All I can say is.... I have received better customer service at my hair salon! We came in to close escrow and we were waiting for some loan documents to be sent.The Escrow assistant (C.H) was dry and surly. Not even a bottle of water was offered to us while we waited. It's ironic, when I go for a simple service at my hair salon they greet me warmly, offer me something to drink and make sure I'm comfortable and yet here we are purchasing a home and it feels more uncomfortable and sterile than going for a medical procedure!!! We were transferred from out of state and WALLY LYNARD was specifically trained in the relocation package our company would be offered. Wally showed us many great homes in the area that matched our requests. We found Wally to be very knowledgeable, honest, and pleasant to work with. When our company transferred us 7 years later, Wally again helped us in the sale of our home. All went smoothly..... granted ALL sales/purchases are stressful (we moved 8 times in the last 23 years). Wally really helped with my stress level, when the buyers inspector had some weird things they wanted fixed. She was able to get me names of people to help get the items fixed. Forward three years and we find ourselves retired and wanting to return back to Southern California. We called Wally straight away and she and EILEEN DIDIER (also at the Century 21 Lois Lauer Redlands office) were such a great team helping us buy our current home... and all the way from Texas I might add. They had a notary come to our home in Texas to have us sign our papers. Eileen helped coordinate inspections in our absence. So a year ago I convinced my Father to move down from northern CA, closer to me so I could help him out. I called Eileen and she helped out immensely, she took my Dad and I to multiple cities to help give my dad an idea of what you can get in different cities. Eileen was professional, she listened to my Dads concerns, and answered all his questions. I'm so happy Eileen was able to help my Father find the perfect place to call home. She was spot on. The final sale, a week later was $23 over our asking price. I don't think you can get any closer than that. Dawn Arps is very knowledgeable about the Yucaipa area and would be a great source of information to anyone looking to buy a home in the area. She is also very realistic in her suggestions regarding listing prices and expected duration of listing. We really liked Dawn and when we moved out of state after the sale of our home, we felt like we were leaving a new friend. Unimpressed. I did not feel that I got my money's worth. Stephen Blicha was our agent. He is the one we did the walk-through with. However, someone else apparently attended the open house. We found that out after the fact. That is not what I would expect. I'm not sure how informed they could have been about our property. Conservatively, I think I could have gotten $235,000 for my home without an agent, and maybe between $240,000 and $250,000. Selling price was $250,000 and the brokers got $15,000 so my adjusted sale price was $235,000. It saved me some work, but was that amount of work worth $15,000? I doubt it. I was basically presented with one option for an escrow company (not really an option... was just informed that's who was being used). And the costs in that department are not small. I went with Stephen on a referral from a friend (was acting as a buyer's agent for them). I should have checked Yelp first. read more

WORST ESCROW SERVICE! In JULY we decided not to purchase a home we put a deposit on, we were within our contingency period and we were told our deposit would be refunded. Fast forward to September still nothing and no response from the escrow team. Then when we get a response we are told it was mailed out even though we requested that we pick it up in person since we live down the street. Well it was never mailed out so I call AGAIN and the girl says " well the check that was supposedly mailed out is here and you can come get it." We pick it up and deposit it only for it to be sent back. THEIR CHECK BOUNCED! How is that even possible? This company is ridiculous to deal with and I will never be purchasing a home with them as the escrow agents. read more

If this is the listing agent (specifically Cristina Caministeanu) of the property you are buying, please get the loan through their preferred lender. That way, your offer will be accepted and take priority over others. There's nothing wrong with having a commission from representing both seller and buyer transaction. read more

This place needs to be investigated by the bureau of real estate.Worst experience ever, in order to purchase a house I had to "cross qualify" through their in house lender. They need to be shut down: in house lending and escrow?, sounds like they are trying to create a monopoly. I feel bad for the legit realtors in this office. After purchasing the house because there wasn't much on the market, we were making changes in the house and found that the people that did the work left many things not corrected like a crack in the foundation to start. It's a bad deal over there, Janet Burke sells the house, her son in law does poor workmanship and her son does financing. I'm still finding things wrong years later. read more

I had a recent experience with 2 realtors from Louis Lauer Century 21 Reality. The two agents said were very familiar with the core area of Redlands. After doing a walk through of my house they said they would recommend listing it at $480,000 and that they expected it to sell in the first week it listed. They encouraged me go ahead and finish several additional projects that I discussed with them and said with the projects completed the my house might go for as much at $500,000.When I had the additional projects completed I decided to talk with two other realtors before I listed with Louis Lauer. Both realtors told me that the comparisons would not support a listing price anywhere close to $480,000 and the additional work that I had done added no value. I decided to get a pre-listing appraisal from a well known local appraiser which came back on Monday with a range of $406,000 to $435,000 with a expected sale price of $423,000. Today I called Louis Laurer and talked to the office manager about my experience. She said the two agents would claim they had no expertise in the core of Redlands. She argued with me that I had no reason to complain and ended the call by telling me "I could care less." and then hung up on me. Real nice! I am giving a one star rating only because that is the lowest Yelp allows. I would take any listing price recommendation from a Louis Lauer agent with a great deal of skepticism. I've lived in Redlands for 35 years and I thought you'd be interested in my experience. read more
