has had, but Grunow still deserves a 5 star rating because they worked with us and made sure that we were happy with everything. Grunow gets our endorsement for honesty, integrity, and quality.

We engaged Lingol Construction to do a number of jobs for us on our home over the years, including…read morea major remodel of most of the house a few years ago. This was a major project to replace the front facade with a new entrance and deck, sandblast and stucco, remodel the kitchen and baths, upgrade interior wiring and plumbing, replace all windows and doors, create a new room in the basement, add interior stairs, etc. etc. etc. resulting in nearly a re-build of the entire house. It required an army of subcontractors ... we were thankful that we had Alan Lingol engaged as the general contractor to manage the details. Alan has a lot of experience in the construction business and was able to work with our architect, engineer, and countless sub-contractors. He also has strong people-skills and he listened carefully to our ideas and concerns. He was organized and thoughtful. We requested many modifications as the project progressed and we were able to work through the inevitable issues that come up with a project of this size. We are very pleased with the end-product ... after-all, we live in our house every day. In many cases Alan came up with some great ideas that we had not thought of and now look back with relief that we had incorporated some of those ideas ... even if you're an expert yourself, you still want somebody who can look at things with a keen eye and suggest alternatives. This review is only for their accounts payable or billing department. In April of 2025 we had a…read moremajor roof leak over a unit in our complex. The bid was $4,184.90 which the HOA board agreed to and the work was done. The homeowner was happy with the work but fast forward to a year later and they now send the actual invoice for payment claiming they forgot to send it. That is so unprofessional and whoever is in charge of their accounts payable or billing department should be fired in my opinion. This completely threw off our April monthly and annual budget for 2026 as the HOA board was under the impression this was already paid. However, our property management company can't pay an invoice when they never received one to begin with. Needless to say, our HOA association will never use them again and according to our property manager, this also happened with a couple of other HOA association's she manages and she will not use them anymore as well.

We had highly considered them to do the overall remodel but we were in a time crunch and they were booked up so we went with another contractor with the remodel. Nonetheless, our experience with Restortation RX was nothing short of great. Sergio was VERY responsive during his time at the unit during the demo and dry wall process. They were also very responsive after their work was completed. Our insurance company was trying to deny our claims with the renovations and Kevin and Sergio were very helpful in providing all the paperwork we needed to file the claims with the work they completed. We've really appreciated how much Kevin & Sergio even AFTER they were done with their project with us. If their calendar was available sooner, we definitely would've used them for our remodel as well!
