Every single time LeeAnn R. responds to one of these reviews, it is an ABSOLUTE JOKE. It is so upsetting to see her continue to respond that she takes these reviews "seriously", so I had to elaborate more. I truly feel she could care less about what is going on at the school as long as she gets her check. She once came to visit my class and it was like she was just spewing lies out of her mouth to make us all think we were in the greatest program EVER - when she left, we all just laughed because we knew it was all rehearsed with all of the awful things we had been experiencing at the school. I am a grown woman in my 40's. I had several meetings with my instructor, the Campus Director AND the Director of the program, and NOTHING changed.. (they also treat some of the instructors horridly behind the scenes and pay them a starting rate of only $35/hour when they could easily be making $50+ in the field - just look at indeed when they post). I also sent numerous emails to everyone I possibly could and nothing ever changed. The school is a JOKE in the community - no self respected medical office or hospital wants to hire graduates from CCC. They can't even give their students adequate "externships" because no one wants students from CCC. The equipment we used was soo out of date, and we even had to find our own pregnant women to scan during our OB/GYN sector. They provided ZERO assistance with this. Because I had no pregnant friends to practice on, I failed my scan exams horribly! Not to mention the sexual tone Edvin P would use about the women in my class and if they were "pretty" or not to him. I had a meeting with him and the Campus Director where he took ZERO accountability (she even said she wished he would have just stayed quiet, as she was so embarrassed with how he handled the meeting). Do not recommend this school at all. Half of my sterile processing class can't even walk for graduation because we don't have our externship hours completed -- not because of us, but because the school failed to place students at externship sites on time. Some people still haven't been placed, and the students who did get placements were placed way too late. It's unfair to students who paid money, showed up, and did everything we were supposed to do just to have graduation affected by the school's poor organization and lack of support. read more

This school is money hungry and a joke! The credits are INVALID or worthless in the majority of colleges and universities. Although you may be lucky to get a job its like playing the lottery with thier degrees. Keep in mind if you want to transfer to a different college in the future, your credits from this school will be worthless. Also make copies of contracts as they constantly try to raise thier prices and then tell you that you need to sign a new contract with a bigger debt if you wish to continue... they tricked many of my classmates to sign new contracts with higher program costs harrasing them if they didnt sign they would not be able to continue with the program. They also charge you for classes you DO NOT TAKE if you decide to drop a course or have a medically legal reason too. They ignore your calls about the charges and you are left with more debt than you signed up for. I had gotten a letter from Esmeralda their financial aid lady that my program loans had been adjusted to 13K as i had to sadly drop out dur to medical reason and had a legal provider note stating so. Months later i got 1 HUGE SUPRISE loan of 9K! when i wrote to Esmeralda to fix this and expalin this her answer was simply "please ask Tony why HE DECIDED TO TAKE THE LOAN BACK.. well i went to talk to Tony and waited 2hrs being told he was in meetings and to my suprise Tony was NEVER informed i was even at the office!! I have the proof in a transcript of a staff member writing my ADJUSTED debt. TO this day i cannot get the school to give the money back to the loan office and they charged me classes i didnt take. They STOLE OVER 9K in loans under my name and this has been a NIGHTMARE!!! Please be carefull !! youre better off in a legit college.. run away! With the millions theyre getting from price gauging programs their equipment for training is trash and broken! read more

