FAILED TO HONOR WARRANTY! I had some gutters replaced and one of the reasons I went with A-1 was their website claim of "satisfaction guaranteed" (important note: not in writing). They also have written on their estimates: "Lifetime warranty on leaks/7 year labor/20-50 year manufacturers warranty." Their price to replace ~30 feet of gutters was reasonable and they were very friendly. After several years my gutters began to leak at the seams (disappointing but not too big of a deal) but then water began to overflow at one of the sections, creating a waterfall type effect during hard rain. I called naively thinking they would come out and fill the leaks and fix the overflow issue, but they were reluctant to do anything. They first said the leak was because they weren't cleaned regularly (they are 30 feet high with no trees above them), but when they came out to look at the waterflow issue, they stated that what was needed were wider gutters to replace the narrower ones they had initially installed. The cost to "fix" this was ~9x what I had originally paid. When I pointed out the absurdity of this "remedy" to my solution, they did not follow up (they had been calling weekly to let me know about their financing option). Looking back, they were never interested in fixing anything, just angling for more business. In fact, the person they sent out was not even a repairman but the guy that gives estimates. I now have to replace gutters that they replaced-the rest of my gutters are all fine. Incredibly disappointing. read more

I cannot recommend this company as much as I'd like to. The installers came back out to "fix" this downspout problem they created and told me there was nothing they could do except charge me to redo it and place the downspout in a different location on my house , so basically I have to pay money for their mistake and to correct it . Also the one installer wasn't very pleasant, like it was bothering him to talk to me for some reason ? (Even tho I bought them lunch ) I have several neighbors who have asked for the company name which I refuse to give because of the inferior workmanship of the install and I show them this downspout. I put gutters on my house cuz I want the water to disperse away from it, with this downspout in a heavy rain water gushes back up the open space and is deposited at my foundation which is exactly what I was trying to avert. So I am now looking for another company to rectify this problem and paying more money to do so . read more

Absolutely terrible. They contracted to do a job, then after a month when my house needed to go on the market, then said they couldn't do the job because it was unsafe. I wouldn't recommend this company. They canceled my appointment due to a hurricane, which I totally get. Said they would call to reschedule...never did. I reached out and rescheduled install and they said they would call the night before.....never did. Called to find out what time they would be here on the day of installation and they said I was the 2nd install and should be here around 12. At 2 I called them back to find out if they were going to show up and they said they would have the installers call me with their ETA......they never did and never showed up. So after taking a day off, it was a total waste of my day. I would find a company more dependable and customer service oriented. read more

I am rating this company poorly on communication and dependability. Looking for an estimate, I received a scheduling call the day before as expected. However, on my appointment day no one contacted me to cancel or reschedule. Granted it was not a great outdoor day. When I called to inquire, I was rescheduled for the next day and I waited. Techs shows up unannounced and did some work without ever talking to anyone. Who knows what they actually did (if anything). If you need gutters then this is the company I recommend. Their prices were very competitive and I like that they offer a better warranty compared to other companies I got quotes from. They offer a good number of color selections although I just went with the standard white. Every person I interacted with was very pleasant. When it came to the initial install I wasn't quite happy with the gutters that cut into the driveway. I can't remember what they called them (maybe wet to dry?) Anyway-- I called the company and they sent someone out to do another inspection and fixed the problem right away. I could critique them on their initial install but I place a heavier importantance on their service recovery and they delivered. read more

I needed the company to come back and complete the job they did initially. They installed partial home gutters at my request on my new home. I initially contacted them because I wanted valley shields installed on all areas where water was pouring off the roof. They installed valley shields in all but one area. I informed Sara (she has now quit and is no longer with the company) of the problem and asked to speak with the manager. Sara said she would have someone call me but I never heard from anyone even after I spoke to Sara several times over a 3 - 4 week span. I filed a BBB report and finally received a call from Amanda, the manager. Amanda informed me that they would come out and install the valley shield that they initially missed. She quoted me a price of $285 for the valley shield and adjoining gutter. I then informed Amanda that the initial price would have been $185 if the installation had been completed during the initial installation. Amanda then informed me that they would not discount the $285 that she quoted me. It was not my fault that the installers missed one of the valley shields but according to Amanda I would have to pay for their mistake. This is unheard of! She then transferred me to the scheduler to schedule the installers to come back out and install the valley shield. I explained to the scheduler and she agreed with me that yes it was A#1 Seamless Gutter Solutions fault but since they didn't know how far I lived from the business, I would have to pay the extra $100. I informed them that it was not fair nor was it a custom for the customer to pay the company's mistake. The scheduler then indicated that I only had partial gutters installed instead of whole home gutters and that 'most people' install whole home gutters. Oddly enough when I first spoke with the company, no one had a problem with me hiring them to do partial home gutters. They gladly accepted the job as well as my money. The scheduler then suggested that I call another company to complete the job. At this point I requested that the owner call me to discuss. At least a month has passed and I never heard back from the owner or anyone else at the company. Absolutely unbelievable! read more

