I was quite nervous about my first root canal. As it turns out I did not need to be. Dr. Whitcomb did an excellent job.

Dental pain is sickening. I'm pretty sure it's the worst there is. There's no escaping it either:…read morerelentless. When it comes to relieving it, you will not receive better care from another endodontic group. I've had 4 root canals in the last four years, three from Dr. Menke and one from Dr. Arens at the Dublin and Westerville offices, and each time, I have left feeling truly cared for. Professionalism and expertise is top tier. Dr. Menke has done the last three root canals for me and makes it a point to check on his patients the next day personally to see how things are. When was the last time a medical professional did that in our world? Best guy ever! The first root canal I had was an emergency two days before Xmas in '22 during a blizzard. A two-hour drive turned into three, and my whole head throbbed with pain. Walking out into a field and lying down was definitely on the table. If you know, you know. Dr. Arens took one look at me and in one minute, the pain was gone. The endodontist in Chillicothe I had gone to first actually had numbed my mouth, then looked down and said, "No. I'm not doing it. Your mouth is too small. Just have it pulled." Yep. Zero stars. Do not recommend. Dr. Arens saved my tooth. Despite my frequent brushing and flossing, old fillings have broken or fallen out, requiring more dental work as I've gotten older. Despite the 2-hr drive, Central Ohio Endodonics will always be my first choice for future work. The office staff is also kind and professional - very empathetic - and thoughtful, extending the exemplary dental care to the finish line. I appreciate everyone there. Do yourself a favor and just go there.

They were professional and clearly communicated with me each step of the way. I felt very well taken care of today. One way this experience could have been improved would be to provide a cushion behind your neck during the procedure. I felt it would have been much easier to relax if my neck could have rested against something since it is a long procedure. This would have really changed my overall experience. Besides this, I felt the experience was positive. They got me in quickly and the doctor was professional and efficient.

Theres Nothing I have to offer, theres no words I can express, I wish I could change that but I…read morecant. But the one thing I will and do is I give the Honest Feedback because let's face it were all broken, we all hurt, we all struggle with something. I searched all over Ohio for help with my right lower bottom last tooth. I was carrying dental insurance just on limited plan that was outrageous even after a dentist visit. I've gone through a very rough year, I was in the midst of a accident a truck passed me and next thing I know is the 2 cars behind me along with truck was all a mangled mess. I looked up as I was headed for an interview. I ran immediately to the Truck as I was hoping that with the faith In the Lord he would survive, I prayed for him and prayed and pray begging God to intervene for another chance. Well my faith was tested because he didnt make it. I was suffering even though noone knew. I didnt want anyone to see me weak because I had so many people his own family who knew nothing reaching out asking me questions because they werent given any answers. In June I was struck by a vehicle with full force which slammed my head against the seat and wheel. Well my head was stinging and hurting and My fiance took me to the ER the DR lacked in his care to see what's going on and just said it was a concussion. I've been referred to the cleveland clinic recently because Noone in Knox County is taking the time to care or follow up on even my results of the tests. I've been extremely weak I've had this tooth that has been making me miserable. I have been so sick and so weak I havent been able to do anything and literally have been so sick and weak to do anything but with the pain of tooth I held off because of no insurance trying tp do what I could to save the tooth. I searched and high and Low all over Ohio, I even was searching on the Border of Kentucky and PA and no help at all. I called 2-1-1, local churches, I've asked a couple dentists if they would set a payment plan. They all wanted between 500 and 800 down Even OSU dental clinic wouldnt allow me to set up a Payment plan. Finally I gave up. I would pop ibuprofen like candy because it was unbearable. I couldnt eat much some days at all. Alot of times I spent more time asleep because I was fine usually after Ibuprofen kicked in. My then the last month or so there would be times is was throbbing and I was in so much pain that I didnt know what to do or where to turn. Honestly I have extreme anxiety anytime I have to goto the dentist because I cant seem to find a good Dr who knows what there doing or they correct spot to numb. Anyways so I've been bouncing from dentists because I havent found one who is truly caring and has there heart in it for there customers. One night I was on my phone and I couldnt take it and so I was just looking for emergency dental care and I was just going to hopefully just find a dentist that would pull it and just be done because I know root canals are pricey and not only are they expensive they take alot of time to do. And I get very nervous because the last place who did my root canal it took her 3 hours and it was a nitemare for me and I felt every bit of the pain. So while calling around I saw that THE DENTAL CLINIC didnt have the little red closed sign on google. I called and was able to talk with Dr. Bradley Gilmer and told him the situation of the tooth, He gave me an option since I am currently on disability and my dental kicks in on June. HE ABSOLUTELY got me in immediately. He knocked the underlying major reason for the pain and then when the insurance kicks in we will proceed with the ongoing dental work for the root canal. His staff is friendly and nice and they were all very caring and I felt a sense at that office that there really are people who care for others and care about there health. Everyday is a struggle and an ongoing battle but I'm clinging on to the hoping I have in Christ. Somedays theres just special people that remind you that they care. But it's sad that when you search high and low and noone will help. I've honestly fought such a hard battle and I've come to the conclusion. Anyone can have whatever they want of mine, some days I'm exhausted because the debt is piling in medical Bill's and even though I'm on disability it's still very stressful because Most often you cant get the care you need unless you have state health care cards. I'm so tired. I get weak and I am not well. The thing I can honestly say is Dr. Gilmer and his entire team are very few and far between. I pray for the fruits of His practice be richly blessed by God. I pray that God will flood his love and blessings to all that walk into his practice and know they will be treated with compassion and caring people. The Dental Center- Simply The Best

