Instead, the procedure was completely painless, smooth, and far less stressful than I ever imagined. For the first time since the original damage happened, I was able to get the problem resolved without pain and without the overwhelming anxiety I had carried for years. I'm incredibly grateful to have found Dr. Giddens & ALL of the hygienists (I've probably seen every single one over the last two years lol) who takes my anxiety seriously and creates such a calm, supportive environment. Dr O'Neil and his staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming. The shining Star was my hygienist Ivy. She was more knowledgeable and professional than any I have ever encountered. She gave me realistic time frames for my dental issues. But made it clear it was a journey we were going to take together! Let's face it, who likes to go to the dentist. Certainly not me. But I thank my lucky stars that I chose this dental office.

The process involved three visits and could not have been more stress-free and comfortable. Although not done for cosmetic reasons, it mattered greatly to me that my appearance would not be changed and that the end result would preserve my original, natural smile. I could not be more pleased by the end result. I still have my unique smile without any suggestion of having had "anything done" except, perhaps, for an enhancement that has definitely restored a more youthful appearance. Thank you, Dr. O'Neal. You're truly an artist!

Then I got "fired" by the office manager for coming in to my appointment. At the time I was busy taking care of my parents so missed a text but did sign the paperwork virtually prior to coming and showed up on time for my appointment with no history of no-shows. I was told I didn't respond to the text message so they gave my appointment to someone else. They rescheduled me for Friday but had to cancel on me as the tech called out sick. They would text me about appointment times but by the time I text back after checking my schedule a couple hours later the appointment was already booked. I called to see if I could make a time work with my new work schedule and expressed (not yelled or was rude) my frustration over being in the office for my appointment and not being seen and having difficulty rescheduling. The office manager said "I'm not going over this with you again I'll email you your files and you can go some where else" I never received my records, an apology, an easy reschedule. I've never not paid or no-showed an appointment. And I truly love my dentist after having some anxiety finding one after a bad experience with oral surgery a few years ago. Now this is one of the best places that accepts my insurance and I'm unsure where to go for care & cosmetics. If you do schedule here make sure you text back 100% of the time asap & avoid the office manager.

He calmed my nerves and very pleasant with his procedures by describing what he was going to do VERY CALMING. After the procedure, my tooth got better and no more pain. I recommend Dr. Spilman for a quality dental experience. The staff was very assuring, professional and caring. I know there are plenty of dentist in St Pete to choose from but please check out Dr. Spilman and I promise you will not be disappointment. Have a great smile everyone.

So the first week I was in St. Pete, I noticed his sign out front and the fact that he had the above hours and I have been going to him ever since. I really liked the secretary he had when I first started with him... she left and he hired another. I personally did not think he would have success hiring not one but TWO great office people but he managed it. I walk in.. I don't have to sign in but I would if I had to and I'm greeted within minutes. I call and I'm not just a name. I get in and out.... none of this waiting around to be seen making you think that maybe somebody is double booking. And how many dentists would not hesitate to submit a design for a crown? And you know what, I have finally found that dentist in fact I found that dental team. Everyone at the Pezzella Family Dentistry Office has done wonders to change my perspective of the dentist. Dr. Pezzella, Eileen and Sherry are some of the kindest most patient souls I have ever met. They do not shame me for my fear nor do they make me feel embarrassed about the amount of work my teeth need after years of avoiding the dentist! Sherry goes above and beyond to connect with me and my husband on a personal basis, she will call my cell and sometimes even text me if I request in regards to scheduling etc... I still try to avoid the dentist but she has made it impossible with her consistent efforts to help me take care of myself! Bless that woman for her patience. This is called "Family Dentistry" a dentist for the whole family, yes. But what I think they might secretly mean by that is "Family Dentistry, because we are going to make you a part of our shiny teeth family". I still hate the dentist, but I love this dentist.

It is actually a joy to go to the dentist now! They're so kind and personable. They've let me bring my son while I get my teeth checked out. They remember me and my family.
