Great, chill, service and sales people. Used Jake, professional and easy to work with. I'm a person who's going to ask alls sorts of questions people may never have heard before. I like detail and am generally well thought out. And I don't jump into things without doing my homework, taking my time. Jake was a natural fit and worlds better than the 2 other provider/distributers that I'd taken off of my list. I wanted the ability to use voice control with the fireplace and another location either lied or were misinformed when they told me that 'nobody carries that, think about how unsafe that would be.' Of course I didn't believe that and hit the web to see that Heat n' Glow DOES have that wi-fi/voice feature as an option. Of course you need the infrastructure which I already did since most of my lights, my thermostat already were and I used ECHO throughout my home. This I knew was going to be special.... The showroom is vast and they offer all sorts of other things here. The fireplace displays were helpful showing a range of models and features with lots of interior and front design options. The efficiency of the models and with other manufacturers was about the same, 73%. Keep in mind that an OPEN, wood burning fireplace is 80-90% INEFFICIENT. Oh, it's gonna be special... The 3K rebate only applies to one fireplace. My home has two large fireplaces and I decided to do the one in the room that get's used more. Makes sense, eh? The size of what I have in the house allowed me to get their largest insert offering the most viewable area. Special... Having named my home/property, "Moon Base Alpha" it was not surprise that I settled on the Cosmos 35" insert with the LEAST fancy, most modern front available. I'd jumped into reconfiguring the fireplace, modifying the brick work, refacing the structure myself and bought the tools to accomplish this task. While working on the hearth, I detected a gas leak in the shut off valve and bought a smaller Makita jackhammer to get to it. I mention this because IF you have an older home, YOU should check the valve as over time, they will leak... The day arrive when the install team consisting of 2 guys arrived. I found them to be easy to work with and detailed. I installed a custom, thick stainless steel chimney chase that I had manufactured and used Rock Wool under the chase to further lock out the elements. Had to be, special... The unit was installed and up and running in a couple of hours. I was left to deal with the 'voice control' set up which requires a application, tapping into your Amazon Echo account, linking up etc. For me, this was easy. 'cause I'm special... Needless to say, this upgrade did a lot for the 'base.' It looked so much better, was practical and tightened up the air flowing in and out of the open chimney. A big energy pig. Having the ability to wake up in the morning and tell the fireplace to start and walking out into a warm room after a shower is fantastic. Voice control is nothing less than sublime. And, to get a nice big 3k check back was pretty hard not to be grateful for. Prior to this upgrade, I would NEVER have used this fireplace. Now I'm using it all the time. And rather than heating up the whole base, 2350 sq ft, I'm just heating the large kitchen/second office area using a fraction of what I'd been forced to spend to heat the base earlier. Was, cha-ching, special.... I'm grateful for the resources to complete the just over 6k project, the skills to complete much of the work, the good people helping me to accomplish these goals and the enhancement of the base, the lower bills and the comfort. Life got better. Thank you Lord for this wonderful blessing, the remodel and the rebate! All good things come from you and I'm grateful! Went looking for a new oven. My daughter and I walked through the entire store looking at each and every oven they had. Not once was I asked if I need help. When I finally went and asked for help, the salesman was almost delighted that they wouldn't be able to retrofit my needs because I wanted an oven that was 2 inches bigger. I had an appointment set up for them to come and clean and service my gas fireplace. The appointment was from 8 am to noon. After waiting for 4 hours, no one showed up. I called and the office said the worker came and tried to call me but I didn't answer. Of course I would have answered because I waited at home for them to show. There was no record on my recent calls on my phone from them. The service agent said she would have the worker call me right away. Again, no response. I took the day off from work, so I was very disappointed in the response and lack of professionalism. You might try to find someone else if your plans include this company. read more

We told them we wanted to proceed and were told someone would be in touch from the install department to come out and take measurements... then nothing. Huge deserted showroom that's not user friendly whatsoever. The salesperson we dealt with was not really interested in cultivating any business. Very negative outlook towards availability of the products they sell. Everyone understands the supply shortages due to the Covid situations etc. However why is it that I was able to go on-line at Home Depot and order everything I needed...and it's all available? Quick to take your money but slow to deliver on their word. I spent $10k+ with these guys and I have to babysit them if I want anything to get done. Communication is key, and this place is terrible at it. Ordered a fireplace insert, specifically stated we want all black on the inside. When it came for installation, the brick was red. They failed to communicate that it would come like that and that a special paint had to be ordered. So ordered the paint, after 2 months from not hearing from them, we followed up ourselves and the paint was there for awhile now. After 2 months of not getting the rebate, apparently it wasn't communicated that paper work for a voucher had to be signed. So we'll have to wait another month for the rebate. My sister and brother got inserts from other places and had they rebate a week later. Will not do businesses with central distributing ever again. read more