When I called to find out why, I was told I was supposed to call and confirm the appointment myself. It's incredibly frustrating and unprofessional to cancel a scheduled appointment after I already blocked off my calendar and used PTO from work. I came on my first visit I was completely impressed by the atmosphere, they even have charges for your cell phone if you need it. I sat down in the lady kept asking me if I have insurance, I informed her that I did but she keep asking as if she didn't believe me. Then Kelly took very through x-rays and she knows how to put you at ease as if you are at Disney world. The people here are great, but some rough patches with communication. It was discovered that I needed a lot of work done, including a root canal, which I feared would be the case. So I set an appointment to get this done, but I set an earlier appointment to get the crown done, so that I wouldn't lose the filling I had from A previous time. So when I can to the appointment, the lady said okay, I understand we are doing a root canal, and clean the left side of your mouth. and was confused because I was there for something completely different, I think one of the things that should be done is have something written out which plan of action is being taken at each appointment, so their is no confusion, especially in cases when their is a lot of work to be done. They made it work with my insurance, that is the thing that I am most grateful about this place, Dr Papp is legendary, I have a maybe a handful of dentist in my life, and from my experience, he is truly, a cut above the rest. when I went to my 4th appointment, the root canal that final got done, was a supper-smooth process, he dialogs great with customers, and he is world class. If you get a choice I would go With "big papa!" That's what I call him in my head. This location doesn't discuss preventive care much with patients, so it is important to make sure you ask them, to keep the work they do intact. If you make an appointment, they will not leave you in the dark, the with email you and text you often to remind you, so they have great follow-up, But If you can't make an appointment let them know because they have a big customer base They bake cookies fresh every day so they definitely make an effort, to make a great atmosphere, But just a few things to work out.

When I was finally out of the clutches of OSU student health, and looking for a dentist of my own I had a sneaking suspicion that I had approximately 75 cavities (at least). I went to the googles in search of someone able to handle my multiple dental issues. I saw that Dr. Baloy was the team dentist for the Columbus Blue Jackets, and looked no further. I figured if he could handle hockey mouths, I'd be no problem. From the very beginning, I felt welcome in the office. The staff is SO nice, and no one judged me for having at least one cavity in each quadrant of my mouth (sure they gently suggested perhaps I should learn to floss, but it's their job!). Dr. Baloy did a fantastic job tackling the cavities, and referring me to an endodontist AND a periodontist (I'm telling you, my oral hygiene is not that bad, it's genetics!) when needed. The office is set up to be very open and airy and there are lovely photographs to stare at while you're waiting for your gums to get numb. To summarize - Very nice, professional staff; great service; bright and clean office. It makes going to the dentist not that bad after all.

No one recommended could get me in for two weeks, but they all put me on wait lists. Elite called the morning after I had a really bad night with pain and they could see me in three days instead of the originally scheduled day. I would rarely describe getting a root canal as 'wonderful,' but the staff was as kind in person as they were on the phone. Dr. Lisa explained what she thought was going on with the tooth and the conservative approach she'd recommend. She completed the procedure right away. I hope to not need another root canal, but if I do, this practice would be my first choice. Affordability is important, but for me, professionalism and kindness are of utmost importance. Their practice hits the mark on all three counts.
