This place is awesome. Me and the wife always stop in randomly to window shop and always leave with something. They are evenly priced and have a wide selection of things from clothes to household products. The staff are helpful and friendly as well which is always a plus. read more

I have donated two carloads of good used things, including lots of books and notebooks, over the last week. The two different gentlemen who helped me unload the car were both professional, kind, and friendly. It's a pleasure to donate to Goodwill with such kind representatives in the donation center. First, the restrooms are closed. Then no bags at checkout. I cannot believe they do not have bags, maybe a big sign at the front door to let us know. I am a thrift store shopper for 50+ years. The selection wasn't the best maybe they are too picky about what is donated. The cashiers were friendly and helpful. Kind of a sad looking store. Not sure if we will go bacK. read more

I've always done well shopping at this store. But today I had a particularly good experience I wanted to share. I was in the store and in a bit of a hurry because I had to get to work. I picked out several pairs of pants and paid for them. I didn't want a receipt because I can't imagine ever taking anything back. Well, when I got home with my pants yesterday, I took a closer look and one of the pairs I bought to wear at work had a huge rip in the upper leg in the front and some ragged holes at the cuff. I took them back today and showed the clerk and was able to get a store credit for them and found an even better pair for the same price. They didn't have to do that since I didn't have a receipt. They were very nice about it and I just wanted to say thank you again here on Yelp. I'll shop that store every time I need clothes and feel confident about my purchases. read more

A pretty good Goodwill location and one that we always try to stop at when our road trips take us through Centralia. The store isn't huge, but it's clean and well maintained, with the usual men's, women's, kids, and housewares department. The majority of the stuff is for women, but there's a decent men's section as well, including shoes. I was especially excited that this store had sweaters -- for whatever reason, many Goodwills outside Seattle don't carry sweaters year-round, which does not help my ongoing holiday sweater quest. The other highlight of this store (although this seems to be an increasing trend at all WA Goodwills) is that they had a bunch of new Target stuff with the tags still on. It seems like Target just clears out their clearance rack and sends the dead stock over to Goodwill, meaning you can find CHEAP tights, t-shirts, cardigans, skirts, etc. for even cheaper than they were at Target. They have their own colored tag so they're often exempt from the colored tag discounts, but oh well, it's still a bargain, especially for tights! If you're thrifting your way across WA or taking a road trip, it's worth the detour to hit the Centralia Goodwill. read more

Clean with a friendly staff and a large selection of used items as well as items that were clearly brand new from Target inventory (Goodwill often buys cargo containers full of soft goods from target and resells at about 50% off the original price. this practice is common in many states!) I found 2 new pairs of shoes that had come from Target in my size (10.5 and 11) and they are my new favorites! Cute grey booties and a pair of "sensible" white and lace nursing no skid shoes. We got some things for the kiddos and two new pair of Cat and Jack shoes for my baby girl. We had to cut our trip short the first night for an event and we even went back the next day to continue looking through the items. I would recommend some customer service training. No one asked how are day was or if we needed any help finding items. The cashier was complaining about something when we got up there and seemed unapproachable. I've worked in customer care management for over 10 years, and also own my own business. If you do not know how to properly care for your customers, they'll go someplace else. as always though, I love buying second hand, I love Target goods, and I love doing this as a part of saving items from going to the landfill. Only giving one star and wish I could give them none. They are so picky on what they take along with charging An exorbitant amount for free stuff which is all donated. I have donated over a thousand dollars of stuff in the last year from my moms estate and they pick & choose on that want. Well no more, I am boycotting them and will no longer give them my business. They need their non profit charter revoked because they are all about profit along with raping the public when they get it free. People need to wise up to their scam tactics. read more

I'm only reviewing this place because I think it is out of your way. If it was in Tacoma, even, I would not review it. This is the best Goodwill in the state of Washington. I have been to them all. For example, at a normal Goodwill you will find maybe one pair of shoes every third visit. At this Goodwill I bought four pairs of shoes within five minutes. Ball jars! Modern lamps with harps and shades! Clean sturdy bakeware! Never, ever, ever go here. It doesn't exist. Stay up there. read more

This is Goodwill Industries at their finest - the best in kitsch, second-hand, over-looked antiques, and ironic finds, ignored by the more hip city-dwelling population. This GW had one of the best second-hand sewing pattern collections I've ever seen at a Goodwill, and a fantastic kitchenwares section, in case you are still replacing items lost in a divorce or cross-country move. We found a number of perfect terrarium canisters here for my latest projects. Adequate population of unsettling men to follow you around, as per the required territory of a GW, and friendly, over-zealous employees rounded out an A++ shopping experience. Will shop again. p.s. This goodwill has slowly become shittier by the day. The customer service is terrible and the prices are even worse. It's cheaper to get brand new stuff at Ross which wont have bleach stains and smell like somebodies basement. I was in there at 6 45 on wed July 8th and was rushed out of the store well before their closing time of 7 by a rude old lady who said "time to go" and then stood there staring at me until I put the stuff down I was going to buy after I changed my mind due to her cuntyness. read more

I usually have a really good experience here but i didn't tonight. I got rung up by Carol who was very unprofessional and rude. She called her manager to restock her register and when she got off the phone she made a comment saying "she's probably on the rag because she's snippy". Dont talk poorly about your coworkers in front of customers. While she rang me up she kept whispering to the cashier next to her probably about me. When she couldn't find a ticket on an item I wanted to purchase, she asked me what happened to the price tag..After she rang me up she put the receipt on the counter and didn't say anything to me. CAROL, i hope you learn to be nicer to your customers. I've worked retail for 12 years and i know better then to treat customers like the way you treated me. Im employed full time and wouldn't steal a jacket or lose the price tag to get a cheaper price. You need to be nicer to your customers and not assume we're thieves or bad people. read more

This Goodwill has a great selection of shoes as well as women's clothes. Some items were priced a little high for a thrift store, but they were still reasonable for brand names. Lots of good finds and discounts. My only complaint is that they shove too many clothes onto some racks (such as jeans and long sleeve shirts) so it's hard to move them to see them. Overall, though, I found a lot of great things at this store! read more
