My washer was in need of repair so I called Central Appliance Service on Frog Hollow Road. I asked…read moreabout experience and he told me he had 30 years in repairing appliances. The man was kind of grouchy and I nearly changed my mind then. I should have. We set up a time to come to my home with him saying it would cost me $65 to show up and look at it, including the first half hour. When he got here, he looked at the washer while making lame comments/jokes that didn't have much to do with my washer and made me feel uncomfortable. After looking at it for a few minutes, he said it could be the motor, then the communications, then it was something else; now it's been 45 minutes and nothing except looking and talking. I did say you don't plan on charging me much if you don't fix it do you? He didn't answer that and spent another half hour looking and talking. He did get his meter and check for error codes. He got an error code 10 and said a 10? I've never seen a 10. Really, in 30 years? Finally after 90 minutes, he said it's the motor but it could be communications too. You need to call GE and get a motor. I'll just charge you the $65. So 90 minutes of my time listening to his lame remarks. Then he had no problem charging the $65 even though he did nothing but waste my time. Buyer Beware! Don't get ripoffed like I did.

Recently our Bosch dishwasher stopped working. It took over a month for someone to come and take 10 min to say the pump was burned up. ($97). We were then told it would take up to 6 months to get the new 800 series that we wanted. We went to Lowe's and they had the exact same dishwasher in stock. It was also $700 less! My plumber installed it and we are very happy with our purchase at Lowe's.