Updating my 5 star review of this awesome company. The best reviews in my opinion are ones that cover how a firm handles problems. I'm Crazy BERNIE and Central Distributing is located 2 feet from my store. Literally almost attached to my building. Naturally when my 20 year old Viking frig bit the dust I went next door and after a few minutes bought a new 48" Kitchaid commercial frig. I dealt with Jackie and Matt who handled my purchase professionally and promptly. When the team came and delivered it they also did so professionally and thoroughly. Unfortunately the unit was defective and only worked for 5 minutes. Turns out there was a Freon leak in manufacturing and the unit had none when it was started up. Jackie quickly contacted the Kitchaid rep and got me a brand new unit and the crew came up today and removed the old new unit and installed the new new unit which works great! My hat goes off to Jackie and Matt and the entire installation team. I also want to thank the owner of Central Distributing for hiring such competent people! We finally decided to replace our wood burning insert after many years of enjoyment but the increasing cost of wood, burning restrictions, cleaning up ashes and occasionally having an ember pop and land on the carpet help make the decision to switch it out. We then took advantage of the San Joaquin Valley Air District 'clean burn' offer to remove our insert in favor of a gas burning insert. We shopped around at the various companies on their list of approved dealers. All the companies seemed nice and each had various brands of inserts for sale. After doing more research and asking around I heard Central Distributing mentioned more than once. Upon arriving at Central Distributing at 4250 W. Shaw Ave in Fresno we were graciously greeted by the 'front desk' assistants. I explained what we were there for and we were then met by a gentleman name Jake Holcomb. He introduced himself, looked you in the eye, spoke slowly (something us Senior Citizens appreciate), he took his time explaining what gas inserts they had to offer. He showed us the various models of the Heat n' Glo gas inserts. I did research and it was the brand that offered all the features we desired and fortunately Central Distributing carries all their models. Jake thoroughly explained the Air Districts 'clean burn' program and the complete process from purchase, removal of your old insert, installation, then refund from the Air District upon completion. Jake was such a pleasure to work with and he made sure each step in the process was done correctly. We were very comfortable knowing that and were very glad that we stopped and bought our Heat n' Glo from Central Distributing. I am recommending Jake Holcomb and Central Distributing to our friends who are now interested in doing what we did. We just received our $3000 refund from San Joaquin Valley Air District. Nice showroom although comparison shopping for appliances would be easier if they were all grouped together. Customer service is definitely better than the big box stores. I believe they do price match as well. The low stars are for the terrible installation. It took them all afternoon to install our dishwasher and the bottom face plate wasn't secured properly. read more

On October 16, 2021 we purchased a Dacor Refrigerator, Range, Range Hood, Microwave drawer and Dishwasher from Central Distributing in Fresno. I paid 60% down plus the delivery charges and was told it would all be delivered in December except the microwave. They called and verified everything had been received except the microwave and scheduled delivery for January 6, 2022. I paid them the remaining balance at that time. The sales Rep called me the day before delivery and said they had given my range hood to someone else but they would have another one rush shipped and here by the end of January. The end of January I called because no one had called me and he assured me it would be in on Monday's truck and he had me scheduled for delivery February 8, 2022. On the 7th he called and informed me that it wasn't on the truck. I was livid at that point. I told him I didn't care what they had to do, I expected this to be made right immediately. As far as I am concerned I paid for this, it's my property and they stole it and gave it to someone else. After waiting TEN DAYS without as much as a phone call, I called and asked for the owner, who of course, was not available but they gave me a "manager" who claimed they were calling DAILY about it and it got lost in transit and they just tracked it down in Utah. I told her they needed to overnight it and she said they don't do that. I said I wanted a date it was going to be here. She said she would call right then and call me back. That was 2 hours ago and again, no phone call! I don't appreciate being lied to or taken advantage of. My next phone call will be to my attorney. Talk about bad faith and lack of ethics!!! read more

Central Distributing used to be an excellent company to work with. The service we received was terrible. We ordered double ovens. At first we received no information about a possible delivery date, we realize that there were delays due to COVID, but simply calling and keeping the customer informed would have been helpful. Then, when our ovens were delivered, one door was broken. Additionally, the installers did not know how to install the ovens as our house was built prior to 1996, when the code changed. They insisted that we keep the ovens and call the warranty service, even though the product was broken upon delivery. We absolutely refused to do this. So, we sent the ovens back, and they refused to take our calls and give us updates. Then, finally our ovens came in the second time. They gave us a delivery window of 4 hours. We stayed home from work the whole morning and never heard from them. We called ourselves, and were then told that we had to wait until 3-5 pm. Which was never communicated to us. If we had not called, we would have never known. We had to call to find out. Which means an entire day was wasted. Additionally, we called to speak to the manager and waited 15 minutes on hold and then were told that the manager was unavailable. read more

This guy named eric was extremely rude wouldnt give us the time of day and made the blonde woman that ended up helping us do everything. She was great, but they need to do some more training on customer service. The blonde woman asked eric to check us out and he snapped at her right in front of us. Very frustrated with this business. We bought a gas fireplace from them. They gave us a flyer and very little information. We had gas line installed but when they came out to install, the line wasn't in the right place--how would we know that-- so they left fireplace uninstalled. Now we have to wait another 2 weeks to get back on their installation route. Getting a call back is nearly impossible. If I had a do-over, I would not choose them. read more

My friend has the Yosemite MAG 3118 sink and I decided to purchase one, as well. I saw it online at several places (Lowe's, Home Depot) for $189, but no one carried it in-store and it would need to be shipped (albeit, for free). I found out that Central Distributing makes the Yosemite Home Decor line, so headed there. I was amazed to find that it was more than double the price and listed at $419. I asked if they price-matched, since everyone else was selling it for $189 (regular price). They would not......so I ordered it through Home Depot with free shipping. It was delivered within days. However, the ONLY thing in the box was the sink. It was missing the fastener screws and template. Since the return label included the Customer Service number for Central Distributing, I thought I'd call them direct. They told me that I had to go through Home Depot.....and RETURN the sink. Really? It would necessitate shipping a very large box back and forth in order to obtain a piece of paper and some screws that SHOULD have been placed in the box from the beginning and was an error on their part?? We're also talking about valuable time (shipping back and forth) when I need the parts for my install NOW. I was DEFINITELY NOT PLEASED read more
