A lot of empty stores, very drab atmosphere, buildings with peeling paint, wood rot, and roof leaks in a lot of the open stores. Not very safe for customers. I noticed a large store directory with its support posts rotted out at the bottom, why is there no importance for public safety? Sort of underwhelming to be honest, if you compare it to some of the larger Premium outlets in Tulalip and Woodburn. Collection of stores are alright, but the atmosphere is definitely lacking. It didn't feel very busy which makes the whole experience a little empty. Deals are pretty standard for outlet stores. read more

This Under Armour store is amazing!! I can not believe the really really terrific customer service today!! My husband had selected shoes, shorts and shirts online he wanted. He needed to use one Under Armour gift card and a couple other visa gift cards for purchasing. Staff went above and beyond helping us. I remember coming here as a kid with Mom to purchase clothes, and being blown away by the size and quantity of stores, low prices and quality items. As an adult, I was conversely underwhelmed by this outlet, mostly due to the lack of *variety* among the types of stores, as well as the startling lack of bargains (for the most part; each store varies somewhat). The outlet malls of Woodburn and Troutdale in Oregon, closer to home, are superior to Centralia, in my opinion, in terms of quantity, quality, density and variety. Came here for an exchange at Polo store. This outlet is super small. But it is expanding and is expanding in a pretty not so smart way. They have part of the outlet across the street and part of it across the highway. This doesn't make sense. If you want to go around the entire outlet, you must drive. This outlet mall is spread out on two sides of the freeway. Not a convenient park and shop like other outlets, had to drive to the different stores we wanted to visit. Much rather go north to Northbend, Tulalip or go down to Woodburn in Oregon. All others have more stores and convenience of park once and shop the whole mall. read more

One of the weirdest outlet malls that I've ever seen. Nike and New Balance are on the east side of the highway, while stores such as Ralph Lauren Polo are on the other. A Motel 6 is behind one of the stores, as well as a residential neighborhood. Huh??? Kinda confusing at first. To compare this outlet to the Seattle Outlets in Tulalip is just a smack to the face of Tulalip. In some places, you can find deals yet it seems to be the inventory closeout items that no one wanted during the season or two prior. All and all, a so-so outlet. read more

When my mom said "let's go to the outlet mall!" I was like "wee shopping!" When we arrived here, I was like "what the heck is this place?" Not many stores of importance; your typical mall stores like Claires, Bath & Body Works, and Aeropostale, then more high end such as Coach, Nike, and Under Armour. No stores that really drew any attention as the place was rather dead, and not really any sales were going on. Some dining nearby, but mostly fast food. The one positive is that it is right off of the freeway. The layout is terribly planned. It isn't all in one area, you have to drive to like 4 different shopping centers to go to all the stores; and you can't walk, some of them are a long ways away. It made me skip out on going to half of the stores as it was confusing and not worth the hassle of trying to locate what shopping center each store was in. This is the saddest outlet mall I've ever been to. Don't waste your time going out of your way to come here. Honestly, I don't even know if it's worth the time, even if it's on the way on the way to Portland. The selection of outlet stores is sad. There is a Nike Clearance Store, which I was really excited about. I've been to one in California and it was amazing - huge LOTS of selection for women and really amazing deals. This one at Centralia wasn't that big and pretty disappointing. The Gap factory store was smaller than a regular Gap store and the selection was sad. The Bath and Body outlet was kind of fun and smelled good. There are also like two parts to the mall, where it's separated by the freeway, so you have to drive to get over to the other side where the rest of the shops are. On that side there's a giant Polo outlet, but it was just so messy that I didn't even want to look around. The Francesca outlet was actually really cute and looked like the normal shops you see at malls, and the girl working there was friendly. Don't bother with this subpar outlet mall... read more

Oh, joy! A bunch of overpriced crap for sale at perhaps the most inconveniently laid-out 'mall' I've ever been to. Yippee. I know I'm biased by the fact that I'm not particularly fond of shopping in general, or of malls in particular. The ridiculous layout of this one, however, takes the cake. First of all, this shopping center is bisected by a FREAKING INTERSTATE HIGHWAY! Most of the shops are on the West side of I-5. After leaving the Eddie Bauer outlet (the only reason I had stopped here in the first place), I noticed a sign suck in the grass advertising a Helly Hansen store. 'Heck, might as well check that one out too' I thought. So, after wandering around the entire (West side) complex looking for the shop without success (and finding NOTHING else of interest along the way), I finally asked an employee at another store where Helly Hansen was located. 'Oh, I think they're over on the other side of the freeway'. By this time I was already pretty fed up with the whole outlet shopping experience, and decided that if I was going to get back in my car I'd be better off just getting on the freeway instead of crossing it in search of more lame 'bargain' stores. read more

Not a total disappointment since our last visit to the Gap outlet redeemed my final analysis. The first outlet center is a bit disjointed with the UnderArmour being clear across from the main center of Eddie Bauer and Polo stores. The second outlet center did not have a sign which wasn't helpful. The Helly Hansen was interesting to visit but unfortunately just had a bunch of samples which were either too small or too big for normal folks. The Gap had the best bargains so we spent majority of time there. No time for Nike since we were on our way to Portland. Overall, great bargains with not so many folks with made this a nicer experience than Gilroy outlet just south of SF. read more

