You walk in the door and you seem to be able to ask them anything. They find it for you. You can buy any qty it seems. For example 1 bolt or screw. We get water softener salt and they always load it for you. When your a home owner that is not really handy the service means the world. I always try there first. I have had them order things for me also and have in some cases better prices than the super big stores. This is the kind of business that needs to be supported.

False advertising on Propane prices. I called in advance and was told propane was .79 per pound (79…read morecents). I watched the man, and the flow meter, put 20 gallons in the propane tank. Propane is 4.24 pounds per gallon. (84.8 pounds of propane). The short math says $66.99 of propane at .79 per gallon. They charged $79. Same story with the typical "20 pound cylinder". Partially full tank being topped off they charged for 20 pounds of propane even though they only put 14 pounds of propane in. To make matters worse I tried showing them the math and the became indignant. The man even said it includes the weight of the fill adapter. (I wasn't buying a fill adapter, I was buying propane.) BUYER BEWARE!!!

This location is a large store that was part of an Ames that has been subdivided. Cressona Mall is an small mall with an indoor portion and several stores only having external entrances, Ollie's being one of them. Outside of the store does look rather outdated, similar to the Shamokin Dam location. Wide aisles, excellent shelving, and good organization allow for easy shopping. Has a larger stock of books compared to other locations. As usual, if you're buying food and certain other products, watch the expiration dates.
