Enrick is an honest, straight up guy and much like anything else in life that's all you should ask and expect from an experience mechanic. His service price is great for a garage that can pretty much do it all. Now I don't know about those who have previously provided less than glowing reviews but of course you can't please everyone. Maybe it's because they thought I was all black? Lol but these fools tried to charge me $120 for each muffler delete lmfao then 80 bucks for some cheap ass tips... He didn't even have the tips on hand, he was showing me thru a catalogue on his phones web browser, none of the tips had a price, he was throwing random ass prices for each tip... These clowns were speaking Spanish, good thing I understand and speak it but I was playing dumb with them. The funny thing is, I've lived maybe 3-4 houses down from these guys, since 2006.... no wonder nobody I know goes to them.. they're con artist Anyways.... The owner is very crooked. My car was there for A total of six days! When they told me to come get my car 10 minutes before they close their shop, they had did work that I did not ask for and said that they could not figure out why the car was acting up, then charge me 160$ for nothing, and said when I brought it back they would do a diagnostic for free, BUT THEY HAD MY CAR FOR SIX DAY'S, I had to hitchhike beg for rides pay lots of money to people to take me to work out of town and catch the bus and walk the entire time. the part they did fix cost $20 I looked up the price, they messed up and disfigured my car. after leaving the shop it broke right away, I could not call and contact them to let them know what had happened because they had already closed. SIX DAY'S in total of my time and money wasted I thought they where nice! But I can see now they where pretending they were nice just to take advantage of me. I just won't to cry I fill helpless stressed out and very cheated. I'm very sad that there are people out there Who are willing to take advantage of you because you don't know the difference. Don't take your car here because they are not trustworthy. This message is to Rick you put that on my car and it broke and is hanging off, it looks like it's going to fall off and hit another car when I drive my car on the freeway, I just want my original part broken are not back on my car. I never asked you to do it. I paid you up front to order a part that you never delivered and you didn't refund that money back to me you just kept it. You could have told me to my face that you could not fix it, but instead you put this part that I never asked for on my car. You could have just left it alone if you could not fix it, and that would just have been honest of you. Enric and Frank worked on my Toyota Tundra today.....WOW, these guys are great.....I had just stopped by to make an appointment for a check engine light and temp gauge not working..(rat chewed a wire) Enric said If I could wait 20 minutes, he would take a look at it......well, a little while later...my truck was totally fixed with a working temp gauge and determined the check engine light was from the gas cap malfunction.. Enric is a liar and a thief. I brought my Explorer in to get a new crate engine from Gearhead installed. He gave me a price of $1000 which was higher than everybody else by about $200 but told me it was because he would do a good fast job. He told me the job would only take 10 hrs but he might need the car 4 days. Plus being that the engine was out he would go ahead and put on any new parts i bought. So i thought lets give the local guy a shot he seemed honest and assured me how fast he could get it done. I ended up having a rental car for two weeks. Every time i called to check on the progress and he only picked up my calls when I blocked my number. Half the time it was a employee saying he was out.. Fourteen days later when I got there to pick it up I had to pay an extra $600 for the radiator and other parts they had broke.and I had to pay it or could not have my car. He just kept telling me it was an accident and these things happen but he could not loose money.I asked why I should pay for his mistake he started telling me about how he had his uncle or boss or an uncle he answered to and he could see what he could do but I needed to pay it all right now. Before he had said he was the owner. I had a baby with me and had already spent a fortune on a rental car as much as I didn't want to I gave the crook my money . The next day my check engine light came on I called him his answer again was that was not his problem. Come to find out when I went to get it smogged that he did not put my oxygen sensors back in. I had just put started to forget about this horrible experience when I found out a month later that he did not return my engine like he said he would and Gearhaed would not give me my $300 dollar deposit. When I called to ask him about it he said he'd have to check his his files and he'd call me back. He had always been very calm and respectful up until that point then when he finally talked to me again a week later he informed me he did not remember sending it out but he could not find it but and he lost all the paper work, and he is the only one how handheld that kind of thing.Sorry. One of the most frustrating moments Ive experienced. It had me full of anger and hatred for mechanics. I keep telling myself let it go this is just one of the dishonest nice to your face with a smile one crooks that make hard for the public to trust mechanics. Now I try and check yelp and the better business bureau before making a choice like this.The F they have with them for not responding to unhappy customers would have had me choose another shop for that reason. Thanks for listening had to get all that out I still hate ti think about it. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!!!! Enric and his staff really came through and helped me out when I was in a bind. I also have to give it up to AAA emergency roadside assistance for helping me out with my situation as well and getting my car to Central Automotive Repair. I've never heard of C.A.R. or have I ever met Enric until I checked the Yelp reviews. My problem started as I was completing my oil change at home when I noticed the drain plug would not screw back into the oil pan. As I looked closely, the mechanic who changed my oil prior stripped the inter thread of the pan and patched it up with a heli-coil. WTF. Unable to screw the oil drain plug back in and with no oil, my Mustang now sat inoperable. Needing a good mechanic that can help me out without breaking my bank, I found Central Automotive Repair on Yelp and saw that most reviews were 4 & 5 stars with the exception of 1 review. So I thought I'd take a chance at this business. Unfortunately, Enric could not install another heli-coil and stated the only option would be to replace the entire oil pan and gasket. Little did I know, the labor for the fix would cost me my pinky finger. But after Enric visually walked me around what needed to be done to get the repair done right, I said ok, but this repair is definitely out of my estimated budget. Thankfully, he was willing to work with me and a compromise a total cost. In the end, the oil pan and gasket was replaced and he also did some extra work; complementary. To sum it up, despite the total cost, I felt the Enric was honest and upfront with me, as well as being very knowledgeable in explaining and showing what needs to be done and why. It's not all the time that you drive away from an auto repair shop and feel confident the job was done right. In this case, I felt good about the job that Enric and his staff did. I HIGHLY recommend getting your car fixed at Central Auto Repair! My car blew a head gaskett they repaired my brakes all sorts of stuff and the original bill was over $1000 Enrich knocked it down to $765. Seriously, where else can you get that? They are fast, friendly and do quality work. I've referred them to co-workers, and family all were VERY pleased and continue to go there. They work on any car any problems.
