After having brought my nephew into this office to have his skin issue looked at by a doctor the clinic turned us away after having said that it would be 150$ for the visit due to us not having current insurance. We had to leave due to not having the money at the moment. I simply feel that they should have seen the 5 year old boy to help him and just sent us a bill that we would soon pay. read more

We just started going here when our daughter was born in February 2023. We see Dr. Trout and love her honesty and stress free attitude. She came to Twin Cities Hospital after our baby was born to do a first time check up. They also have an over the phone nurse if you call in and have questions but don't necessarily need to be seen which is super helpful. read more

My 3 daughters see Dr. Battle who is the best Pediatrician ever! She is always very informative, friendly, goes above and beyond and makes the kids feel very comfortable and at ease. Dr. Battle splits her time between the Templeton and SLO office. She's amazing and glad she's our Pediatrician! read more

I give two stars because I have taken my three boys here since they were little... However, I am not one to yelp, but Brittany with the brown hair is the rudest person I have ever dealt with in the office and made me feel like a horrible mother. I'm not saying don't take your children here because they will receive good care as my kids have for years .. she must be new I've never seen her before, but request a different assistant when having to visit unless you want to leave the office with anxiety about your parenting choices. read more

Utterly unbelievable that this place continues to pass its self off as a health care provider! After several months of Central Coast Pediatrics dropping the ball and letting down my 6 six year old son as he continues to seek competent and capable medical care for his severe hearing loss, they have once again screwed up his required referral for a ENT evaluation before he can get hearing aides. We were notified by the ENT that they received a referral from CCP that stipulated my son needed to be seen for a "cough"....even though every single time we've sadly had to deal with staff at CCP they were repeatedly informed that our son's need was related to his hearing loss!!!! Do NOT suffer these incompetents if you can AVOID Central Coast Pediatrics, they don't care and they don't help. read more

I brought my daughter here for her 5 year/pre-kindergarten well-child visit and shots. We recently moved to the central coast, and weren't established with a general practitioner in the area yet, so I did some research and decided to try Central Coast Pediatrics. I'm very happy with my decision. The office is very easy to find in a nice medical complex past Twin Cities hospital. There's a ton of parking, and the office and complex itself are very clean. Inside there's a large waiting room with toys and a tv playing children's movies. The exam rooms are very neat and clean with differing decor in each room. (The decor could be a little more kid appropriate, but it still works.) We didn't have to wait long in the waiting room nor the exam room, which is always a plus, especially with a small child. The office also has an online patient portal to request appointments, ask questions, pull up records, etc. which is a nice option to have available. Although there's 5+ doctors who practice here, we saw nurse practitioner Katie (we needed an appointment asap and were unable to get in as quickly as we needed with one the MDs) and she seemed very knowledgable and had a very sweet demeanor. My daughter was a little apprehensive to see a new practitioner, and Katie made her feel very at ease. I didn't catch the name of the girl that did my daughter's vaccinations (or maybe I just don't remember it), but she was very nice as well, and brought my daughter a few little "prizes" after her shots which she really enjoyed. Overall a great experience. We'll be going back if my daughter needs medical care and definitely for her next well-child visit. read more

Tamara Battle This is a Dr that accepts government funded insurance, but will not prescribe medication for her patients that are covered by their insurance. Having seen her, knowing that our son was teething and having a very difficult time with the pain, she refuses to prescribe Tylenol. Initially, she said it wasn't medically necessary. Upon asking her how prescribing Tylenol for a teething baby isn't medically necessary, her response is: you can buy it over the counter. I ask anyone reading this, what does that have to do with it being medically necessary? I asked her, and what if we can't afford to buy it over the counter? We're on low income state funded insurance because we can't afford it. We're barely making it financially, and we know our insurance pays for the medication..because we are low income. She expects us to make an ER visit to get his medication? She said under no circumstance will she write a prescription for the medication, because it's over the counter. I told her our baby sitter wants a solution like we got from the ER, to remove any possibility of forgetting to shake it before dispensing..is that not a good reason? They also want a Dr label to ensure that they are correctly dosing him, as per doctor's orders..which makes sense. With all of the recent findings of Tylenol overdosing going on in America, is she not wanting to be liable for what she's telling us to give our son? That's the only logical reason that I can come up with, for why this Dr refuses to accommodate us in any way shape or form. No other suggestion, recommendation, or alternative medicine that she would prescribe for him to help him. What am I to assume, that if he needed another medicine that wasn't covered by his insurance, that she would just tell us to pay out of pocket? Tell us to go buy better insurance? This "doctor" is definitely not fulfilling her hippocratic oath, because she operates in anything but an ethical manner. If you want to roll the dice that this "doctor" will work in your child's best interests, I wish you good luck..but I don't recommend it. We played, and we lost. Her last words, were that we're free to find a new Dr. How pleasant. Unbelievably horrible experience. read more

