That is a least HALF of what all the other caterers in the area were going to charge. Plus, the food was AMAZING!!! I received so many compliments about the food, you would have thought we paid $50 a plate! Everyone kept asking who our caterer was...HOME PLATE CATERING! As a true testament to their quality, gratuity was not included in the final bill. The owner told me that she wasn't going to dictate how good of a job her and her staff did...that was up to us. He used to be the Executive Chef at Theo's and then 601 Arota in town and still serves many of the dishes they served there (now its the only place you can get them), but he has also come up with a variety of cool new dishes along the way. If you have any special requests, he can make just about anything. I think he has had the reputation of being upscale and high-end but I've heard from lots of people that they can do reasonable packages for those on a budget as well. I've been to events where he's catered burgers and salads. His staff is great to work with and they're very conscious about making sure the event is just what you wanted. The food was delicious, all 4 of us finished our entire order. The pulled pork and the brisket were both perfectly cooked.
