I had purchased some really good tires from Sam's Club. Suddenly, the air started coming out of one…read moreof the tires after four months of use they told me I might need a new rim or to have a repaired because they could not find the problem with the tire, but they said because I rode on it while it was flat two houses down the road to fill it up that I had damaged the side walls and the tire needed to be replaced. My mechanic recommended calling the rim doctor. Jose met me took the tire in very nice man and Mark was extremely nice as well. They checked the tire for leaks as Sam's club put it back on the rim and in the back of my van for me... So they checked the rim and they said we find no leaks no problem and I said well why did I lose pressure and then after filling it the next day the tire was completely flat? He said well if you want we can take the tire off and see if there's something wrong inside the rim and I said yes please. They took it off and showed me that there was no damage to the rim where the seal is made that it was in perfect condition, they cleaned off some of the excess old sealant. And then also said I don't know why they said the side walls are damaged on this this tire looks brand new and showed me the tire and explained everything to me. This means a lot because I'm a woman and many of these men that work in the Auto Repair treat me like I'm an idiot like I know nothing which is not true. I really appreciated the respect and time that Mark and Jose showed me and how they took me and showed me firsthand the tire and the rim and even recommended going to a different shop to have them do a dunk test on the tire which I did. I highly recommend this shop! It's rare to find such integrity and kindness these days.

Work was done and, let's just say, my expectations were clearly not met. Even from afar, the rim was noticeably not better; while before you could not really tell the scratch unless very close, the paint mismatch was now very apparent. Owner was argumentative and abrasive, although his son offered to charge half of the original estimate, which I declined and paid the full amount. What seemed lost on the owner was that the work was not what I expected. Could have/should have just left the rim as is or purchased a new rim for not much more, but lesson learned. My advice: know exactly what you're getting and don't have high expectations.

They also have written on their estimates: "Lifetime warranty on leaks/7 year labor/20-50 year manufacturers warranty." Their price to replace ~30 feet of gutters was reasonable and they were very friendly. After several years my gutters began to leak at the seams (disappointing but not too big of a deal) but then water began to overflow at one of the sections, creating a waterfall type effect during hard rain. I called naively thinking they would come out and fill the leaks and fix the overflow issue, but they were reluctant to do anything. They first said the leak was because they weren't cleaned regularly (they are 30 feet high with no trees above them), but when they came out to look at the waterflow issue, they stated that what was needed were wider gutters to replace the narrower ones they had initially installed. The cost to "fix" this was ~9x what I had originally paid. When I pointed out the absurdity of this "remedy" to my solution, they did not follow up (they had been calling weekly to let me know about their financing option). Looking back, they were never interested in fixing anything, just angling for more business. In fact, the person they sent out was not even a repairman but the guy that gives estimates. I now have to replace gutters that they replaced-the rest of my gutters are all fine. Incredibly disappointing.

While this shop does more commercial work (The owner was working on a project for Tampa International Airport at the time), they were able to accommodate my needs. They were able to extract the broken bolt and install a helicoil kit to put some threads back in. The work was excellent and the owner was really cool and overall a nice guy. He was jamming out to some Rush when I first showed up and I could tell right away that it would be a good experience. I highly recommend the shop for your machining needs, small or big.

I only discovered the truth recently when a tire puncture hit the inner barrel--the finish flaked off in thin, paper-like sheets of wet paint. Four independent professional wheel shops inspected them and all confirmed it is liquid paint, not powder coat. An acetone test confirmed it instantly--the black pigment melted right off onto a swab, which cured powder coat never does. ​When I called, staff insisted they wouldn't use black paint, and the owner, Freddie, initially claimed they were fully powder coated. However, Freddie admitted: "We used black paint, but a clear powder coat, which is the same thing." Liquid paint under a clear coat is not the same thing--it lacks the proper adhesion and durability of a true powder coat, which is why it's flaking off bare metal. When asked to make this right, Freddie refused unless I paid an extra $350 per wheel ($1,400 total). Be very careful expecting genuine powder coating here.
