I've now been to several CRGs and I like this the best. It's by far the largest. And remarkably clean for a chalk-filled gym. I guess the HVAC system works very well. And one cool feature which I've pictured. A ramp. Go to the bottom and climb up. Side routes are softer, while the overhung routes are much more difficult. I've never seen anything like this in a gym. Very nice. Hoping to come back here again next time I'm in town.

(Although my forearms and hands are on fire after two hours!) Kids & adults are in for a fun, but exhausting experience! There are bathrooms, water faucet, gym for warming up & working out. They also have plenty of cubbies for your belongings. The clientele here are very supportive of eachother and cheer eachother on! I will definitely be returning when visiting the area!

The gym has a good amount of bouldering, mainly intermediate V4-6 and some top-roping with quite a few autobelay routes. There are yoga classes twice a week which is included in a membership though I have yet to try a class. Otherwise, it's a fairly standard climbing gym with interesting climbs, especially for beginner and intermediate climbers. They have a room full of bike racks as soon as you walk in which is nice, as someone who bikes to the gym. The facility is pretty large with a lounging area, training areas, plenty of storage space, and clean bathrooms. You do have to bring your own chalk (or rent gear which comes with chalk), and the chalk that is for sale in the store is not that great in my opinion and doesn't fully coat the fingers.

It's suitable for all skill levels - even true beginners. I love that they have a tier level below v0 which has made it so much easier to get introduced to climbing. The only drawback of this place is that it does tend to get crowded in the evenings during peak times and also there's almost guaranteed for there to always be a few kids birthday parties over the weekends but generally it's contained to one area of the gym so it's not too distracting.

This spot was not crowded at all and had a lot of open area to try new things. There is a video that they have you watch to get an understanding of the gym, and what sections are for what type of climb. The staff was also very nice in answering questions and making sure you are safe. For beginner climbers, you can climb on short rocks without gear and you can climb tall rocks with gear. There is a large section of the gym where you need a certificate to climb so those were off limits to me. Overall I spent about an hour and a half trying each climb. A very good spot to check out if you are a beginner or just need an open space to climb.

Still not sure why it was not allowed for them to make sure I landed straight down vs sideways on one leg (exact situation that tore my ACL). Regardless, not worth getting a membership somewhere with an employee like that.

For starters, the gym itself is huge, which I feel like is a pretty big accomplishment for a place by the city. The facilities itself were clean and everything seemed pretty modern. The staff were also friendly and helpful, and were quick to show me the ropes (quite literally)! There's something for everyone here, at all climbing levels. I like that they had auto-belay for those who aren't trained in belaying or are climbing solo. There's also a sizable bouldering area, as well as top rope sections. Besides climbing, they had some regular fitness equiptment as well. I hope to return soon!

The bouldering area is expansive, with a wide range of problems for all skills levels. They have slab and walls with a various levels of overhang. I noticed they had a wall that catered to beginners as well, which is awesome for people starting out. Even during peak hours after work on a weekday, the gym didn't feel super packed and it was easy to get on the wall whenever. The open setup is also nice to see all the problems and what people are working on from one spot. This CRG also boasts a solid lifting area in the back with free weights and power racks, along with a few cardio machines. They have multiple training boards, hang boards, and a pull-up area. Free chalk bags are available at the front, along with self-serve rental shoes. The membership is a bit pricey ($125/month), but they do have classes like yoga included, as well as access to other CRGs. Overall, excellent bouldering gym, excited to go back and try more problems!

Visited this gym while traveling through Boston. My partner and I anticipated getting to utiltize…read morethe gym as a spot to climb, shower and waste some time while we explored Boston waiting on our next flight. The gym itself was much smaller than anticipated. Staff was helpful but part of the wall was closed making access even more limited. The climbing wall was rather small even if that section was open. The gym area had enough equipment to lift and improvise other work outs. They only had one of two showers operable, as one shower was filled with storage. When I went to use the operable shower I was told not to take a hot shower or not to be longer than 10 minutes because it would set off the fire alarm and sprinklers in the whole building. I found it strange but there was a fire alarm/detector in the bathroom so I set a timer. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting. More than one days worth of hair in the shower. Grime on the walls and floors. The bathroom area outside of the shower was also dirty. Before I showered staff went into the bathroom to fill his mop bucket and mopped the entire floor in the main climbing area but didn't touch the bathroom itself. I would not recommend this gym if you are passing through and looking for a space to climb and hang out like we were.

We showed up and the gym was locked with no one in sight, no one picked up when we called. We even called the Worcester location to see if they knew what was going on and they had no clue. This is a really sour first experience and I may update this review if I come back later... it's very unprofessional and even if something happened for them to close down emergently, it would have been great to have had a heads up. It's not that hard to post a sentence on social media that they are closed. We wasted a bunch of time filling out waivers and driving out, feeling excited for nothing.

Decided to visit the Universal area (playground for all ages and abilities, seasonal spray park,…read moreseasonal mini golf and sledding hill)! We were on late afternoon weekday so not as busy or crowded as it would be on the weekend. The spray park has not opened yet (looks like will plan to open June 30). The good: I love the variety and amount of climbing structures and things to do in this playground. I love that this is universal (The Bay Area has a bunch of them and it's called Magical Playground- with plans to build them in each town). There is a free reservation system online for parking (max 2 hours) for weekends and holidays only. No Street or Neighborhood Parking is allowed. The bad: Because Mass is slow to add cool new universal parks, this one was hugely popular with the community that neighbors were complaining because there was not enough parking and people were overloading to resident parking. So hopefully there will be plans to add more parking. They have those built in shades but it is essentially useless because it doesn't cover everything. I wish there were more trees for natural shade. Because it was unbearable in the hot sun. We were sweating after 5 minutes. I can see it being very nice in the fall with cooler weather. 4 stars because this is an amazing playground but in the grueling summer heat, you could get a heat stroke so stay hydrated!

I've heard about initiatives like this from the TriCities area in Washington state but hadn't directly experienced one. I think it's great for families and the community that somewhere like this playground exists for children who are unable to access traditional playgrounds. My sister said this spot gets busy on the weekends and requires a resident permit to park in their fairly sizable lot (though I can imagine how busy it would get). My nephew had a lovely time with the various slides & also the firetruck.
