I have used CC Party Helpers more times than I can count! My southern upbringing taught me that if you have more than 8 guests, you need hired help to avoid neglecting your guests or causing them to start washing dishes out of guilt. I love getting a bartender for private parties or maybe a grill cook too! My experience was far from satisfactory. The event was poorly organized, causing significant frustration for attendees.

I used them last March and even though rain was expected, we moved our patio furniture outside and had them set up four tables with chairs inside our covered on patio on Saturday before our party. Because of showers on Sunday we moved the outdoor bar inside the covered patio. But best of all the owner bailed us out by bar tending that Sunday afternoon. Everyone was impressed with his friendliness and work ethic in helping to clean up. They came to pick up and take away the tables. Chairs and the two propane torch heaters. Okay, I admit, I am an admin for CCPH so I get that the expectation would be for me to make a 5 star review no matter what but honestly, I would've given Brigitte and the AMAZING staff she sent over for my 5 year anniversary party a 5 star review if I didn't even know her. We ran into a very challenging emotional moment at our party with the planned private chef (sourced by my husband and I) not being able to fulfill the job, and not only was the waitstaff already great, but they completely stepped in with plan B and made our dinner party work like no snag had even happened. Jenn, Ellen and Ashley absolutely saved me from going into panic meltdown mode as the Chef informed me at 5:35 that they would not make it for the 6o clock dinner. We were mid cocktail hour and guests were getting excited to sit down and eat the special dinner we built up for months. The waitstaff just got down to business and handled the situation. They had extremely positive attitudes, set up our beautiful party with respect and care, took care of every single guest with 5 star service and just had fun and made it fun for us all! They did our dishes, they threw our trash away and they even set up everything for our brunch the next morning! The bartender, Gary, was the BEST!!!!! Thanks for responding Brigitte! Funny how you recollect things. The venue owner was present at our wedding and the caterer was practically holding the bar tenders hand through her duties all throughout the night. Your account is nothing like what either of them recall, in addition to our DJ mentioning her drinking a white claw and leaving the bar on her own and dancing ALONE. As far as someone grabbing her, that is extremely unlikely as I personally witnessed her initiating flirting with several male guests from behind the bar that no one could access and I even asked the venue owner to please keep an eye on her as it was so inappropriate. In addition to you stating she was requested to stay late, impossible. We had a hard stop at 9:30 and everyone was moved inside and I personally cleaned up HER mess at 9:40pm. I was not drunk, I remember it all as I was FUMING I paid for a service I had to clean up extra for, and that the venue even had to help clean up (at cost to me). As far as rentals go, feel free to look back on our emails. It's so great to have a written record. I NEVER asked you to provide rentals, only asked for an estimate because on the phone you mentioned you CAN do rentals. I even told you in separate emails we never wanted the water goblets. YOU put them on there yourself. The emails following the space heater were all regarding an estimate, you took it upon yourself to try and bill for it. As ive said before, I spoke with you shortly after the event and brought all of this up. Funny how there was no mention of guest misconduct... She flirted with 2 male guests, and neither of them were with her the 2 times she left the bar to go dance. The first time, one was in the bathroom and the other was in the barn taking photos with the photographer. The 2nd time, she was dancing right outside the barn by the DJ, everyone else was inside the barn since it was so cold. Since it was such a small wedding, there must have been someone in our 45 person wedding that witnessed this, I'll reach out and find out who, if any. And yes, 6 months later because my wife's review was deleted. Here I am, created a yelp account just for this since it was and is especially now, very unprofessional. Slandering my guests from your bartenders misconduct, and then trying to place the blame anywhere other than your bartender for her own mistakes. I understand it's your business to defend, but also yours to own your mistakes and shortcomings (whether from yourself or from your staff). Like I had said before in my original review, my interactions with you were great, until this one. I suggest you follow up with your bartender on the tips, she walked away with a lot more than $125. We were told by 10 guests they had tipped her $20 or more by themselves (we were told over $300 for sure, possibly up to $500) on top of the $150 I personally handed her at 9:30. So if she's lying to you about her tips, I wouldn't be surprised she lied to you about the rest of the evening. For many years we have been using Central Coast Party