My friend found My Taxi LLC and we made arrangements with them to meet us at the station. Everyone at My Taxi was extremely nice. They were accommodating, prompt and very helpful. Their cars are clean, super comfortable and well maintained. While on the train, my cell connection dropped as we were confirming pickup time. My Taxi immediately called me back, before I was able to reach them! All in all, it was a wonderful experience. I am grateful to My Taxi for making the last part of our trip so pleasant. I won't hesitate to call them again when I travel to New Haven, Meriden or the surrounding area.

That's over a 35% increase from the quoted price by the dispatche. When I questioned the vast varianc, he told me he had already charged my credit card the increased price & that left me with no recourse but to deny the increased charge thru my credit card company. Lo and behold, that of course meant midnight on Thursday night/Friday *morning* ... OOPS. The driver was looking for me that Thursday night, calling and texting me from the pickup location and wondering where I was. I slept through his calls and felt awful about the whole mix-up. When I called to explain first thing in the morning, they didn't hesitate to fix the reservation. In addition, I'd texted the driver to apologize for the miscommunication, and he was *amazingly* gracious. He totally understood and gave me his name and driver number in case we ever needed them again in the future. I just have to commend these folks highly on running their business fabulously and for hiring great employees. I would absolutely recommend them!

The first booking I ever made with Uber, went well. I reserved an Uber several days in advance of a…read moreride to the airport - which is 27/miles from my home (a 31/min ride). The cost was reasonable $36.79 for a 4:30AM pickup on a Thursday. I tipped my driver 25%. My second Uber booking was ultimately a FAILURE. This was my return trip from the airport to my home, two days later on Saturday evening. Landing at 9:30/PM, retrieving baggage and contacting Uber at 10:00/PM. The least expensive Uber was $136.00 and the prices went up according to vehicle. That is "quadruple" what I paid two days earlier. This fee is/was, nothing but a scam and a ripoff. Totally taking advantage of weary travelers who want to get home. I would not pay the fee. I did not book an Uber. I took a taxi for $77.00 which is also expensive - but I had little choice, I paid. I will find other alternatives in the future, like hiring a neighbor.