As far as outlet malls go...this place isn't great. There's a small selection of stores with even smaller selections of clothes, knick knacks, and "stuff." HOWEVER....whenever my friends and I are either going to or coming from Portland, this has become a must-stop. Why?? The Nike Clearance Store. Whether you're looking for shoes or apparel, this place usually has some hidden treasure each time we go. Since it is a smaller store it's hardly ever rummaged through and I can usually find some shoes that are sold out at other outlets/clearance stores. Otherwise, they also have Gap, Coach, Bed, Bath and Beyond, and a few other stores. I wouldn't go out of your way to shop at this outlet, but if you're nearby, it's worth a stop. read more

In San Diego, we lived in an area 15 minutes away from the nearest outlet (Las Americas, by the border of Mexico) and the other 2 ones were about 40 minutes drive away (Carlsbad and Viejas). So yeah, we love our outlet shopping days. When we moved here, its a little disappointing that the "good" outlet is about an hour and a half away (Tulalip) and another smallish one in North Bend (another one an a half away drive yo!)... and then there's Centralia. Yeah, Centralia is the closest one, at roughly 30-40 minutes away from our area, not very close but still a stop we make whenever we drive south. Pros: 1. Bath and Body Works outlet 2. Coach outlet that isn't as crazy packed as other Coach outlet stores everywhere 3. Wilson's store for my jacket and coat addiction 4. Nike Outlet store 5. Next to freeway 6. Clean Cons: 1. the layout isn't great, the flow for foot traffic going from one store to another is ridiculous. Not a nice place to visit during weary weather (which is a common occurrence in WA). 2. Outlet is separated by the freeway, so if you came from coach and wanted to visit the Nike Outlet, you have to walk back to the parking spot, drive to the other side of the freeway, park again to get to the other store. 3. Few good places to eat. Just fast food. 4. Parking on the "Coach" side of the outlet is ridiculously annoying. Parking on the "Nike" side of the outlet is a lot better. I've always thought of outlet malls as a place where things are supposed to be really cheap. Not really the case. They seem like a regular store with some sales and discounts.... I mean, I guess if I went to Macy's or surf shop and tried to buy a bunch of Volcom shirts and dresses it would be much more than I spent while I was here... This outlets is actually on both sides of I-5 in Centralia, this trip we went on the side with the Quiznos and Nike in it- the other side seems to have more stores though, and more parking. The Bed & Baths place on the Nike side is more of a smelly place with stuff that smells good (or bad depending on your taste lol) but warning here, if you have sensitivity with lot of smells I would recommend not going in here! There are no deals here. It's trashy and difficult to navigate and the merchandise isn't a bargain. It isn't worth getting off the freeway to shop. Outlet malls rarely have bargains, and this place has even fewer than usual outlet malls. There's a Nike, Bass, Hanes, Lane Bryant, Christian store, and others, but you have to drive around to get to all of them, they aren't on the same side of the street. Skip it. read more

This is a kind of sparse outlet mall, especially now that you have Tulalip up north and Woodburn in Oregon. However, if you're driving between Portland & Olympia, I must say, this mall has really nice bathrooms :) For that and, really, I rarely turn down the opportunity to browse the Coach store. The website shows the stores hours as 9am - 8pm Mon - Fri. When we arrived on a Friday several of the stores were closed until 10:00 am. So all of the stores are allowed to open whenever they feel like it. The website shows coupons that must have been old promotions. The prices were not below retail prices, especially the shoes. Hate how it's spread out over 3 locations - 2 on one side of the freeway and 1 on the other side. Parking is odd at the one (with Eddie Bauer). The layout of this outlet center is so poor that it's surreal. Half the stores are on one side of the freeway, and half are on the other. Huh? We stopped on the west side to check out the Coach outlet. The signage leading to the outlet is strange, and along with several other vehicles, we ended up crossing through another center's parking lot to get there. Once you're in the main outlet area, good luck finding a spot - the parking is entirely inadequate. The stores we stopped in were okay, but nothing special, and lacked the selection of other outlets we've been in - the "clearance" section at this Coach did not have nearly the discounts of other Coach outlets. No deals here. Other stores we stopped in weren't much different. There was nothing here that couldn't be found in other outlet centers that have better facilities and more stores to choose from. read more

I visited Centralia Factory Outlets for the first time today because of the New Balance Store. I actually think the store selection is decent. It has stores that I like (New Balance, Under Armour, Nike, and The Gap). Areas that need to be improved to make this place more pleasant to visit are: 1) Do something about foot-traffic safety. and 2) Bathroom improvement. Two examples of poor foot-traffic consideration are the area between the New Balance store and the VF store. Patrons are forced to cross the street where there is NO crosswalk and active traffic moving in both directions. The other side of the mall (located on the other side of I-5) is bisected by another busy road that has no crosswalks for patrons to safely cross. I really don't know how the designers of this mall could have missed this obvious safety concern. People in Washington seem to be really good about stopping for pedestrians in marked crosswalks-So put up some crosswalks for goodness sakes. The bathrooms are really lackluster. On the Nike side there is one in VF waaay in the back corner and a two-stall job next to the Nike store. Compared to other outlet stores, I give their bathroom situation an D grade. Most people coming here are probably driving for some time to get here. They are gonna have to go pee. This outlet is in prime real estate and can address just a couple easy fixes to make the customer experience better here. I can only hope that somebody in management takes the time to read these reviews. read more

As a whole, these outlets are lackluster. The only two shops that appealed to me were the Gap Outlet and the Bath and Body Works Outlet. Those individual stores have great deals (especially the pair of corduroys I got for $2.50 at the Gap), as a group of stores, there's rather disappointing selection. Especially given how close the Oregon border is. Shopping there is like saving 10% on every purchase compared to shopping in Washington. It's lovely. read more

Why is it that their stuff are more expensive than the mall.
