When I got to the store, they didn't have the kayak in stock and then proceeded to show me other kayaks at twice the price. The salesman then asked if I would sign up for their friends program he could issue a rain check, I said yes. We proceeded to the counter , he did his thing, and after checking with his manager informed me that the kayak wasn't eligible for a rain check. He also told me this kayak was available in Fairfield (70 miles away) but I would have to pay full price. If they are going to entice people into the store with a specific"Grand Opening" flyer, shouldn't they have the items "on the top line of the front page" in stock? Bottom line is, I didn't get my kayak after driving this whole way.

However, I decided to ask them to look at my front tire and they decided to do a full inspection on my truck (without my permission). It was an old farm truck that I used to get back and forth to work. Of course the truck had problems. They decided to call DOT on the guy that inspected my truck. What they didn't know was the guy has a wife with stage 4 cancer and they almost caused him to lose his license. I also know of situations of them doing lifts for guys and their wheel falling off when they get about a mile down the road. I worked for a company that kept this company in business and then they did this behind my back. Plus I use to always try to refer people to them as a way to support local business. Needless to say, I wouldn,t piss on fire to put anyone of them out. What a shame.

Every single time I come here to get something weather it is grill pellets, dog food or something else seasonal, including propane tanks refilled, everyone is very friendly even if they are busy. They always seem genuinely interested in me as a person and never forget to ask if I am part of the reward programs. I often check the app on my phone and their inventory usually matches up and pricing is accurate. The prices are fasir, although on some items seem high, it is sometimes worth not going to the bigger stores. Great job Ankeny TSC - your employees are awesome!

Placed an order online for dog food at 8:15am. I went to pick up at 1pm and logged in online and…read moreput in the request for curbside pick up. After waiting 10 minutes I tried calling and never could get someone to answer the phone. Finally someone answered. In all the curbside pick up took 30 minutes. I should have just gone inside myself to purchase the dog food rather than online with pick up.
