Our guests continue to say it was the best wedding food they have ever had. We had short rib, chicken, salmon, carrots, potatoes, salad and great appetizers. The staff were extremely friendly to all the guests and to us. The entire environment between the food and the staff helped provide an incredible experience. We also booked their venue at Oak & Vine Vineyard Estates which made it an even more smooth wedding weekend. However, things were not as perfect going into the wedding weekend. Long story short, prior to the wedding day I anticipated giving a 2 or 3 star review but due to the outstanding wedding day service I have given a 5 at hopes that my experience before hand was not the normal. High level issues included extremely poor and unprofessional communication over 11+ months, many false promises made, having to pry information from the team, no contract or detailed proposal of expectations, and generally making my wife and I feel in the wrong when asking simple questions. We planned our entire wedding ourselves from Tennessee and we only had two times that we were stressed. One was when deciding who not to invite and then the 11 months working with Oak & Vine catering before my month of coordinator took over after I was nearing my breaking point. I truly hope our experience was rare or a one off. If that's the case I highly recommend this catering company purely because how good the food and the people were on the wedding day. But be cautious. Overall, everyone I spoke to are good people that put together a great event but who possibly could benefit from a business assistant.

The top 3 reasons why I would hire TVC for catering any event is: communication, flavor, and experience. Sara is a rockstar and we would not have had such a spectacular wedding if it wasn't for her. She goes out of her way to keep the couple informed, responds almost immediately to any and all questions/requests, and is just a wonderful person to be around! From quoting to executing the onsite catering, she is there every step of the way and knows all the important details. For our wedding we selected the below items: Passed apps: ahi poke tacos, mini arancini balls with tomato bisque, and pulled pork cornbread cakes. Given that we were having an outdoor wedding in November, we wanted to have something warm for our guests. Sara provided the creative idea to mix their fabulous arancini balls with a warm soup. It was a huge hit! Salad: Pear salad fit the fall theme perfectly! Mains: Syrah braised short rib and chicken piccata. Both were delicious (short rib was more popular) and we decided to serve family style instead of plated or buffet. This was a great option for us as our guests were able to converse and pass plates around. Food came out hot, which was a critical care about for us! Sides: Potato leek gratin and charred broccolini. The gratin is one of the best potato dishes I've ever tasted. I seriously wish I had this recipe! If I were to change one item, it would have been to sub in something more popular for the charred broccolini. In addition to the great food, TVC provided pie cutting, a water station, and tableside wine services. However, once we were knee deep into planning, we had to put frosé on the backburner to prioritize everything else. About half a year before our wedding, this was still something the two of us wanted so we found Monterey Margarita Company. From the initial interaction, Gary was responsive, transparent, and helpful. Within an hour of our inquiry, Gary sent back a response giving us an estimate. In order to help us stay within budget, Gary gave us ideas and was willing to waive some fees to help us out. That says a lot about the business! He was also helpful in navigating how many bottles of Rosé to buy and accommodated for our non-drinkers as well! From that point on, Gary would check in with us until the week of the wedding. Besides being responsive, Gary always expressed enthusiasm for our wedding which in return made us even more excited. On the day of the wedding, Gary and Carmen stopped by and checked in on us before leaving us with their two wonderful attendants. They made sure that my husband and I got to try the first taste of their frosé. Delicious couldn't even begin to describe how great it tasted! On one of the most chaotic days of our lives, it felt so good to be able to relax and have a sip of the frosé. It's an understatement to say that the frosé was the highlight of the reception. All our guests enjoyed the frosé so much and could not stop raving about how great it tasted.
