I've seen a lot of trees downed in Austin the past few weeks. I thought we'd made it through the…read moreworst of the thunderstorms and microbursts, but a tiny spat of rain took a huge branch off the hackberry tree in between my and my neighbor's yard. In a certified Sunday miracle, it barely clipped my gutter (which hung on!) and landed square in between our houses, roofs no worse for the wear. I still found myself feeling a bit uneasy with the tree so close though, so reached out on Yelp to Texas Tree Doctors to take a look. Nicholas responded immediately and was able to come out just a couple hours later. Nicholas is a wealth of knowledge and was kind to answer basically every question I had in my free consult. He offered some really practical remediation in the form of a nutrient treatment that would help get the tree healthier and more supple so it'd be less likely to break in the future. For hardly any extra he offered to haul away the big branch as well. He also ballparked a cost for removing the tree entirely - all quotes seemed really fair. Ultimately, the tree is on the other side of the property line so removal is up to my neighbor, but I appreciate how straightforward it was to get someone with Nicholas's experience to take a look. If we decide to give some love (or destruction) to the tree he'll be the first guy I call.

Communicated well and was professional. And was clear with his pricing. He was not the least expensive but was competitive in his pricing. We scheduled service for the next day. So that was a plus! We've been in our house for 10 days and I didn't want the grass to grow taller and potentially get a notice from our HOA. They arrived perfectly on time. Cut the lawn and trimmed a flowering plant that was a little too close to the patio/ house. They worked quickly and efficiently. My yard looks great! They will be coming back biweekly, and I'm looking forward to enjoying our front and backyard.

This was a great decision as I quickly realized I was working with experienced arborists. Chris arrived on time for our gratis consultation and provided guidance regarding caring for our 3 trees. We scheduled a follow up to discuss elevating the canopies and trimming/shaping our trees. Their work crew arrived on time and did a great job. I reviewed the job and asked for some additional trimming which they did. Most importantly they removed and hauled away all the debris. He explained what the plan was for each tree to make sure we were on the same page. He delivered as you can see in the before and after photos.
