She is an outstanding resource as she makes the whole confusing College/TA/GoArmyEd process much easier to navigate, especially for older students that are just getting back to school after 20 years. I'm genuinely at my breaking point with this college. My first college experience was with UMGC,…read moreand everything was incredibly straightforward. Financial aid was easy to access, support actually responded, signing up for classes took minutes, and it was always clear what classes I needed to take. Pierce has been the complete opposite in almost every way. Ever wanted to go through five different websites, each with its own login and password, just to do something as simple as register for classes or check your financial aid? Pierce has you covered. I'm young and relatively tech-savvy, but trying to navigate their systems made me feel like somebody's confused grandmother clicking through random links hoping to end up in the right place. The class search system is a mess too. Some classes don't even show up when you search for them, and the course selection, at least for science courses, isn't particularly impressive. Then there's financial aid. Have you ever thought, "Wow, I wish the department responsible for paying for my education was almost impossible to reach?" Pierce has that covered too. Getting ahold of someone can be incredibly difficult, and they don't tell you how much aid will actually cover until right before classes start. That's a great way to leave students scrambling and wondering whether they're about to be dropped from their courses. They also seem to charge fees for everything imaginable. I've never even been to the campus, yet my account somehow includes a long list of campus-related fees and miscellaneous charges. The final straw has been my MyCAA funding. Pierce submitted paperwork to MyCAA in the wrong format, creating a problem that I, as the student, have no authority to fix. Because of their mistake, I've had to jump through hoop after hoop trying to get someone else to correct it. What should have been a routine process is now delaying my funding by weeks and putting my EMT course at risk. The craziest part? I haven't even taken a single class yet. Every step of this process has been another roadblock, another delay, another system that doesn't work the way it should. If this is what the experience is like before classes even start, it's hard to imagine things getting better once you're actually enrolled.

They don't like this review because God is not in their teachings anymore. They cannot handle the Truth and chose to take my first review down. Pray for revival for that college. I was a Certified Medical Assistant and a Registered Chiropractic Assistant. So I already took Biology classes and Pharmacology which consists of Chemistry at my previous college. I also worked with Doctors and real live patients. Pierce College refused to transfer my college credits from my previous college due to its accreditation. This ridiculous "oh it's nationally accredited and not regionally accredited", which is just a bunch of garbage. Nationally accredited colleges teach the same things. An example is Clover Park Technical College; their Pre- Nursing classes are the same as Pierce College and their Nursing program as well. I spoke to a representative at Clover Park Technical College and they said they would transfer my college credits from my previous college. So if I had attended Clover Park Technical College instead of Pierce College, I would've gotten my Associates degree by now. I regret I attended Pierce College. I should've went to Clover Park Technical College. The military promotes them "big time", and that's what got me caught going to Pierce College. Pierce College has a bias against Nationally accredited Colleges. How about Pierce College warn students of this before they attend? Tell us future students about how Uppity and snobbish you guys are about a previous college's accreditation so that we can avoid Pierce College. The people at FINANCIAL AID are a bunch of script reading knuckle draggers. They can't give…read morestraight answers and then issues happen with counselors when it's time to begin classes. Questions of funding would seem to be something that financial aid should have the answer to. Don't rush to that conclusion. They can't give straight answers and counselors are in the dark. Face time with financial aid is limited. They are on campus on a rotating basis. DON'T EVEN try to get them on the phone, get an email response or a timely response from a counselor. Pierce College is a clown show.

Instruction felt unstructured and often left students without the support needed to complete assignments. I hope the program receives attention and improvement.

i decided to stay here honestly due to just being habit. im back going to school here. although my…read moreprevious situations sucked at the school it went ok- the student mosaic and the other school events are good , front desk and staff are all wonderful just that one experience for two years really let me down but otherwise the other times were really wonderful and the staff are generally very supportive. advisors here are great at least Kevin was amazing in my experience and teachers try to help you although some are very questionable at times
