This is a huge big box shopping center that includes HomeGoods, Marshalls, Petco, Office Depot, Ross Dress for Less, Belk, and Kohl's. Several outbuildings are restaurants and cell phone stores and jewelry. The shopping center is level, well lit and the parking spot lines are clear. Stopped by here to go to Ross . This market place has retailers in fashion, health shops , home furnishings as well as eateries. This store was a mess, even factoring in the fact there were sales in the store, the tables and racks were a chaos and there was no one as far as customer service visible on the floor. Check out was worse. Two young girls, one just standing. The other scanning a pile of clothes, made a mistake, told the customer I have to rescan all of this and moved it all back in a heap. Meanwhile, the other little girl rather than open the second register just looked at us vaguely. Once the tedious process of rescan was done she bagged about 4 items from the pile (all of their purchase was a jumbled heap) she sacked exactly 5 items and told the other little befuddled girl to take over as she had to answer THE phone. Was it store phone and store business? NO. Her cell. So she looked at the call and returned it, got off after a very brief exchange. OK then FINE get busy. Put it up, open a register, get busy? NO!! She looks up at the growing line for a second and she starts TEXTING!! At this time there are five lined up behind me and I said "I CANNOT BELIEVE SHE IS TEXTING!!" So she reaches over, picks up a black phone and acts like she is talking while her thumbs are moving across that phone like a little raccoon. Solution to this ridiculous mess in there...going out of business sale will be interesting...get in some adult supervisors with management skills. As far as I could tell Old Navy's fleet is sinking fast with that type of service and disorganization. This will close a business in a hurry. If those young ladies were my staff they would be getting low performance reviews and not very good referral as they would have been given across the bow shot warning if this was the first offense (which given the comfort, speed and ease of ignoring needs of customers over her own says it is not) a strong reprimand and if second time out the door. But, lacking any supervision and the fact any adult management would let this store be in the physical condition it was in. I should have taken pictures or better yet a clip of the texting....NOT a quick. TTYL or a LOL but a conversation. Mine with a dismayed disgruntled line behind me would be WTH you doin'. (For propriety we'll say the H is for Heck despite my stronger mental word). We were stuck in line 10 minutes like cattle in a chute by that point. I was 3rd out. Ugh.... TEXTING! Her only salvation is she was not behind the wheel of a car but I don't doubt she would do that too! I had to edit my review ....don't yelp when still irritated and it's hot outside! read more

This is a great place for shopping. There are a few nice restaurants in the mix with all the shops. I would have to say that its a tad annoying to shop there when its raining or its extremely cold because it is a strip mall, not an indoor one. So that's probably my only negative comment about it. Other than that, I'm a fan! Best Buy could be a tad closer, but its not a big deal. I love & will continue shopping here! read more

It either has it or is getting it soon. Stores you like to shop at are over at THE CENTRAL MARKET PLACE!! This place is is filing the shopping needs of Waco more than anywhere else locally. Clean and long very long end to end. It has taken the shopping dollars regionally and pulled 75% of them here. Space may become an issue eventually even stretched out like it is. Weather Excessively hot cold or rainy will drag on you as it is all open air shopping. read more

It's like a little slice of Austin for Waco. This place has a store for everyone. Petco, Marhsall's, Khol's, Books-A-Million to name just a few. Good pickings for restaurants, too. Newk's is top notch, and you can also find Subway and Panda Express. Only down side is the back of the complex is fairly empty. Khol's is the only store sitting back there. Any others that pop up soon disappear. read more

Has great places to shop and food for anyone who needs a quick stop and shop. This place always has new stores and nice inside stores!

I love Central Texas Marketplace! We finally have some decent shopping, although there's still not much in the way of finer clothing shops. There are a wide variety of shops now, with more opening all the time. I do wish they would invest a little more in landscaping, though, and have some nice restrooms at either end of the strips. My favorite places are Loft, Payless, Pier One, World Market, Amelia's Attic Resale, James Avery. Great location right off I35 and Highway 6. read more