Helpers for a large garden party we host. They are fabulous!! After weeks of preparation it is so nice to enjoy our own party. I'm writing this review two days after having successfully pulling off the BEST "Big Birthday" party ever - thanks to Brigitte and her team at Central Coast Party Helpers. After several weeks of firming up my concept of how I wanted my party to look, on the day of the party, I was so relieved to have Brigitte and crew appear right on time and whirl into action. They quickly and beautifully set up the tables, buffet, drinks, and party ambience well in advance of my guests' arrival. The party went off without a hitch, and I felt free from having to monitor how things were going. My guests had a marvelous time in the festive environment set by CCPH. All the food, drinks, dessert, etc., were nicely set out and readily available for my guests to enjoy ad lib. Staff members stealthily removed empty plates and cups from the tables, hardly noticed by guests. They were very efficient, but unobtrusive in their serving and cleaning up. At the end of the evening, the crew very quickly, but thoroughly collected all our personal party supplies and left-over food for us to load into our cars to return home. They then flew around, cleaning the party venue up in just a matter of minutes, returning it to its pre-party condition for use by a church group the following day. It looked like there had never been a party that night! In the months before the party, Brigitte was always very quick to respond to any questions regarding planning and organization. She also showed a lot of experience in how she understood my concepts and could interject good ideas that would enhance the experience of my guests. Our son and his fiance got married Saturday May 14th at the Back Bay Inn in Baywood Park. The bride's parents hired CCPH for the wedding and reception and we hired them for the rehearsal dinner. We couldn't have been more happy with them!! Everything they touched was done perfectly! Christina, our coordinator, was professional beyond our expectations! She was here, there, everywhere!! The serving staff for the rehearsal dinner set up the serving tables and dining tables perfectly and served our guests professionally. They cleaned up and were gone like a whisper!! The wedding and reception was handled perfectly as well!! It was tons of work but they handled it seamlessly!! Kudos to CCPH as they contributed in a VERY large part to the success of the wedding!! Caution when using this company. While searching for a company that would give me staff for our open house/birthday party I stumbled upon central coast party helpers. After speaking with Bridget and her assuring me that they were one of the best in the Central Valley, I contracted her for a bartender and two waiters then proceeded to give her the full fee which she required. Several weeks before the party there had been no communication from her or her bartender which she had promised me so we could to run through cocktails. I was able to reach her and she assured me her bartender would be calling me back, which took another couple weeks. Upon speaking with him for quite a while, hence he was very knowledgeable and friendly, and assured me that he was a great bartender he would make two kraft cocktails and also provide the watermelon juice that we needed for the signature. Margarita, I was satisfied at that time. A few days before the party I got nervous because I not heard back from him regarding the cocktail menu, so I reached out once again to Brigette, she gave me his number and we spoke and again and he reassured me that he had it under control and not to worry, everything would be fine. Fast forward to the day of the party, the guests we're to begin arriving at 4 o'clock. The bartender and wait staff should be here at least an hour before to prepare the bar and do the set up. At 3:45 I became very concerned because no one from Center Coast party helpers had showed up yet so again I reached out to her. She assured me that they would be showing up and that she had thought that they should be here at 4 o'clock and not 3 o'clock which makes no sense at all, I was very clear when the guests were arriving, finally at 4:05 PM two bartenders showed up and two waitstaff. The bartender that I had spoken to was a no-show, so there would be no signature For my party . I called Bridget right away and She was at another party and her bartender William was with her. He was a no-show for my party with the juice. I told her that he promised that he would be here with the juice. She said she had communicated to me that he was not coming and he was going to another event which was a complete lie. There was no communication at all, unless I have been reaching out to them. I was to have two signature cocktails at my husbands birthday party and I had none. Her bartenders were lovely and they did a great job. However, they did take my lime and lemon squeezer with them when they packed up so I had to go purchase those again for my home, I do not recommend hiring Bridget and her company for any of your gatherings unless you want to have a disaster on your hands! read more

