Came here for the first time today. Was recommended by about a million people on the best of Olympia site, for great western wear and accessories. Did I have a mild heart attack from the automatic cowboy thing in the corner that started talking to us as soon as we opened up the door.... Yeappp. Hopefully know one saw me "clutch my pearls" We were greeted immediately, the staff was awesome. I believe it was Carmen? Who helped me with hats today. I felt so bad, I've never tried on cowboy hats at all, I had no idea what size I was, apparently I have a very small head. #themoreyouknow Anyway she was awesome! Helped stuff the hat with foam to help fit better. I fell in love with this damn hat. And a dozen other things in the store! We also were helped by another gal in the boot area and she was so sweet too. It's absolutely huge inside this store. There are tons of literally everything. 10/10 Will be back and probably for that! I came in with my girlfriend and was immediately greeted. Maysen complimented my partner and made her feel right at home. She was visiting from out of state and not from the county world and that left a very positive impression. All the ladies were attentive and helped us find everything we wanted. If I could give 0 stars , I would. Bought a pair of $119 boots, NEVER worn outside. I decided they were too tight with the socks I like to wear and they refuse to take them back. I will never come back to do business at this store again. I would have exchanged or even taken store credit. But the manager had a bad attitude and insinuated I was a liar. read more

Very nice store although prices are pretty high. Good selection of stuff. Wish they had more ladies leggings. Men's hats were a good selection. Store decor is nice although too much of it is made in China which I will not purchase if made in China. Jewelry is really nice. Boots are plentiful. I do come here often to check on stuff. Worth the drive from Olympia. You can find some good stuff in here, but prices make you think twice. read more

I just got my first Cowboy boots and I'm over the moon, don't want to take them off, EVER!!! The girl that helped me out was very knowlegeable, did not pressure me to buy a certain boot but was there to give me good guidlines on what to look fir in a boot. I ended up buying not just the boot, but also a jacked that was on sale! They got some good deals on clothes too! I csn only recommend the store. read more

Went in here on Black Friday weekend we were followed like common criminals. Every time we moved the lady followed fake folding clothes. Rachel the manager we spoke to never apologized and said this is how we treat our customers to be in earshot at all times, yet no one else was being followed. I went into this store for the first time yesterday on my 30th birthday. I was so excited to finally go in. I drove an hour and 20 minutes to get there. From the moment I walked in this woman associate in a teal blouse followed me around... even to asked where I went after another associate told me wear the bathroom was. I never got a can I help you with anything. Are you finding everything alright...NOTHING!!!! she just followed me around. I felt every judged like she thought I was going to steal something. I do NOT appreciate that at all. I have been in retail for over 11 years and I would never treat someone that way... I will NEVER return to this store. Very rude! Horrible costumer service from the moment I walked in. I was treated very poorly, like I was going to steal something, associates followed me and my children where ever we went. I went to find some boots for my 7 year old daughter for school. We went there and my daughter found the ones she liked, so I had two different people come over and check the boot and check her shoe size to make sure they would fit her correctly. She walked around in the store for a while and said she wanted them. They were slightly on the larger size, so she would have room to grow. Due to financial reason, and the price of the boot I decided to wait till next payday and come back to get them. A week later I showed up to buy the boot and had my daughter try them on once more and another sales person check to make sure they were a good fit. I bought the boots and my daughter wore them to school on her first day. She came home after school saying that the seems hurt her heals and they were uncomfortable on her toes. I still had the receipt and called the store and spoke with a woman who say that they could stretch them out and add mink oil to the seams. I brought them in on a Saturday and was confronted by the rudest lady ever, medium length wavy blonde hair, mid 50's saying, there is absolutely nothing they could do about it and there is a no return policy, she also said she could tell the boots had been "very worn" which was untrue because she just wore them for one school day. She then said there was nothing they could do about it. I told her I was informed before I came in that they would be ale to stretch them out and add mink oil. My daughter was right next to me at the time and they lady went on about how who knows what kids do while they are at school and that's the reason they look so worn. She then proceeded to ask me my daughter wore sock with her boots when she wore them!!!! I was appalled. Of course my daughter wears socks with her boots. She then said that if was up to her they she wouldn't stretch them because they are children's boots, but she would. I was told they would call me the next day to come pick up. I waited all day Sunday with no phone call, I called Monday and said "this is Sara I was a pair of boots there that would being stretched and I was checking in on them and the lady asked if she could put me on hold, I waited on hold for 10 minutes!!! just for the lady to answer the phone and ask my name and number and she would call me back. Tuesday comes around and no call, so I went into the store and the boots were sitting on the counter. I said I have been waiting for a call about them and the "so called" manager "Kay" said they had been there since yesterday and said they were very busy that's why they didn't call me. Every time I have been in that store it has been extremely slow with extra sales women on the floor. I asked her about the boots and she said they stretched them and I asked about the mink oil and she didn't know anything about it. She also threw in while she was putting the mink oil on the boots that's "you get what you pay for".... I spent $70 on a pair of boots for my child. That is NOT CHEAP! Was so very disappointed in how I was treated t that store. Will never go back. I will be contacting the owner of the business since the manager obviously doesn't know what she's doing. read more