Please do not waste your time or money here. It is best to obtain true* financial aid elsewhere and go to a public college or an actual institution where education is accredited properly and recognized if transfer is needed. I was first informed in 2010 or so that I would "obtain a great deal of education". Being so young and gullible at the time-being the first child to seek out education opportunities near my home town, I wanted a good education and fast! This was the wrong move. Although I did receive my "certificate" I found out later on that none of the "classes" I obtained at Central Coast College do not count as credits toward any other colleges. I obtained a job through personal connections-never through Central Coast College. I took adult classes instead for cheaper and obtained an extended amount of knowledge on typing. Central Coast College quoted me a different cost which I was not aware the loan had nothing to do with the payments toward the college itself. The entire school cost me a total of $12,000 which I'm still paying. Definitely not worth just* a certificate which is not valid in many work places. I still won't forget that they took off a huge part of my speech which was, "to continue to further my education". Guess they didn't like the idea of me finding out better options elsewhere. Talk about money hungry. I'm still shocked they're open but oh well. Just don't be lazy don't be afraid and seek out help. Search for more resources and advise! HARTNELL is an outstanding option and are always helping students! (Even other students like me who ended up at their college after having such a bad experience at Central Coast College) Thank you HARTNELL! (Below, see the recent threatening email they send for "failing" to pay their "institute". I'm not even going to waste my time emailing them on how sick they are in failing to let students know they cannot transfer any credits to legitimate colleges and universities! They should change they're name because they are NOT and I repeat they are NOT a legitimate college.) To threaten I may not find financial help for a true college because I haven't paid them, just blows my mind.) Mind you I'm still paying them. I am not afraid to attend an actual college I've already found legitimate resources that can help me pay. Nor am I afraid of them threatening me because I've fallen behind and therefore they can't "lend" to other students-that's just very unprofessional on their behalf. The time I was attending at ccc was horrible. My instructor was Suman, she obviously doesn't know what she's doing she would talk about her life in class we would stop with what we were doing just to listen to her ridiculous story's not to mention she would say very inappropriate things and cuss too. Their was this one time we were reviewing for a test and out of she said "if you suck to much d you'll de cancer" we were all confused and our face expression was like WHATT I no longer go their no more but I have communication with some of my peers that are still attending, they mentioned that things have gotten worse they've spoke to Madelyn about the situation and she didn't do anything about it. Spent $26k with taxes on the MA course. Never got a job the workers that are "supposed"to help you get placed were extremely rude since they do have a "priority" list of favorite students the rest of us are forgettable, the couple that owns this college think they own the world and can treat "their" customers however they please. I was bullied immensely by other peers until I moved myself to the morning class, and it made a HUGE difference, thank goodness. I thought about suicide many times for the amount of bullying I put up with thinking I could fit in as a human being. That being said, the staff do nothing. If it wasn't for my family, I wouldn't be in this world right now. I share this for anyone also going through this in this school. LEAVE there is better. I started my CNA program at the beginning of February 2022 and ended in March 2022. Sarah was my CNA instructor, and she was perfect at teaching and engaging with the students. We prepared for the final exam, and all of my classmates passed the CNA California State exam in San Jose (the school was kind enough to let us practice for 2 weeks so we could prepare for the upcoming state exam). In the last week, there was a job fair and everyone had a job lined up right after we passed our state exam. I already made the money I paid for the class within 2 months of working part time as a CNA. Don't hesitate; this is a great school if you like a fast-paced learning environment like I do. read more

I took the CNA class last year and it was a huge waste of money. The class was very easy but our instructor was completely unprepared. Mrs Hopkins I believe her name was. On many occasions she "confused" the tests and we would have to re take them. She didn't prepare us AT ALL for state exams and would constantly be telling us things opposite of what was in our books. She didn't pass half our class and only a handful of people made it to state because she was such a bad teacher. Would never go back to that school **edited I was one of the five people in our class who actually passed the state exam in the end. Mind you our class began with about 12-14 people. I'm a graduate of Central Coast College and I can tell you I had a wonderful experience when I attended Central Coast College in 2017. I took the Computer Office and Administration courses and loved it. To this day I still use the the books and my notes as reference. I also have received many interviews and job offers due to my certification from Central Coast College. I am also finally working my dream job. I also able to reach out to the counselors from my school for guidance. Interviewers are also very impressed with the portfolio I created from school. I went to Central Coast College and too the nursing assistant class... The main instructor Ms. Reid she kinda sucked at teaching things in the beginning. We had to complain about her in order for her to actually get her shit together..... Program is expensive compared to other schools but your done so fast. I attended CCC in 2008, had some issues with the owners, they weren't involved in our education process at all. I got good grades and was very young at the time, but I needed guidance. My 2 stars comes from the lack of help I received when finishing my classes, I never received my actual certification paperwork, no one helped me to get placed on my externship I had to do it myself, plus I never had anyone follow up with me to see if I got a job, I needed help or to see if I had ever been successful in my field of study. For $10,000 + you would think someone was hired to help us out. I wish I would've saved my money and went to a 4 year school. read more

