This is from the perspective of someone who was forced to go. My wife made me go to two classes with her, it was OK. They give you wine to drink while you're waiting for class to start, you're not really expected to drink during class. After class you sit down to eat what you cooked and more wine is available. For sure the food was good, it was cooked with pounds of butter, cream and egg yolks. I did learn a lot but I found it awkward that you share in the cooking: one person chops, one persons mixes, one person stirs, while most watch. I expected to have my own cooking station and get to do everything myself.

We had a small class which made it where we all got a hands-on experience. The food was excellent and so were the instructors.

Thanks CM cooking school manager Angie for ruining this experience before we could even try it.

The first time I ordered classes, I expected to see the discount listed as a separate line, so I was a bit confused by the amount charged.

This places is a hidden oasis of brunch goodness…read more My mom has been badgering me for years to try CSFW's brunch and I finally decided to make a reservation for us to have brunch as a belated Mother's day treat. As mentioned in the other reviews, the cost is $16.95 pp. When they seat you, you get a choice of three different entree's (i chose the seafood cake with Orzo, my mom chose the grilled pork chop with polenta) along with fresh made bread, homemade fabulous strawberry lemon marmalade, and flavored butters. In addition to that, you have access to the various food stations. They have a salad and soup station, an omelet station, a pasta station, and a dessert station. They provide you with basic beverages such as coffee, iced tea, orange juice - but you can also BYOB so making your own mimosas are definitely an option. I could go on an on about how wonderful my meal and experience was - i really cant say enough but here's a short version: My seafood cake was heavenly. it consisted of crab, shrimp, and cod. it was mostly seafood and didn't require along of binders. I was seriously disappointed that it was gone so quickly. Keep in mind, your entree is more of a small plate, however with all the other goodies at the stations you'll definitely leave stuffed. The soup i got was a corn chowder that was excellent. Of course, you cant go wrong with an omelet! it was fluffy and perfectly cooked. I passed on the pasta station because i was getting too full and I didn't want to miss out on dessert. I loved how all of the staff was eager to talk about the food, process, etc. Their service was impeccable and made our experience very memorable. They even had a guy there playing the acoustic guitar. If you love food and love being around people who enjoy discussing ingredients and techniques this place is for you. Heck, even if you just want to eat and chill this place is for you! Make sure you call ahead for a reservation. Also: i would consider this place more kid-tolerant than kid-friendly.

Yum! Great brunch experience!…read more There are a half dozen (or so) stations set up including made-to-order omelets, pancakes, salads, soups, pasta & desserts. You also get to order from a menu of seasonal entrees. All delicious. Brunch includes tea, coffee & juice for $16.95 pp. I dined with a group of girls and brought in a cooler with champagne & grapefruit juice, which I recommend doing. Service was excellent.

Please read this before considering this company:…read more I commissioned Cake Amore to create a custom cake for my boyfriend's 30th birthday - this cake was going to be the centerpiece of the party, and I put a lot of time and thought into this. I met with the cake consultant, who I assumed was the creator; they immediately whipped out the stacks of books that contained mountains of beautifully made cakes, which put me immediately at ease that they could make a great cake. Boy, was I wrong. I gave them more than two weeks to create my cake, which I paid a lot of money for (upfront). The day came for me to pick it up and it looked like a child had put this cake together. I provided color photos and more than enough information to them. The cake was supposed to feed 25 to 30 people, it didn't look like it. To be fair, the owner did offer to give me more cake if I wanted, but I continued to try to construe to them that the quantity was not my foremost concern, it was the lack of quality and professionalism of the cake. Needless to say, I left without a cake, but a full refund, so I do say thank you to the owner for honoring that.

When we went to meet with them the owner was late to our appointment. I showed her a picture from a magazine of a 2 tiered cake in white icing with candied oranges around the edges, before I could even tell her what I liked about the cake she interrupted me by saying that candied fruit is way too expensive and time consuming and she didn't want to do it. Once I explained that I just liked the look of it she suggested doing the scallops another way and it turned out great. She was very blunt, almost to rude, when we were talking. I mentioned to my mom as the owner walked away that I thought it was funny that I couldn't find any redheaded cake toppers on line and she whirled around to tell me that no one makes those and its extra if I want her to paint a blonde one red. While we were there they kept trying to convince us that we needed to have a groom's cake even though we explained many times that we had a small party and did not want a second cake. When the cake arrived at the ceremony it was a delicious lemon cake that looked great. Although they forgot to bring the topper we discussed at the store but I was not charged for it. The cake looked wonderful and tasted great and that is really more important than how polite she was while we ordered. the price ended up being pretty reasonable as well.
