Then they got her in Monday morning and Dr Johnson was arrogant and said anytime u get tooth pulled and you have a hole, it hurts. Well DUH, but this was a worse pain than normal. He said it was hard to tell if dry socket. But he made her feel dumb. She hadnt been to dentist in a long time and now is even debating going to another bc of this. The dr. Treated it as incorrect assumptions of someone who was ignorant in simple teeth hygiene. Later assuming I wouldn't be able to afford treatment decided to refer me to a more affordable office. Meanwhile I was lucky because he was going to teach me how to properly care for my teeth. While poking around my abscessed teeth, trying to get my gums to bleed. Because that's what happens when you don't brush your gums will bleed. It's common knowledge, yet he was shocked mine didnt. I have abscessed teeth you should t even be poking at it. He treated me like a fool and didnt even want to subscribe antibiotics which I will need to being down the infection before getting anything worked on. I felt humiliated , and my anxiety was throught the roof.

I know, this many years later ... however, I don't live in Missouri, so I made the appointments (needed) to about two weeks in advance after explaining the situation to the receptionist. She was so helpful and understanding. Both appointments were quick and easy. First was impressions and the second was my fitting. They worked out the few problems with the new retainer (mild reshaping to fit better) and I've had no problems or complaints since!

I spent a few minutes looking over the cost of the procedure before agreeing to it, and I didn't know until I turned around that I had a whole huddle of techs staring at me waiting. This wouldn't have been an issue if they would've been friendly about it and gave me reassurance. It seemed like they wanted me to just sign the papers and get it over with. People need to understand root canals are expensive procedures and not everyone has the funds to dish out. Looking at your paperwork and going over the costs is okay and completely reasonable. It shouldn't be treated as a waste of time or an inconvenience.

Also my insurance only covers braces once in a lifetime. Every time we were in the office it just seemed like an assembly line. My son is going to need braces, but I will not be going back to Wilson Orthodontics. I would not recommend them either.