My son has been seeing Dr. Battle since birth and I must say, she has been great! She came to slo to see him the day after he was born. He's been seeing her ever since. She's been very knowledgeable and professional and very easy to communicate his needs to, as well. He had gastrointestinal issues from a very young age and she referred him to a specialist at cottage hospital. She has met every need and always makes sure all of my questions get answered. I've been taking my kids to Dr. Rowland at Central Coast Pathology since they were born. We usually go to their San Luis Obispo location, but this was my first time going to the Templeton location. I can't say more amazing things about him, we've been very happy with Dr. Rowland. He sincerely cares for his patients and takes the time with you, never making you feel like he's rushing you in and out. My boys are now 15 & 18, I wish they could still continue to see him even to their adult years!! As far as the office goes, in Templeton, its was easy to find, clean, pleasant, and staff was friendly. read more

We have been taking our children to this office for over one year. All of our visits have been fine unit today. My child has been battling an ear infection for almost 3 months. She has been put on multiple meds but the infection continues to not heal. The doctor we dealt with today (Dr. Battle) refused to give us the referral although the previous doctor stated she would need a specialist if the last treatment didn't work. After making a complaint to my insurance provider the office stated they never denied us a referral and that the referral was being processed. The fact that they lied about the referral and refused to make one is enraging! I am now looking for a new office for my children. read more

I am not one to give out reviews, although after reading some of the stupid reviews people have put on here I feel I should! I have twins, one of whom has Down Syndrome. Dr Dale Rowland is our doctor and has been for the last 12 years. I feel that the people who work in this office give the best care that they can to the children and parents they see. I have had my children in to see many of the other doctors in the office and every one of them have given my children excellent care! The people who write in to complain about "it's just one thing" are ridiculous! Can you imagine if every person who walked in had them do "just one thing" extra? They would never get to every child who had an appointment that day or even that week! Make an appointment just like everyone else, what makes you so special?!? These are busy doctors trying to help everyone they can THAT day! So if you are reading the negative posts, remember... if it was your child that got bumped for their appointment because the doctors were busy accommodating all the people who thought their needs were more important then yours... you would be pretty pissed off! At that point it would not be the doctors fault, but you would sure blame them instead of the selfish people who wanted "just one thing" ! Kudos to the entire office for having to put up with negative, selfish people! I say again... the office staff and doctors at this office are amazing! This review was written on 1-16-18 when the flu was categorized as an epidemic. I called to get my child a flu shot. Just a shot no appt or anything else. They said the earliest appointment is 2-6-18. All I can say is wow this is the most irresponsible and dumbfounding thing I have ever heard. Just talked to a friend who's son got an appointment the same day for a 2 year old check up. I guess check-ups are more important than protecting against an epidemic flu?? read more

Took my son in to get looked at for a really bad cough he has. Dr. Battle is the one who looked at him. During our visit she seemed to be in a very big hurry to get us out, she looked at him for maybe 5 minutes. She told me it was just cold season and it will go away. I decided to take him to a new Dr. for a second opinion, turns out he has a bad ear infection and pneumonia. Won't be returning to CCP. read more

I have been taking my daughter to Dr. Battle for many years. The office staff are excellent, friendly and very helpful. Dr. Battle has always been professional and caring. She has also been seen my Dr. Coryell and Dr. Bowland. Their manner with my daughter has always been excellent and puts a shy girl at ease. Dealing with all the issues we have I feel fortunate that we have had such an excellent office to take our daughter to. read more
