I contacted this company after reading the reviews on Yelp. I ended up having the same great experience using them to upgrade my alarm system. My old company wanted to charge over $900 for a few simple upgrades. Central Security replaced my old system, and added extra features for far less. Plus, Armando was very knowledgeable about everything concerning alarms systems. There was no salesman to talk to. He had everything he needed on the truck, so everything was installed on the first appointment. Anything that I wanted done - he did it. I would not take the time to make such a lengthy review for this company if it is not worth it. Back story: We finally decided to switch to U-Verse phone and internet after a couple of years of deteriorating service from the old one. We were holding off on upgrading because we did not want to add any extra to our already tight budget, even if it means that we had to put up with a deteriorating internet modem for a year and a half. It came to the point that we just can't put it off anymore because, we cannot have a stable internet access in a given day and we need it for work and school. Good thing after explaining to AT&T the situation, they gave us free installation and modem, and even got us in a 1-year promotion that will save us a little bit more! Moving forward: A representative for AT&T suggested that we notify our old alarm company with the switch of services. So that we did, and called our old alarm company and told them that we made a switch to AT&T U-Verse digital home phone services. It was a small company too, like Central Security. When I called, the guy told me that our alarm would not function anymore and we will not be monitored because, we have a digital phone services now. The guy also told me that there is no other way for our alarm to work properly again, unless I purchase a device (through them) that will send signal wireless to the monitoring company that would cost me $300!! Now, did I mention that we only had switched our internet and phone because, we didn't have any choice anymore and because we were given free installation and modem and even a promotional pricing?? After hearing this, I was quick to say "NO" to him and told him that we will be looking for another company. He made it sound like there is no other option for us other than that $300 equipment that we need to purchase from them or look for another company. So that we did, I started looking for another company. I ran into Central Security through searching "cheap/affordable alarm monitoring services" in google and yelp. I was quick to find great reviews from people who is satisfied with the level of customer service and professionalism at Central Security. I also found out the affordable pricing for monitoring services that we were looking for. I gave them a call and explained my situation, and how much my old alarm company is trying to charge me for an equipment. They were able to work with my busy schedule to set up an appointment and come to the house to see what they can do with the current alarm system that we have installed. Armando, came and look through the system and was able to determine that they can work with the U-Verse digital phone and the current alarm system in the house with no additional charge and/or equipment to buy. He came a few days later on a Wednesday or Thursday, and even waited for me to get home from a church service that finished almost 8 o'clock in the evening just to get our system back up and running that night so we can comfortably rest, knowing that we have a working alarm again. He ran into a few glitches with the system and had to run several tests, causing him to stay until 10pm that evening, just to make sure everything is up and running. Even that late, he took a few minutes to explain in great detail (going over almost line by line) the papers that we needed to sign and everything else that we need to know about the alarm, charges and even taught us a few tricks on how to use our alarm keypad! I have to say, it is not everyday that you run into such great level of customer service, dedication and professionalism that Armando showed us that night. He even gave us a call the next day to check if everything is working properly with the alarm! Now, that is going above and beyond! I highly recommend Central Security for your alarm monitoring service needs. More than the affordable price that they offer, they have an outstanding people working with the level of customer service and professionalism that you don't see everyday. As it stands right now, this is true. If there is problem with this company, I will make sure to make another review of a different kind on here. I had trouble with my Honeywell Alarm communicator and he was able to diagnose and provide the solution over the phone and a technician's contact info for by the hour service just in case that didn't heal it. (it did) I found CS here on Yelp and I found him to be as wonderful as all these reviews say he is. As soon as my monitoring contract expires later this year, I'll be signing up with Central Security so they can provide my monitoring and service going forward. My current monitoring provider only monitors and doesn't provide service. I found the full service provider I need today and will be back. This is the kind of service I prefer to have and I am glad to know what kind of customer service I can expect from CS once I am officially their customer! read more

1/5/13 - Used Central Security again to activate at Alarm system by ADT. Armado weathered the rain and showed up on time. Within the next couple of hours he replaced 5 door sensors, installed two motion detectors, Speaker and reprogrammed the entire system. Finally he presented the option of his monitoring service. I had an existing system that was wired for fire. Turns out he is not rated for fire so I couldn't go with him. After posting my last review about trouble canceling my monitoring service, Armando called me right away and apologized for missing my email requests to cancel. He canceled the monitoring service for me, reversed the charge from the auto-bill on the 16th of this month, and walked me through the deactivation of the cellular device over the phone. Now I can use my system locally without problems until I want to turn the monitoring back on again (which he said I can do with just a short phone call). Quick response, acknowledgement of over-sight, and apology for mistake...that's real customer service.
