I'll have to say, there was a miscommunication about Picture Perfect Lawn's availability and when I expected to receive a quote. After leaving a poor review for service as I had with about 80% of my other quotes for services, Alfredo sent me a quote by the next morning. I gave them a call to see availability and communicate more about the misunderstanding. It was a simple fix that didn't get blown out of proportion and was handled professionally. Alfredo is a nice man . We had to have a giant redwood removed as the roots were tearing up the sidewalk . We agreed on a price . He said three days . He wasn't there to supervise and hired it out to subcontractors who were very unfriendly and not easy to work with . At one point I had to go make sure they were removing the part if sidewalk that was sticking up due to roots . They were not going to remove it . They called Alfredo who called me saying that the amount of concrete needed was not in estimate . It was a fight to get it taken out . Everyday new people showed up and mostly stood around , leaving only one or two working . No Alfredo . I had to call him and say your guys aren't working . The job was supposed to be three days .It took five . On the last day Clovis inspectors came out and said Alfredo was supposed to pull a permit and never did .. The way they did the concrete was not ADA compliant . One inspector wanted it ripped up and redone .The stress this caused my husband and I was hard . It affected my health . Alfredo never got the permit , which could have been done on line . After the work was done , there was a huge area where the tree was removed and stump ground down . They threw one bag of sand , didn't even rake it . Alfredo was supposed to have new dirt put in the huge hole . Never happened. I would never ever hire Alfredo again . Ever . The stress. Trying to get out of doing what was in the contract and leaving a huge hole in the yard was unprofessional and unethical. Get your act together Alfredo . No stars for you . read more

I contacted this company and 3 others based solely on YELP reviews. I sent an inquiry on July 4th not expecting a response until the following workday. They responded the same day and had someone to our home on Monday to provide a quote. We accepted their proposal and they set a date to complete the job. They had excellent communication with us about the job, timeline, costs, and their arrival time. They completed the job in 1 day and not 2 as expected. They spent time to remove the old, dead grass, level the yard, repair sprinklers, and cleanup. Their work was done very well! This is the 3rd time we have had our backyard redone in 6 years. Worked with Freddie for years. They come twice a week to do my yard. The work is minimal they spend less than 10 minutes here twice a week, they don't trim trees they don't pick up what they mow if they break something they don't say anything. I pay 60/month. I needed sprinklers done and had told him I was going to be hiring someone to do that for me. He insisted that they do the sprinklers and that he could provide a better price and could be a better job. I agreed and told him I wanted them on a timer. He installed the sprinklers and they have never worked right. The first issue was that I didn't have a mounted timer as I had requested and was agreed upon. The timer he had put on there didn't work. He came several times and the sprinklers would not turn on the right time or right day. He then said oh it's a faulty timers and he replaced it with the same timer. He then said oh there must be a manufacturing issue with those timers as it still wants working. I had to call again and advise the sprinklers were not coming at right time and that I wanted a timer mounted to the house as I had previously asked for. I sent him two pictures of what I wanted. He went and bought one not what I had asked for but close and charged me for it. Told me it was setup and I should have no issues. They still didn't come on right so I reprogrammed everything to get it to work. The next week while they did the lawn they ran over the sprinkler heads and knocked them off so he came and put them back on. Another week of sprinklers not working right. When they did mount the timer it's mounted crooked to the back of my house with a cord running in the dirt all the way around to the side of my house. At this point he tells me oh we are raising our price for the lawn maintenance it's fine if you don't want to keep going with us just let me know. I advised that I would not be retaining them at the higher price. I notified him of this on 03/25/22. My sprinklers still do not work. I sent him a picture showing there is no water pressure and some of them don't even pop up. I contacted him about this and he said well sorry you fired me have your new Gardner fix it, These sprinklers are less than two months old and have never not even one week of watering worked right. If you expect a company to guarantee the work they do for you then do not call this company. Sprinklers installed 01/17/22. I had to contact him 01/18/22, 02/10/22, 02/06/22, 02/08/22, 02/09/22, 02/13/22, 02/15/22, 03/01/22, 03/02/22, 03/21/22, 03/23/22, 03/24/22 and today 03/28/22 since they were not working right. And now because I'm not having him do my lawn he is refusing to fix the shoddy work they did for the sprinklers. Alfredo Garzon - Freddie Garzon shows up with trucks that say picture perfect lawn. So if you are subletting work to him that's your business but it's your business name on that truck. You should be prepared to get reviews when they do subpar work. Note: this review only covers my experience in seeking an estimate. No work was completed. I reached out to Picture Perfect for an