Proper paperwork is not submitted to VA leaving students thousands of dollars in debt…read more The administrative staff is not available even after making an appointment. Seems like they only care about $$, not the wellbeing of their students. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS "COLLEGE"!!!

This school is a scam. If you are looking to go here I highly recommend elsewhere, was a complete…read morewaste of my time and I only went here because it was local . After going here for a year they have a terrible attendance policy, no cafeteria, no free parking available, little resources for the students, staff that is under communicative. There have been constant issues with the little resources that should be expected for an art school to provide like printing, paper, pencils, food, free parking. Especially with the tuition we pay for it should be expected to have a little help. Although there are some amazing teachers here, a lot of the staffing issues are strange which affects the students here. Issues about my financial aid and attendance takes weeks for me to get a response. There have been three staff members from the same department one was fired because she was "student oriented" however was the MOST attentive and kind to us. Two left due to disagreements to the staff. Hostile work environments most likely. A handful of staff here come late a lot due to traffic which is understandable however it's a waste of the students time especially considering the attendance policy. Also the attendance policy is TERRIBLE if you miss more than three classes you fail your semester. Which isn't fair to the students because why should I be expected to be there if 90% of the time in your classroom I am sitting and doing nothing for "studio time" or assignments that could easily be done at home or at a students convenience. Your students are adults have other things to attend to, and should have a kinder attendance policy that doesn't make me fail if I miss a few classes? Thats ridiculous how can other colleges especially ones that are more affordable accommodate to this however if I attend ncad I could fail if I have a doctors appointment or i have car troubles or anything that prevents me from going to class. Also it's strange how they have a high percentage of lgbt students/ trans students but no gender neutral bathrooms? And accommodations to disabled students are COMPLETELY ignored especially to physically disabled or neurodivergent students when brought up several times nothing has been a result. You could get the same education if not better at a community college and I feel bad for the new students that have to learn this through experience.

Absolute scam of a cdl school for $6200+ other fees they could at least provide trucks that work.read more

I went here for my CDL the instructors I had were decent, one was a hard as but fair and was blunt…read moreand straight forward, if you were messing up he straight up told you, it came off harsh but it was meant for you to understand. The had the night classes. And most of the time the classes lasted about 2-3 hours out of the 8 hours they were suppose to be, which I didn't mind. After the week of class you show up to the lot and start learning on the trucks. I will say they don't go over pre trip with you, or help you train on your inspections, you get a sheet of what the DOL examiners look for and you spend 3 days out of the 5 day week going over the sheet and memorizing it word for word all month long. You also get drive time to a certain amount on top of this and they tell you how to drive and sit in the passenger and critique you as you drive. Sometimes talk sh&$ as well. The reason I gave 3 stars is because they promised you "job placement for life" upon signing up with CDS and I have contacted them / the office multiple times and they told me call the businesses they have on their job sheet. So pretty much you go and do all the work yourself, they don't do anything for you.. Luckily my work in beverage industry got me an automatic seat in a company as a driver (No help from CDS at all), so I had the privilege of getting experience needed to drive for all the other companies. They should be taking initiative to help their new students who pay ~6600$ for a license to get their first job especially when the students literally do EVERYTHING themselves.. Study, tests, DOL tests, pre trip, In-cab, backing The only thing you CANT do is just hop in a truck and drive when you want and that's what CDS is here for to use their trucks. Most of their trucks are busted / in horrible shape, clutch sticks / shifter grinds these trucks are used by student who have never touched a manual before so the trucks take a beating, lights barely work on them.
