I tried a few high end downtown denver salons and was always disappointed, felt rushed, and paid waaayyyy too much. I finally found this salon and Lindsey and will never go anywhere else again! Another vote for Promilla (threading/waxing) and Hillary (hair)--- love them both! It is very easy to get an appointment with Promilla- even as popular as she is (this woman works around the clock). Hillary is skilled and fun as a stylist. I get pretty straightforward cuts, but am always pleased with how they come out. I also appreciate Hillary's advice about products and styling tools. This place is great, just recently started going and I love it. First time I went Amanda cut my hair and did it perfectly. Since I usually just get a short cut I figured it would be quick and they would rush me out, but she definitely took her time and put a lot of attention toward detail. I have been visitng Centre for two years and have loved the way I look and feel every time I leave. I have had appointments with many of the stylists and have always had fantastic service. I don't feel like the stylists push product anymore than other Aveda salons which is a huge plus. read more

Katie May was a very mediocre stylist. I went to her 4 times. She progressively got worse as a stylist, when you are paying top dollar for a haircut you expect a little consultation , not how about a trim, or tossing all your hair down and saying there's a lot of hair I am going to get behind now, when you have to beg to get layers in your hair you should be at a fantastic SAMs or some such not at an expensive hair salon. Very unprofessional she also ranted about cheer leaders not being athletic where her hx of gymnastics was so important, ummm how about just learning to cut hair? read more

Major remodel and adding more stylists have won me over! I originally went to the salon only to buy my Aveda products, but not for services as I have been really happy with my long time stylist. Promila ROCKS at facials and eyebrow threading and is a huge sweetheart, 5 STARS for her! I have had Chrissy cut and foil my hair and she does a fantastic job at reasonable prices. My highlights look super natural even while growing out. I am very happy with the aesthetic changes they have made there as well. The ambiance has a very cool city vibe while remaining down to earth. They have an exceptional front desk staff that is really on the ball offering great service, and making you feel super welcome, but this has always been the case. When my son (18) comes from Minneapolis to visit one of the first things he does is go in for a haircut. He says they are the best he's ever gotten Well done! read more

Kiana is fantastic. She listens, advises, and is an expert at her craft. I like the salon too though a comfier seating area would be nice.

I haven't used this Salon forever because of the constant turnover in stylists. Stopped by today though to pick up product and was also looking for travel sizes. A young male employee told me that Aveda "never" made that product line in travel sizes. I told him they did, as I had used the last of my travel size this morning, which prompted my buying the large size and looking to replace the travel size. Wish I could post a picture of my 1.7 oz and 1.4 oz travel sizes for both the shampoo and conditioner. He was totally unprofessional and rude, and DID NOT know what he was talking about. I am not one to write a review often about a business, but I need to write about this one. I have visited Centre salon about 5 times over the last year or so. They have very poor management and customer service. They charge alot of money for their "experience" but I always have had to wait at least 30 -40 mins beyond my appointment time for a "stylist" to be ready for me. Yesterday, I walked out of the place because ONCE AGAIN the "stylist" wasn't ready and 5 other employees were just standing around doing nothing would have been fine with me just waitng like a fool for another 1/2 hour unless I had inquired about what was going on. Nothing against the kids that work there, but they need an adult somewhere to see what is going on and properly MANAGE the place. I am on the search for a new salon and will not go to nor recommend Centre Salon to anyone. They really need to work on their customer service issues and be alot more professional. All I wanted was a very simple haircut. The place is very "high school". Overall, it's a very poor over priced place to "experience" a haircut. Thanks. read more

if you're planning to vist the spa for waxing, please think about going to another place unless you like being burnt by wax or like being flayed. (They peeled my skin along with the wax.) I've been wanting to visit this salon for a long time now as a friend of mine recommended the place for hair. So I decided to combine both the spa and salon for waxing, hair color and a hair cut. First off, I'm not new to waxing; I've been getting it done for a long while now. But this was the first time I was getting it done in this particular salon. Lisa was very chatty and friendly, but she couldn't handle the wax properly and struggled a bit. She not only burnt my skin, but she also took some skin off with the wax. Yikes, it hurt like crazy! Now, this was supposed to be a plant based wax and is supposedly very safe. But I've been wondering how 'safe' this wax really is if the 'wax specialist' not only burns you but also peels your skin off. Moreover, she took SO LONG in waxing just my arms, that apparently I didn't have time to get my hair colored. Needless to say, I was very upset. So I didn't get my hair colored or a hair cut (which was why I wanted to go to this salon in the first place), got burned, got ugly scabs on my hands and if this was not enough, my arms are scarred beyond belief. read more

I have been going to Centre Salon in Arvada for over five years. I have seen 5 or 6 stylists there but the best one of all is Kari! She is amazing and knows how to do some hair. I have to go almost every 6 weeks due to gray hair and she is worth every cent. My hair is the one thing that I treat myself to as a working mother and she definitely make me feel special and look great each time I go. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! I have gone to Centre Salon & Spa twice. I will NEVER go back again. I went in and showed my stylist 4 pictures of a haircut I wanted. I didn't use ambiguous words or comments... I showed her PICTURES. I left with a haircut that looked absolutely nothing like any of the picts I showed her. She cut the back of my hair to 1/2 inch long (from 8 inches when I walked in). She didn't listen or look at anything I wanted and instead gave me a hairstyle that she wanted to cut. Adding insult to injury, the cut and color coast me $200. I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN!!! I have tried a couple of times now to get an appointment, both in person and call in, and can honestly say I've never experienced a ruder staff. Can't really speak to the quality of their overpriced (by male standards) haircuts as I've never got in. The few times I've been in (to buy hair spray for my wife) I've been greeted with a "what are YOU doing here" attitude and open skepticism. Appears that a large man who is looking for a decent, non-Super Cuts haircut, is not welcome. Shame as I have money to spend on a new do. Honestly, if you're a guy, stay away...they don't care about you. And women...I truly hope you are getting the best haircut you've ever had here because the attitude, to me...and I'm a guy in a salon...I know, hateful, right...didn't deserve this disdain. Full Disclosure: I'm a difficult client. I've had so many lackluster haircuts from expensive, curly hair salons that I needed to try something completely different. Melanie Hoard had her work cut out when it came to me. I was SUPER particular and adament about what I wanted and didn't want. I gave a little push back when Melanie said she cut curly hair wet, but given that dry is how my hair has been cut the past 6 years with less then stellar results I decided to take the "risk". I'm glad I did. Melanie did a great job, not only did she actually listen to what I wanted (and worried about) and looked through the photos I brought (something a lot of curly salons refuse to do) she actually executed it precisely (a feat nearly impossible for irregular curly/wavy hair like mine). She was really thorough, took her time, and incorporated my feedback. I'll definitely be coming back and requesting Melanie (if she accepts me). Her customer service and demeanor is amazing, I thought she'd snap because of how picky I was, but she kept it pleasant. read more