estimate on a front and/or backyard remodel, and Reyna came out to review the work. She was very friendly and professional and seemed to have a great depth of knowledge for landscaping. We left the meeting really hoping PP would be reasonably affordable since it was a pleasure working with Reyna. She said she would provide an estimate within the next two days. I ended up having to reach out to her again a week later to check on the estimate, and she said they were still waiting on pricing for materials. She then sent estimates about 90 minutes later, one of which was incomplete because she admittedly forgot to include a part of the job. So it may have been that they were waiting on information, but that seemed unlikely since the estimates were incomplete anyway. Reyna said she would send an updated estimate with the forgotten part. After two days of hearing nothing again, we decided to move forward with another company. I informed Reyna that we made that decision, and within 20 minutes we received the updated estimates. We honestly would have liked to work with Picture Perfect for our project, but the lapses in communication made us concerned that our experience during the project would be no different. I called the owner and he came to give us an estimate. Everything was fast and easy at first. Job was simple: taking out old trees and planting some new ones plus putting river rocks on the ground. They did a good job cleaning up my yard and putting the rocks on but when it came to planting, the guy was in big hurry and seemed damaging a lot of roots. As the results, half of my trees died within 2 weeks. Another problem is that we had him put on a gate between my 2 houses. He said he could do it and charged me quiet a bit money for that. However, the gate they put in couldnt be any worse. There was a big gap between the door and the fence. I couldnt open and close it easily because the 2 wings are uneven. To make it worse, after just 1 month, everything start to fall apart so we didnt dare to open/close the gate anymore. We called Alfredo and he told us he would come to fix it but then he disappeared and stopped responding to my txts nor calls. His crew could do better by picking up their cigarette butts, empty drinks and scattered nails. I have dogs and every time I let my boys out I had to pick up debris every time. There were damages done to the irrigation lines, fence picket and cracked tiles but were replaced accordingly. Warning for gate installation through Vulcan's Welding. I did not appreciate how I was given an estimated time and then it not follow through. I have a pool therefore a properly installed gate is of utmost important. I love working with Alfredo and his team! They did an amazing job on my backyard. I'm very low maintenance so paving my yard was a must! The synthetic grass looked nice but my neighbor is a cat lady and her cats would jump the fence to do their business right on it, the smell of cat urine made my whole backyard stink. Now that everything has been cleaned up and paved the cats don't come around. Alfredo was so easy going and all communication lines were open. He was always a phone call or text away. Despite hours spent walking our yards and talking about what we potentially wanted done, we then decided on what we wanted and walked our yards yet again, finalizing what needed to be done. He sent over the contracts based on the measurements he did based on what we said we wanted and we signed them. We gave him a deposit as he requested. He tells us when he's available and how long it will take. Turns out Alfredo measured incorrectly and didn't know it until after they had dug out my backyard. Then he told me that I would have to foot the bill for his mistake. I had no grass, no sprinklers, nothing ....just a backyard full of dirt and he tells me this. I told him that I refused to pay for his mistake and he told me that he would pack up and leave. He then offered to compromise with me, as if me paying more money to him for a mistake he made is fair, and tells me I only have to pay half of the remaining cost in order to get all the grass in my backyard that I wanted. I called him out on it and he could have cared less. He charged the client for HIS mistake. I do NOT recommend using this company. In response to Alfredo's comment ...you don't think it's wrong to charge me extra money for your choice to not print a 2-D or 3-D design and your error in measurement? Why would you start a job that you were not sure of what the plan was? That sounds ridiculous. As for affecting YOUR family....you screwed us over. We just told how it went. The job was not immaculate- I had to insist you come back and clean up the clumps of dirt you left all over the lawn when you came to level out the low parts of the grass. All your employee did was use a yard blower to blow the chunks of dirt and dirt clods further across the grass. read more

As spring has kicked into gear, my irrigation system was not ready for the up coming weather. Most lawn service companies are running crazy trying to take care of their current clients. So it was very difficult to get someone to come out to see a new client. I received a return call and again I was being told how busy their were but I was told I will make time for you. "If I can come see you after our current job, I will see what we can do." I was amazed that he would come out of his way to see a new client when he has more work than he can do in normal business hours. He told me that he could complete the work on Saturday. Again amazed. They showed up on time and Freddy was great. I asked a lot questions and he took the time to make sure that I was comfortable with the work that he was doing. Very trustworthy!