I loved this place! I think sometimes people only write reviews about bad experiences so let me be the first to say on Yelp my wife and I had great service! I don't own any Western wear and needed an outfit for a western wedding. Jordine (the girl who supposedly follows you around) helped me find the right pair of boots after 3 attempts. She fitted me with the right hat and shirt to complete my outfit! My wife was impressed she ended up buying a dress after I checked out! Rachel and Jordine are great! Do not bother to shop here. They carry product that they are not authorized to carry and so they are unable to stand behind the product. (ie. they can't return defective product to the manufacturer because they are not supposed to be selling it in the first place.) Example, jeans from Grace L.A. They are very unhelpful in trying to resolve problems with their defective product. Instead, go to an authorized store just up the street. Sparkles and Spurs! They are very helpful and even if they didn't sell you the defective product they will help resolve/solve the issue. NO, they cannot take the item (they didn't sell it) but they can help figure out a way to fix the defect. I will take my hundreds of dollars previously spent at Centerville Western Store and spend it at Sparkles and Spurs!!! Yes, they have boots, jeans etc. Very friendly personnel! read more

****BUYER BEWARE***** My daughter went in and bought a pair of $274.00 boots there and brought them straight to my work in the box. I had purchased her a pair already for her 18th birthday so I told her and told her I would take them back. I went directly back to the store after work and the girl working behind the counter asked why I was taking them back and I explained the situation. She was also the seller of the boots. She took them out and said they had been worn, they clearly had not been worn, there was no time to be worn and so I asked to speak to the manager. After standing there for 15 minutes, she came back and told me that the manager was on her way out and could not talk to me. I said so what do I do and she said sorry but there is nothing we can do. We have been shopping there for years and love the clothing and quality. I called the next day and asked to speak with the manager, Rachel got on the phone and was very rude. She told me that the boots were worn, I explained that see had not seen them and to a least see them first, she said bring them in and she would charge a restocking fee. Rachel proceeded to hang up on me. Very unprofessional. I called Dick Baker the owner twice because I also run a small business and would like to keep my business local. He has not called back. These exact boots are sold on Amazon for $174.00 but because we shop local we did. My husband took them in, I decided that I would step out so that Rachel could stay calm through the process. The gal said right when my husband came in that they will take them back but there is a 20% restocking fee. These boots had never been worn. So my advice is check amazon. They take their boots back no questions asked, they are friendly and they love to work with their customers. This is so sad because I am all about supporting the small business. My daughter is stuck with a pair of boots that are $274.00 or loose 20% and they get the boots and the soles of these boots are honestly as clean as they get. read more

I wish I could give a zero star rating. My daughter received a pair of boots from this store for her birthday last yr. The boots were 260.00 before tax. Less then a yr later the leather began peeling. We took the boots back to be exchanged due to a default in the leather. Mind you we were not asking for a refund. The lady in the store was rude and argued with us about how much we had paid. Yelling at us that we didn't pay that much and that they never would have sold those boots for that much. After much arguing and my daughter literally in tears Finally they offered to send them back to the manufacturer and that my daughter would receive a store credit from centerville. 2 days later they called us and said that they had fixed the boots and to come take a look to see if it was exceptable and if not that they would still send the boots out and my daughter would still get the credit. When my daughter went to look at her boots it looked like someone took a sharpie and colored the spots that the leather was peeling. Then used boot grease to make it look blended. When my daughter said NO it wasn't exceptable and that she wanted them sent back and the credit they told her that they would not be doing that. The people in this store are rude, they lie and do not carry through with what they say. I was in desperate need of a vest. I needed it to complement a suit for a funeral, my Dad's! That is inconsequential to the problem. I bought a shiny black leather vest for over $100.00. My wife in reviewing my purchase stated that it was to big. The clerk at Centerville said it fit perfectly. My wife suggested I use the backup one I bought at another store in Chehalis. I did so and when the funeral was over and things had calmed down somewhat I remembered that I need to take the vest back to Centerville. I did return it. 17 days after I purchased it. They told me that they have a 10 return for cash/ or credited to your card. I politely stated that I had never heard of such a short return time . The clerk said that they are a family/private business. (And that has what to do with a 10 day policy?). They insisted that that was my only option. I took the store credit(they kept the original receipt) . I told the clerk that once I spent that credit they would never see me nor get anymore of my business! Beware!! read more

I have to start out by saying I wish I could give them a 0 star rating. I would not recommend this business to anyone that doesnt want to feel like they were harrassed. I went to this location and when I first walked in, I thought the place looked very nice. They have some beautiful quality boots, but for a very high price. I walked around the store and no one greeted me or asked me if I needed help with anything. I was with a friend whom was looking through some shirts and wanted to take a picture of a sku she wanted in a different size. Immediately we had an associate come over and VERY rudely tell us, "You need to put your phone away, you cannot take pictures in this store. It is against company policy." Well we work retail and understand about company policy so my friend put her phone away and apologized to the associate as it was our first time in the store. The associate proceeded to to come back with the store manager. The store manager was EXTREMELY rude to us. She immidiatly came over and asked us if we needed any help and proceeded to inform us that she was the store manager. She made us feel like we definitely did not belong in her store.
