Within 30 minutes of messaging the owner on Yelp I was contacted by a very helpful and pleasant Brigette. She gave me a great quote and had someone available to bar tend at my event which was now less than 24 hours away. Brigitte herself showed up right on time and got to work immediately; she was absolutely amazing. She had the perfect mix of professionalism and friendliness with all 120 of my guests. I'm not going to go into detail regarding the service that we experienced at our wedding, as my mother taught me that if I don't have anything nice to say, DON'T SAY ANYTHING. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND! PS..... 1) Didn't put out our guest book until 1 hour before the end of the reception, 2) Didn't put any of our 125 votive candles out (let alone take them out of the box) and arrange on the reception tables, 3) Set up our ceremony chairs (70+) in the wrong location and then the groom and 2 friends had to move them 30 minutes before our wedding, 4) Put the final payment through on my credit card without asking for authorization (this is a credit card I had provided for a previous payment, but didn't authorize it for any other payment), 5) Was very unorganized and not detail oriented - had to have a 1.5 hour call with her during the planning as she didn't remember (or had them wrong) particular details of the arrangements we agreed upon in our first face-to-face meeting. As a previous Catering manager/party planner, I feel I am in a good place to write this review. My wife and I got married in early May in Solvang, CA - Our caterer had wonderful food, but they did not offer service - so we hired Central Coast Party planners to help execute the wedding. I met with Bridgette about a month before the wedding, and went over all my thoughts with her, and she offered some great advice on how the event could be managed. We knocked out the little details during the site visit, and then I left to deal with the other pieces of planning a wedding. Fast Forward - Day of Wedding. Quite simply - everything went off perfect, without a hitch. Bridgette's team was on time, and setup the party exactly like we discussed. The tables were set perfectly, and my Wife was over joyed by how beautiful everything looked amazing. For my wedding... in my opinion and experience, unprofessional staff including the owner. I can't say that about all the staff, but most of them completely unprofessional, the most unprofessional being the owner Brigitte. They did set up and clean up nicely, and I appreciated that but the rest of their services were a mess. From staff hoarding food in the back before all guest were served. Refusing my guests a serving of food choice at the buffet line when it was getting low, only so they can take it to the back and eat it and/or take it home. To other staff dancing the night away including Brigitte (when the wedding was over she had the nerve to ask me for my guest's number who she danced with ). While also enjoying them selves to alcoholic drinks, and taking pictures in the photo booth . I cannot believe "a professional company" would do these things at someone's event that they got hired to work for. It is NOT ok to party at an event you got hired for. Some of her servers having a horrible attitude, one flat out ignored me when I tried to ask her a question as she passed by our table. Her bartender after my 3rd request to stop using plastic cups....I had to physically go over there and remove the cups from her possession. I also asked them to stop displaying the soft drink options at the bar, as if it was decor. They were supposed to pour those soft drinks at the table upon request, somehow that plan was forgotten. I finally got tired and gave up trying to repeat myself over and over. While also having the nerve to put a tacky "tip" jar as if the MANDATORY 20% tip is not enough. The only reason they were paid the"tip" at the end of the night was because it was my remaining balance, which she said I could do in cash the day of so she could distribute it to the staff. Talking to Brigitte about these issues that you experienced is a waste. She is incredibly argumentative and does not accept fault of anything from herself or her staff. Claims that they did everything perfect and if it was not done perfect it's because someone else messed up and not their fault. All she did was call my guest and other vendors liars for making up such wild stories about what they experienced or saw. She is also very rude to other vendors, treats them poorly if it's not her way. One of her staff actually apologized to another vendor for Brigitte's attitude. I tried for a couple of months to speak to her about this, and all she did was continuously attack me and on one of my reviews she publicly replied telling me I was difficult and drove my vendors to drink and talked about my declined card and also gloated to me about how she did dance at the wedding and didn't see what the problem was, she enjoyed and herself and that he was very handsome (in fact she posted a video of her dancing) She finally did reach out to me. We had a long conversation and I though we were going to come to some kind of peaceful settlement. For the first