I'm currently attending and should graduate in October. I love this school and it's teachers. Ms. Heidi, Ms. Gabby, and Ms. Brenda are fantastic! I already feel like I have the confidence to get a job. The only problem I have had so far was the beginning. It was really unorganized and a lot of us didn't know where we were supposed to go because we never received our schedules, and the teachers didn't have their rosters. I am currently enrolled at Central Coast College in the Computer Office Administration program, I started attending 3/2017. If anyone is considering enrolling at CCC be prepared for the following: Helpful, professional, and kind staff, current computer software, curriculum that is totally relevant to my program and career path. The school has a very strict attendance and tardy policy but I understand why, the class work moves very QUICKLY missing a day is like missing 3 days so it's only for your best interest and success for you to be there as scheduled. There is a lot of homework, and if you are rusty in math it's in your best interest to brush up on everything. When I first started they made it seem like such a great school and they are there to help their students get an education, but in all reality they are just a money hungry school that screws you over once you've completed the program. I started attending CCC in april of 2016, finished January 2017 & i'm pleased to say I really enjoyed it. Its well worth it if you try & put your mind into finishing the program, i did the MA. It's a lot of work, and they are strict but they do it so you can learn & experience how it's like in the real world. It might be pricey, but they do offer fafsa, loans and grants. I would Not recommend this Central Coast College for the Veterinary Assisting Program. I was told I would receive a hands-on experience/education which wasn't the case at all. I attended the VA program earlier this year and we never used our text books in class, the instructor had no sense of direction in what she was teaching. The instructor "googled" a lot of the student's questions or would tell us to Google the answers. When issues were brought about the lack of progress and education I was receiving from the program, the President Mr. Schaefer showed a lack of interest. He was not interested in resolving the issues and displayed such a sad lack of care in the dissatisfied education I felt I was receiving. For the amount of money this program costs and for the College's handbook to read "Time is Money", I would of have expected much more willingness in helping the program become the best it can be, which was certainly NOT the case. Mr. Schaefer was rude, demeaning and all in all not interested in bettering a program at a college that he is the President at and his name belongs to, truly sad. This is my first review and also my first college that iv'e attended, I'm just about to finish my first module but so far everything has been smooth. Since i have never attended college, i don't have anything to compare it to. Its a great place to have an education, the office staff counselors are great and helpful, the teachers are awesome very patient, the location is great, the hours are even better and the time frame to graduate is fast. the only thing that bothered me was the restrooms that have to be shared by 30+ students not including teachers, in one building and all at the same time during a 10 minute break. read more

Attending to Central Coast College is been challenging but at the same time, it has been awesome. Knowing that there are people that really care for you and for your future gives everyone a great feeling. The instructors are always there to help you out and to motivate you. Yes, it can be hard sometimes, specially if you have a full-time job and kids but just be honest with your instructors and with the staff whenever you are having issues or feel like you want to give up and they will always find a way and the tools to help you out so you can succeed and don't give up! All training is well provided for you to find the confidence to go to the real world and get not the job, but the career you were looking for... or at least, this happened to me....everyone that needs a quick but powerful training to start your career, this is the place... (Computer Specialist Accounting). Don't wait for CCC to do everything for you, use the tools as soon as you feel ready to do your homework and start applying for the careers you are looking for. I feel so blessed that I did my part and before even graduating, I got hired by an institution owned by the Monterey County where I hope to move up and get to the place I want to be at.