Had to wait several months for them to finally come out and look at the gutters that they installed 6 years ago. The finish on the gutters started turning black 2 years ago and wouldn't come clean. Called A1, was told the manufacturer would be out to fix it, he came out, said he could clean them up and would get back to me, never did, called A1, was told by Sara (she has since quit) that they would just replace the gutters. Time lingered on....manufacturer winds up calling me asking to come out, told him Sara at A1 has taken care of the issue.....waited again, called A1 again, Sara has since quit, back to square one. Everything she told me is now null and void according to A1. They send the manufacturer out again, he couldn't fix the issue and turns around and tells A1 it's my fault the gutters went to hell. My house is washed every year. The gutters just kept getting worse. They weren't cleaned this year since I was TOLD they were coming out to inspect the issue. So basically, unless you want to replace your gutters every 5 years, I'd look elsewhere. read more

We've used A#1 now at three different homes. Every time we move, we call them out to install gutters for us. They are efficient with providing estimates and scheduling your work. Sometimes the wait can be 1-2 weeks because they stay very busy (to me that's a good sign). Their crew is knowledgeable, timely and very good with installations. They've provided us with traditional downspouts, sent downspouts into our rain barrels, and this time helped us to install rain chains. We highly recommend A#1! read more

They were on time for the initial sales appointment once we decided to hire them they got us on the schedule within 10 days and the job was completed within a few hours. The two gentleman that came to do the job were very professional and unbelievably quiet throughout installation. Everything got cleaned up and they were on their way. Update from 7/29/17: Owner Amanda tried hard to compensate for the damaged done by first four employees. The damage of drip edge and leakage corners can not be fixed unless it involves major repair. I was told this four employees were fired but some of those are owners relatives and they might get rehired again. I just hope the company will care their quality, customer service and reputation not to hire back again. We decided this incident as the lessons learned from our damage and accepted their offer for free leave cover installation by experienced vice president Trent itself. I wish A1 gutter would change their business goal on do it right the first time by taking time and listening customer request. Pro: life time warranty, Owner Amanda visited twice after the incident, tried the best to show how much she care and understand customer's frustrating and sympathized the damage done by her employees. Vice president Trent go after to fix the problems and quality caused by installers who rushed and not so much care in quality installation as they got paid by how many quitters the got done daily. Trent is honest and take his time explaining cutomers​ before his work and does excellent repairs. Con: had to take total 2 days off and three Saturday to complete and resolve for the problem caused by careless and violent behavior first installers. At least they are fired is I feel better so not seeing them again for warranty service. Comment: It was my luck that the leak caused by first unexperienced installer. I hope A#1 Gutter will learn the lessons too that to provide adequate Training and take vice president Trent advise on strict performance rating and teach them work as team and do it right the first time instead of telling cutomers not to worry , there is life time warranty. Thanks for Amanda for understanding and trying her best to make situation come around, She shows customer service skills and care about her finished product line like her home. I think Trent is the one holding quality finished product and fixing other people scew up on install. I would NOT recommend A1 Seamless gutters. First off the installer was fantastic and easy to work with and if not for him, we would have an unfinished job. He noticed the sales person did not quote the entire area and quoted the correct length and process to finish the job. The opportunity is the women at the office. They were defensive, said the installer should never have intervened, quoted me different numbers to finish the job when they weren't on site. It was a complete headache. When the installer returned later in the week to finish the job, he noticed the company still failed to write up the order correctly and required me to call the company again and they still charged me more. In the end it is very clear that the company is trying to pinch every dollar from customers and don't work together as a team. We used this company in the past, but will NEVER again in the future and will recommend to neighbors to use another company. Very disappointing experience. read more

UPDATE: After a great first experience with A#1, I had a terrible experience the second time. In particular, I requested, and was told, that Todd would do another installation for me. A different crew showed up and did a miserable job - the gutters were installed in a poor fashion, and they damaged the fascia on my house. After a botched repair attempt (by the same lead installer), matters were just as bad. It took several weeks for the company to get Todd to come by and repair the damage - he actually spent more time fixing the damage than it took the crew to do the (second) botched installation. If they guarantee Todd will do the work, then you should be in great hands ... but otherwise I would avoid this company. read more