time she somewhat apologized, and told me she would do a refund ONLY IF I removed the reviews. Like a dummy I believed her and I removed them. A little over a month passed by and I did not hear from her. She finally did reply to me after a month, only to let me know that she was not able to do any kind of refund because of the "damage" I caused with my review. She also messaged me 2 days later that if I was thinking of re-posting my review that was a defamation of character, and could be very detrimental. I have never in my entire life experienced this amount of unprofessionalism and treatment from a company. Most companies apologize and try to make it right. All I wanted from her was an honest apology and I also felt that there needed to be some repercussion for the behavior, unprofessionalism which is why I asked for a refund. Weather she wrote me a check for a dollar or a million dollars.... nothing was going to change what happened on my special day. However, Instead she has turned this bad experience into an even uglier thing. Turning her self into the victim and accusing me of blackmailing and extortion. I didn't know asking for a refund because you were not happy with a company's services is blackmail. When I asked for some kind of refund, my intention was never to remove the review, she came up with that condition in order for her to do any kind of refund. Somehow, she turned it around on me, and I'm now the bad guy. I'm trying to find peace and move on from all of this.... and I do have amazing memories of my wedding, but it's hard to also not think back of the bad memories, embarrassment and the aftermath that she created since. I would never in a million years wish this same experience on another bride. I'm sorry we couldn't see eye to eye Brigitte....but please learn from this experience to make improvements to your future services and events, especially something as special as someone's wedding. read more

Sorry to say worst ever .Absolutely zero service accept from her staff. Brigett was recommended to me by the company I rented casino equipment from. Our first conversation went well.She promised this would be a stress free night. She would order and pick up with her truck all dishes, bar glasses and utensils, ice buckets, serving ware, table clothes, basically anything in needed to serve 60 people and have A FULL BAR. Not wine and beer. A full bar in addition to soft drinks ,wine and beer. She was to met me at venue on day of event and set up 3 hours proior, None of that happened Got a call from Taylor rentals friday before they were there with delivery. This was in Shell Beach. I live in Atascadero. I called Brigette and absolutely no responds. By the time I drove down the grade they left everything and departed. I was unable to inventory went came ,which should have been Brigettes job I felt, and on driving there found out thru a conversation with driver that certain big items were missing. Since Taylors closes at 5 on Fridays and is not open weekends i had to rush to their shop in San Luis to pick things up that I knew were missing at that point. Next day of party. Arrive at venue to find NO serving utensils at all, no platteres, bowls to service in, no table clothes, NO BAR GLASSES at all. Made 2 trips to Kmart in A.G. to supplement everything spending an expected 4 to 500.00 extra dollars. Her staff was not surprised at any of this and informed me she would not answer, she was in Santa Barbara with a much larger wedding she got last minute and this was usual for her. By the time I made all last minute frenzied runs, I was 45 minutes late and missed my husbands toast and start to party. Never did i stop to shower or stop the setup. When I did get a responds , it was 1 text quote LOL cant you handle this and go got what I need. I have called after party to be insulted about bringing up the text, she asked what my problem was she had heard party was great. This was not to her credit. It was to the credit of the Casino people ,Elvis entertainer, and photo booth. I asked for a refund. She then berated me for blaming her that I had missed the start and toast to my husband. She passed the blame to Taylors. She basically said she didn't have any responsibility to keep to her agreement with me prior because everything got covered. even though she did none of the work, never met me at the venue the day of as agreed . My bar wear consisted of wine glasses which I stressed these people are not wine drinkers, juice glasses and water glasses. Her own staff warned me not to call, she would never answer. At end of night my cash at hand was low from buying everything not supplied by her, and told the wait staff Id send the tip to Brigette. They asked me not to ,due to they would never recieve any tip. So again I had to travel out to atm to get more cash to tip them. They worked hard. I had spent almost two thousand dollars to be insulted my this women and do the work myself. I've decided to go with two stars because my day ran somewhat smoothly (**I planned and organized my entire wedding, CCPH was only given instructions and directions) and the bartending staff was very kind and got great reviews from my guests. Based on what