Lawson Eddy is a true professional, with a real passion for his work. We have a Chinese Pistachio which had not been trimmed for several years, hugging the roofline in the front of our house, and a Bradford Pear which was begging to be trimmed. A beautiful branching Oak surrounding the back porch and a few smaller trees near the swimming pool also needed to be worked on. We obtained quotes from three different tree Services in Austin. The quotes were all fairly close. The people from other companies who gave us the quotes said they could not be with the workers in our home and if there as any question or problems we could call them on their cell phone. After calling several tree service companies in the area and being very unsatisfied with their customer service on the phone (if its bad on the first phone call, its not going to be any better in person), I was getting discouraged with finding a company that I would be able to trust. I continued my search and came across Texas Tree Service. I called Lawson Eddy while on a business trip and was impressed with his initial customer service and after our conversation, knew he was an arborist that could be trusted. I easily set up an appointment for an estimate and two days later, I received a call from my wife and was provided a quote. Lawson took the time to explain what was and was not needed. He explained the sterilization process for his equipment and also identified two trees that were invasive and would kill our live oaks. The quote was very detailed and competitively priced. It was clear that Lawson wants to develop long term customers vs the one time customer. I immediately called Lawson and set an appointment. On the day of our appointment, the crew showed up as advised and got to work. Lawson showed his Forman what was to be done and 6 hours later, the job was done and done well. I recently bought a home and the backyard, though spacious, was completely overgrown and there was a huge dead tree overhanging the roof. I initially called to get a quote about cutting down the tree over the roof (for safety reasons) but after talking with Lawson I ended up having him quote me on revitalizing the whole property. He was very knowledgeable about the plants and the condition they were, so I felt comfortable with the direction he wanted to go in to make the yard healthier and safer. Lawson did trimming of our live oak trees. Right from the get go, he was very clear in what work is involved and their process for trimming the trees. We have 17 trees in our yard. So it was quiet a bit of work for his guys. They were very professional, speak clear english which was important as I could tell his guys exactly what to trim off. They did the whole work in about 4 hours and cleaned up the mess with no traces. His pricing was very competitive. They also painted the trimmed oak branch cuts so that it does not catch any disease. These guys did a top notch job on my house. I had two large trees in my backyard which were threatening to fall on my garage and cause a lot of damage. I got a couple quotes; theirs was the cheapest but not by much. I chose them because they walked me through what was going to happen and why certain things costed a certain amount.
