Today I received a call from Pinellas Oral Surgery & Implant Center notifying me of my mom's appointment next week. I told them she passed away 3 months ago. They didn't know and I had totally forgotten about my mom's yearly follow up appointments. Just 1 hour ago I receive a call from Seminole Garden Florist & Party Store notifying me that they just delivered and dropped off an arrangement of flowers inside the screened in porch. I told them that's my mom's home which she has since passed and no one is there at the moment. They of course didn't know and the oral surgeon's office only had mom's address. Seminole Florist came all the way to our home to deliver the flowers. So kind of them to do that. And, super kind of the oral surgeon's office to do that because not even my mom's primary care doctor NOR the cancer doctor did anything like this! When a business goes out of their way to do something special, I will refer them to everyone. And yes, I am also recommending Seminole Florist!

But it was worth the wait . Greeted by Joe and Stephanie at front desk was amazing, and the dental assistant was down to earth and funny . They are trying to get things back together since COVID started. The dentist is super sweet , super gentle and knows what she is doing. I had 2 small fillings and I do not like having my mouth open due to allergies and a broken jaw when I was 13. I have to say She was very empathetic and gentle . I care about my teeth and my children's as well. I've seen some bad reviews and I wanted to leave them this review to erase the bad reviews. Thank you so much and amazing staff . After a horrible experience having my wisdom teeth removed a few years ago I have avoided dentists of any kind as if they would cause the plague. I broke a tooth that was weak and it happened to be my far back molar. I instantly decided that the least terrifying way to deal with the situation was to have it extracted. I went to see Dr. Chuong and he took some xrays and was spectacular. He went a step above being ethical and approached the situation in the most morally sensitive way possible and told me that he would remove my tooth if that is what I wanted...but he suspected that it could be saved and he would like if I considered that option first by seeing a qualifying dentist before having it removed. Frankly, it was a back molar. I didn't think I would miss it. I had extremely good insurance and he was guaranteed to get paid. I asked him who he would trust if it was his mouth and saw that dr within a day or two...and he gave me a script for pain meds in the meantime because I was quite miserable. Months later I not only still have my tooth but I have a DENTIST! I adore her, I trust her, I have had work done on my mouth that I put off for a long time and I feel better! I almost don't mind going to the dentist and none of this would be if it weren't for Dr. Chuong taking the moral high ground and truly acting in my best interest. He is a rare find in this day and age!

This was a first visit for a consultation after having an implant and an oral antral fistula closed. Prior to the appointment, I sent in all documentation ahead of time with a very clear concise summary. I was not told an appointment would cost $350 until I arrived. I asked if every first appointment is that much and the clinical staff/Ashley stated - " yes it's the flat fee for all first appointments." Due to the pain I was in and because Dr. Chuong was in connection with Dr. Yu who was wonderful along with his staff when I was seen by him, I paid the fee. I really wish I would have read the reviews ahead of time. It's the first time I didn't and I will never make that mistake again. Needless to say, all of the documentation I had sent in was not read. Dr. Chuong seemed frustrated at the clinical aide who was supposed to have charted the info correctly and was going in and out of patient rooms during my time in the chair. He did not have a good bedside manner whatsoever. I left there thinking I cannot believe I just paid $350 for that visit. They did not even do an Xray to assess. Due to my pain continuing after being home, I called and request to at least have an X-ray done to assess the next day and with paying $350 something more should have been done. I drove an hour there again and had the Xray done. I definitely would not trust nor refer to this office.

I have been going to him for few years, trying to fix the damage done by another doctor - Dr. Crawford. Yes, the one that had interview with the local TV, the one who after procedure have no time for you, and who's wife at the counter yelled at me for rescheduling an appointment. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Yu and his office girls. So gentle, so caring, so intelligent. Every year he is attending classes in EU to update his knowledge with the latest in dentistry. If you see his office, you will know that the equipment and the services he performs are different quality, from others. You don't feel the needle with anesthesia, implants are ceramic, one piece and much more. But the most important fact is:: He cares about the patient, he will not compromise for more expensive procedures, something many others do. And when the dentist cares more about money, the service you get won't be what you need and possibly create more problems. That is exactly what happens to me, and Dr. Yu has fixed everything. Knowing so many others, I am afraid to visit another dentist. Be very careful when you choose one. Your teeth are very serious business! Never write a review right after you had something done. The problem is treated, you feel good, but what happened after the anesthesia wear off? Always wait few months, at least. I made that mistake and many others have too.