I've experienced and heard from guests, this company is best served as bar tenders or servers for catering. I believe they misrepresented themselves by saying they were day-of-Coordinators. I do not enjoy having to address unsatisfactory items and would normally brush them under the rug, but a wedding day is a very important date and I feel as though any bride looking for a company should know upfront what they may be getting themselves into. With that being said, here is what I experienced, heard from my guests, and should be taken into consideration before hiring CCPH: 1.) I paid upfront for a 20% gratuity for the entire bill. When we arrived at the reception after taking pictures, I was a bit appalled to see tip cups at both bars. I understand most guests would like to tip the bartenders but they should have kindly replied with "Your tip was already covered by the Bride and Groom." All of my guests had to travel quite a ways to attend the wedding and I did not want them thinking they needed to pay any additional money for their drinks at the wedding. 2.) I provided multiple bottles of liquor for the bar, enough so that I knew we wouldn't run out. Apparently towards the end of the night, my guests were being told that there was no more vodka, and we had run out. I was more than prepared to not run out of anything! We found 10+ FULL bottles of vodka the next morning. I understand there was concern about guests getting back to their hotels after the wedding, but all of our guests who were drinking called taxis for a pickup. 3.) We did run out of ice, which was a little shocking considering we ordered 800 pounds, but ok. My catering staff ran to the store for more, Not CCPH. My father paid the catering company for the ice trip, since they were the ones that went into town for it. Apparently, coordination followed up with my father to get paid for running to town for ice when it was in fact the catering that went into town and had already been paid. Coordination stated that they should've been given the money to pay the difference of the catering ice trip. I just found that very, very interesting, almost as if something fishy was being attempted. 4.) I paid $95/hr. for 12 hours of day-of-coordination. Coordination was there Thursday for 1 hour for my rental deliveries, Friday for 1 hour for my rehearsal dinner, and arrived at 3 pm to 11 pm for the wedding. That is 10 hours. So at this point, it is what it is, but technically, maybe coordination should've been there a little earlier the day of the wedding to make sure anything out of place was taken care of. 5.) I've worked multiple catering jobs before and understand that the staff gets to enjoy the meal AFTER all the guests have had the chance to eat. According to guests, coordination was going through the Appetizer bar ahead of guests, eating items as they went along. Now, I am not sure if this was to organize a plate for an elderly guest or not, but according to my catering past, the staff eats afterwards and is out of sight, in order to not offend any on-lookers. 6.) The one thing that probably bothered me the most is that I provided an itinerary for the day with a strict timeline of events. Now I understand when things fall behind and I was very clear that the two things that needed to start on time was the ceremony and dinner. Everything else could be adjusted. So when toasts began, we were a tad behind schedule and that is fine. My father got on the microphone for his speech, and I won't lie, it was a little long winded, but my Godmother overheard coordination say, "This speech is going way too long. We are completely off-schedule." What nerve! And I say this because, I never saw coordination the whole night letting us know what time is was or letting us know if we were behind schedule and how we could correct it. I am his only daughter and if he wanted to speak for an hour, then we would've just adjusted elsewhere. My advice, next time, you should talk about people where no one can hear you. Other small things occurred but I think stuff like that happens at weddings and aren't as important to address because you just have to go with the flow sometimes and that's okay. Brigitte is a very nice woman and we never had any issues prior to the event, nor do I have any malice towards her now. She was engaged and is organized on her own and I give her compliments for that. I think her staff is wonderful and they did a great job, but again, it was just a misrepresentation of what they do. Hire them as bar staff, Great! Hire them as catering staff, Great! But I do not recommend hiring as day-of-coordination. It's just not what they do. read more