Couldn't speak more highly of Brigitte and her whole team in making our wedding in Big Sur a success! It was challenging to find vendors to come out to Big Sur and they were willing to drive 2.5 hours each way and were very reasonable in pricing. They helped set up our reception and were very thorough in cleaning up after. The wait staff was so kind and were very attentive to our guests. Our bartender William won over our guests and was also very helpful from the beginning to the end. In some cases services at Central Coast Party Helpers were satisfactory, in other ways, not even close. Instead of one star, we marked 2 since things were smooth during the day for us. My wife and I's reception went smoothly, however we heard from many guests of issues. Some Staff did not have close to a professional appearance. MANY guests plates were retrieved before they finished eating (it's called look out the window to see photos going on). Even though proper hours were discussed, we were invoiced incorrectly. Owner made a stink about applying discount we had already received for additional hours. She did apply the discount. Owner asked for balance that night by interrupting a conversation with family. Thought that should be better "coordinated." We had 60 bottles of wine ready for 120 adult guests (not counting champagne), of which barely anyone had wine. We realized the next day that there were ZERO bottles leftover. At the end of the night around 9:30PM, my wife went to the back kitchen and saw the staff handling 7 bottles of wine. She graciously offered that they take a few bottles. However...we were informed by our caterer that he saw one of Central Coast Party Helper's staff taking at least 4 bottles of wine to their car earlier in the day! UNACCEPTABLE. This is THEFT. Our trust was violated. The owner of the company refused to take responsibility. Her conversations with my wife bordered the edge of silliness. The owner attempted to reconcile the situation. She offered to return the four bottles of wine we gave her, and then cut us a check for the four bottles our caterer saw be stolen ($120). (NOTE: We felt this inadequate for having our trust violated and being stolen from, but we were exhausted-We also requested that we be compensated for leftover time as her staff left before 10PM with the agreement being 10:30PM - We were not granted that request). My wife and I put a stop payment on the $930 check we wrote, with the understanding we would release it once she dropped off the check for $120 at the home of my wife's family. Soon, she reaches out that she "found" 2 more wine bottles. She returned those and without notice, changed our refund amount from $120 to $60. Unbelievable. She dropped the wine and check on my wife's family's doorstep (rather than knock & deliver personally). We called to discuss the changed refund. My wife got frustrated and asked to discuss it later. Moments later, the owner called/text my wife saying that leaving a bad review online would be unfair (and threatened to "rebuttal" a negative review), and they put out small fires for us, all the same stuff we went in circles with earlier. The owner was texting my wife long messages that she wanted her happy, then re-argued. Unprofessional behavior. Conversations should be by phone call, or email for archival purposes. The owner offered to still send the remaining $60 of the agreed refund, and my wife told her to go ahead and send it. That check was received a week later. The owner informed us (repeatedly) about fixing small fires for us (surprise lack of appetizer silverware and lack of coffee). We appreciate that, as from our perspective things went smoothly (however I don't find "expected" things to be "special"). Earlier in the week, my wife told the owner that we would provide 40 pounds of ice in case the venue's ice machine couldn't keep up. My wife and I forgot, so the owner and her team took care of that. On our invoice she billed us for 80 pounds, and repeatedly told us all of it was necessary. The manager of the venue told us that was nowhere near the case. We were also informed the venue's recycling bin was nowhere near as full as it should have been (regarding the wine/bottles). Learning that we were stolen from, and behavior from the owner are cause for great concern. It was difficult watching my wife deal with the situation, (being able to hear the phone conversations). I am shocked. I expect a small local business to at the very least, take responsibility for the actions of their staff, let alone offer better resolutions. A business owner is accountable for the actions of their staff, and completely ignoring an issue like THEFT is inexcusable. We are unable to recommend Central Coast Party Helpers. I hope this review is helps others that may come across it. We see that they do get primarily good reviews, and like we said the day of was very smooth for us. We truly hope our experience is out of the norm, and that the company will take this opportunity to clean up and improve. Thank you for taking the time to read our experience. (PS: On August 27th, a month after our wedding, we still received a marketing email from them. We were stunned they didn't have the presence of mind to remove our information from their marketing list considering our lack of satisfaction with their services).
