The staff told her that they had a city branch (City Creatures) on Delaware Avenue, and that the vets treated at both locations. CC is incredibly close to her house, and she loves the fact that she doesn't have to drive on Transit. I made our appointment online, and selected the sick option when it asked why I was making the appointment. I received a phone call about 5 minutes after making the appointment, from one of the techs. She said they were just about to close, and when my appointment popped up in the system, she noticed I'd written that my dog was a little lethargic. She said she wanted to make sure that she was okay, or if we needed to come in earlier? This in itself was amazing to me, because our old vet never did anything like this. I was recently there with our Saint Bernard, Sweet Pea, and while it's smaller than AC, it's very clean, isn't smelly, the staff are very polite and the vet we met with is incredibly nice. The scale is right in the waiting room, which is a plus and a negative. My dog happens to be slightly dog aggressive, so when a puppy was brought into the waiting room to be weighed, she became a little upset. But it wasn't anything bad, because there are two waiting areas, so once the dog went over to the other side, my dog was fine. The room we went into was a little small, but then again, everything feels small when you have a 120 lb dog. We had questions about a procedure she needs done, and the vet answered all of our questions. They gave us a price estimate and reviewed it with us. We are very happy with them.

The staff here always looks out for the dogs' best interests and I trust them 100% with my puppies' lives. They have saved Stout and I know that if anything happens to Merwin, they will take good care of him. They are not the least expensive clinic but they also go above and beyond to make sure that animals are safe during surgery and well cared for all year round. Estimates are itemized and explained so you know what is optional and what is necessary. And they do a great job of explaining a variety of potential scenarios so that you can make the best decision. When I brought Stout and Merwin in together, I was impressed with how smoothly that went. Normally Stout doesn't love going to the vet. He loves Dr. Leach but he's had so many dental surgeries that he associates the vet with being uncomfortable. But with he and Merwin together, he seemed to relax a little and enjoy seeing Dr. Leach. Needless to say, if you are looking for a vet, I have no reservations about recommending Dr. Leach!

The staff have been consistently wonderful, especially with my highly anxious and unfriendly dog. Is Ellicott the cheapest vet in Buffalo? Probably not, but I wouldn't trust my animals with anyone else. We have received excellent care over the years from the front desk, vet techs and veterinarians. Dr. Stevens and Dr. Nellis are truly first class and have been with this practice since we started going there. I would recommend them to anyone and know several people who exclusively request Dr. Nellis for all of their appointments. Appointments are easy to make over the phone and they have an app which tracks when my pets are due for visits and vaccines which is very handy. The office is always clean and while the parking lot is small, I've never had an issue getting a spot. Overall, this is a wonderful practice.