Unfortunately, I was very disappointed in Brigitte's staff the day of our wedding (6/28/2014). The bar was directly behind our ceremony area, and I had requested during my consultation with Brigitte that during the ceremony the bartenders go elsewhere so they were not in the bar during that time and I am so sad to say one of the first images I had walking down the aisle was her staff STILL setting up. During my consultation Brigitte reassured me that they would stand somewhere with their hands behind their backs out of the way during this time and was very understanding of the situation.I added time to our original invoice (1 hour and a half early) to ensure set up would be complete by then. The bar looked very messy the entire night which I was sad about because I pay close attention to detail (i.e. there were boxes on the side of the bar- seen in the back of our ceremony photos). We had a signature drink with a special straw and strawberry garnish and it was rarely done right. Some people's drinks were missing strawberries or had a silly plastic brightly colored straw the staff brought with them. I got several complaints from family and friends that Rob was not friendly and often gave them drinks in the wrong cup (i.e I was given beer in a short wine cup). The staff was also responsible for setting wine out on the tables during dinner, it was done too far in advance and due to the heat all the wine got too hot and had to be poured out (hundreds of dollars of red and white wine). I was most appalled to find out there was a tip jar out in the beginning of the night when I paid 20% gratuity in advance (included on the invoice). In my opinion we were over promised and under delivered, Brigitte told my husband and I she would be there that day and did not come- the biggest problem with this is that I had communicate solely with her and she knew the plan for the evening for her staff. I emailed Brigitte to let her know how I felt and she responded with an apology, but ultimately blamed everything aside from the messy-looking bar on my wedding coordinator. This tells me that her staff is not able to think for themselves in a highly stressful and busy event. A day-of-coordinator has a lot to juggle and I hired Brigitte and her team because I felt very confident in their ability to only better assist and help out my coordinator. Brigitte mentioned in her reply that I was under staffed in her opinion but I had added staff members on after our consultation per her request and I was given the impression that although one more staff member would be ideal (but not in the budget) that with my wedding size and buffet style dinner we would be fine with the amount of help we had. We had worked out the logistics of where her staff would be to maximize the help but like mentioned early without Brigitte there (the person I had communicate details with) this was not carried out. If I would have known in advance she was not going to be able to make it to the event I would have relayed a lot of the information her and I had discussed to my coordinator or even written out detailed plans for the staff to receive. I hired Brigitte and her team because her yelp reviews were so great, and I am still so sad today that I did not have the same experience as all the other reviewers did. All of my other wedding vendors were flawless so it's disheartening to leave such a detailed negative review. My hope would be that no other bride experiences disappointment after months of budgeting, planning, and thoughtfully hiring vendors. And that my, probably, far too abundant criticism here is some how helpful in preventing future confusion and mistakes on such an important day. read more

Our company had a party at the Circle Bar B ranch in Gaviota. The bartender was from this company. His drinks were not bad, but his service and attitude were horrible. Our employer had told us not to worry about tipping, that he would add it to the final bill.Well apparently no one informed their bartender. He was rude and actually had the nerve to go as far as complain to myself and also a couple of the other guests. I was so HAPPY AND PLEASED with Brigitte and her staff... She came over days before my 60th Birthday party to figure out how to set it all up, and arrived early the day of to get it all organized. It was a Pot-luck with also a hired Traveling Taco Man!!! There were at least 100 folks in my home, in the backyard, and in the garage where many long tables were set up!! And every time I tried to do something in my kitchen she waved me out of there!!!! So, I had an absolute BLAST at my own Party, and can't even imagine how I could have ever done it without her.....My hair would have been all ripped out!! Then, she packaged up leftovers and cleaned up everybody's dishes and plates, which made my life much easier. Central Coast Party Helpers did an extraordinary job helping with the 90th birthday party I put on for my parents last month -- so much so that it couldn't have been a better experience. We had about 70 people ranging from kids to 90s, many of whom had driven to Arroyo Grande from Los Angeles or San Francisco. Our bartender and server, Patty and Sophia, were each a remarkable combination of professional and personable. They invented creative solutions to a couple of problems caused by having an outdoor event on a windy day, helped people who needed it with the buffet, ensured vegetarian entrees were reserved for actual vegetarians, were right on top of bringing out the big cake with candles, and were packing up dirty dishes for pickup before I knew it. Owner Brigitte Faulkner was also really helpful in coordinating directly with the caterers and advising me on other things in advance. 6 stars! read more
