Over a year after attending his lecture, I found myself in the midst of a medical crisis. I developed severe digestive symptoms that escalated over the course of several months. I'd tried everything that I could, but still felt that I was getting worse. I lost a lot of weight very rapidly, my skin tone was unhealthy, and people around me were getting worried. Not only were the digestive symptoms debilitating, but I was an emotional wreck as well. Whatever was happening inside me made me horribly depressed, brain fog left me barely able to function, and my anxiety level over all of these rapid changes was staggering. Hi there, Just…read morewanted to give a review so that people are aware of what kind of acupuncture is done here so you know ahead of time and can decide if it's for you. This practitioner starts off with a 2-hour intake, and of note, during this two-hour intake, the purpose of this first meeting is to get your full history in detail. Needling time is brief, 15 mins or less. Some other techniques like cupping or scraping may be used as well. The rest of the time is spent prepping you for the needling- ie marking the points with a marker beforehand, using a measuring tape to find the various points to mark, checking your pulses every 10 minutes or so and recording the results, etc. Also the practitioner stays in the room. This practitioner is undoubtedly very good at her craft and is obviously an excellent healer and helps many people for whom she is a good fit. For me, it wasn't a good fit because I prefer to be left alone to nap/relax and longer needle-in time, but doesn't mean her style isn't effective for others. This practitioner is a very lovely human, caring and easy to talk to. I appreciated her thoroughness and genuineness.

During my pregnancy and after the birth of my son, I experienced a serious illness. I struggled with this illness for two years, living in excruciating pain, wondering how I would make it through each day. This experience really changed my perspective and broadened my compassion. I had taken good health for granted all my life not knowing that there are millions of people that live with tremendous pain and suffering every day. It cannot be overstated that the Chinese herbs Deborah provided were a key factor in my recovery. Acupuncture can work with the body's pre-existing energy, but herbs are physical matter. They come from the earth and have the ability to put back in your body what has been depleted. Some people respond very quickly and some more slowly to Chinese herbs. The response time is relative to each individual case. The herbs definitely work if you give them time and take them regularly as prescribed. The best part of the Chinese herbs was that I experienced no side effects. I am sure that would not have been the case had I been prescribed regular pharmaceuticals. If you are suffering from an illness or ailment (whether large or small), I would highly recommend Deborah Lemont for either acupuncture or Chinese herbal medicine.
