Jerome and Lisa own Precision Service in Vallejo, CA. I've been bringing my 19 year old Honda Accord here three times in the last 2 years. Jerome replaced the engine supports of the V6 awhile back. Lisa dropped me off at the ferry terminal so I could commute to work. I love the customer service! The second time was 2 weeks ago to replace the brake switch because the gear shift would sometimes refuse to shift from Park to Reverse. He replaced that part and even fixed the 3rd break light that hasn't lit for a decade or more. The third time was yesterday to diagnose why the cruise control malfunctioned after the brake switch was replaced. Lisa wrote up an estimate after we left the car in their shop. Jerome phoned 3 hours later to let me know that he resolved the problem and didn't charge me because the brake switch was not compatible with the cruise control. However on this particular day that wasn't an option I felt I had. I chose this shop due to good ratings here on Yelp and its location. I wasn't disappointed. They provided clear information on the problem along with several options. The price they quoted for the agreed to job is exactly what I was charged and not a penny more. I have a lot of miles on my car and they provided me with information regarding the state of my engine which I found very useful. They had my car ready to pick up within 24 hours of dropping it off. I can now say my search is over. Jerome heads the business here and he is now my go to guy for all the service needs for my vehicles. He really takes the time to explain what's wrong with the car and options for repair being mindful of your budget. He's a really easy going guy and easy to talk to. He performed a timing belt major service and tune up, and full brake service on my Lexus RX300. My car runs like new! Jerome also performed work on my dad's cars and he is thoroughly satisfied. I have to say, I'm glad I found this place. I have a 2001 rx300 and 2000 celica, and although they are older cars, I like not having a car payment. I don't want to have to get a new car unless these cost more to fix. With Precision Service Center, I don't think I'll be needing to worry about a new car payment for a long time. I would normally just go through the dealerships for maintenance because a lot of "mom-an-pop" spots just end up costing more in the long run. But I know Jerome has a background in dealership work so I get the best of both worlds. Dealer service with "mom-and-pop" pricing. I needed a fuel pump replacement on my Nissan Versa and I was so glad to have found this place. Jerome and his staff was very professional and the pricing was very fair as opposed to the ridiculous quote I received from the dealership. My car was fixed within a couple of days. Upon picking up my car, Jerome was nice enough to park it on the street for me since I had to pick it up later. He also pointed out other things that needed to be repaired on my car. Such a great little treasure trove of an auto shop! Super impressed. My husband found this place in search of brake services, and this one popped up with amazing reviews. We decided to give it a shot since Toyota dealership quoted me over $300 for front brake services. Precision Service Center gave my husband and I an awesome deal. Come to find my "Certified" used 2012 Scion IQ car, which I purchased less than year ago, at that same dealership that quoted us over $300 came with after-market brakes. Go figure, another reason to come back sooner than expected. Precision Service Center was able to take my car in, same day service. How awesome! I move back up Northern California from Los Angeles 6 month ago. I was afraid to find a mechanic that I could trust but somehow my older sister recommended Jerome and his employees. I was here first time and I only let him do my oil change and now April 05th Thursday 2018 I came back here to have my new KYB Gas Shocks Absorber to put on correctly on my car. I am very happy that there is finally a shop that I can take our cars too! The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The mechanic was meticulous in describing what he is going to do with our cars and explained what needs to be done to have the cars running optimal. All I wanted to do was change my timing belt and water pump for my truck, but Jerome suggested to change some other parts that needed replacing, since he was already working on the area of the other parts. His suggestion was very helpful and not forceful, which gave me the confidence that he actually cares about how the car will run. Jerome and Lisa are a godsend! I've had my 2000 Honda Accord since 2013 and for the most part had one mechanic (until my buddy moved to Arkansas and even then referred me to another reliable shop). When I relocated from New Orleans, LA to Vallejo, CA (3 days of driving), needless to say I had to find a new mechanic. I found Precision Auto via Yelp last year and have been getting great service (valve cover gasket leak fixed, new radiator, new brakes and rotors, etc.) from them ever since. Jerome knows his stuff, very professional. The man is recovering from a shattered femur bone and still finds the time to maintain his shop. I have heard Precision Service Center from my Pastor. I am not used to going to a mechanic other than Toyota dealership. But lately, Toyota dealership is becoming more expensive and I am becoming more skeptical with their service because my car is old (2001 Solara). I went to Jerome to get my car fixed because my car was having a hard time accelerating. Whenever I accelerated, my check engine light started flashing. It was so scary. I talked to him on the phone to see if he can tell me what's wrong with my car. Right then and there, he knew the problem, which gave me a good impression that he is really a good mechanic. When he did the diagnostics, he showed me where the problems were. (I really appreciate a business that helps the customer see the problem and for the customer to be part of troubleshooting). He even showed me the evap tube that was broken maybe accidentally (or not) by the Toyota dealership. He even took the initiative to even dig deeper, another level from the diagnostics and because of that, he even helped me saved money: He recommended me to fix one thing first before changing the more expensive part. He really fixed the source of the problem. My car is 100% working now. And I think because of the changes, my car mileage is now back to where it used to be. But it's not just that. He seems to enjoy fixing cars. He is calm and he gets the job done on time and with ease. Moreover, the place is so close to Seafood city (bunch of Filipino restaurant) and so waiting can be entertaining. Overall, if you need a mechanic you can trust, Precision Service Center is the place to go to. I will be transferring my service now from Toyota dealership to this place. I thank God for opening a reliable and trustworthy mechanic place.
