Sam was excellent and helped my parents with their water issues immediately. He was very kind and prompt in solving the matter.

The service was thorough and efficient, and everything was left clean and tidy afterward. It's reassuring to know my furnace is in good shape for the season. Would definitely use their service again.

For the past five years, ever since I installed Amazon Alexa in most of the rooms of our home, I…read morehave wanted to attach a smart thermostat as part of our smart home set-up. We have our lights, various appliances, and other smart home devices already hooked up to Alexa, but I could NEVER get a smart thermostat installed and working properly. I was unsuccessful at installing one myself, my old heating & cooling guys couldn't get one working, and an electrician we hired couldn't get one working. I was told that something was wrong with the configuration in our furnace's wiring, or alternatively, the smart thermostat we purchased was a lemon. I had to settle for running up and down the stairs, flicking the heat controller back and forth between "heat" and "cool" manually, depending on whether I needed the furnace or the central air conditioning. With the constant wild swings in Edmonton's temperature all throughout the Spring, it was a major pain to keep resetting the thermostat manually when the rest of our smart home was so automated. Recently, when our old thermostat started wearing out and malfunctioning, I thought I'd give the installation of a smart thermostat another shot. I carefully researched the reviews, and saw that Trust Home Comfort came highly recommended. They seemed to have a lot of experience in upgrading old-style thermostats to electronic smart home systems. I'm happy to report that I was not disappointed! My first discussions with Van were great. He understood exactly what we wanted, he sympathised at my frustrations with our previous attempts to convert to a smart thermostat, and he assured me that Trust Home Comfort could solve the problem. He promised to send his best, most experienced installer (Kang). I got an appointment immediately for two days from the day of booking, which was enough time to get the thermostat brand and model he suggested (ecobee), after I asked him for his recommendation. Amazon supplied the thermostat through next-day delivery through ecobee's Amazon store, and the installer showed up the very next day after, on-time-to-the-minute of the booking we made, to install the device. (I should also mention that Trust Home Comfort has a sophisticated computerised appointment booking and billing system, so reminders are sent out via email in a timely way before the appointment, and billing is detailed and easy-to-pay online). To make a long story short, Kang was able to immediately identify the simple wiring problem that hexed us all these years, preventing us from installing a smart thermostat sooner. At one stage years ago, our humidistat control was moved to the furnace room by our old heating and cooling guy, and the wiring of the old humidistat left behind from the old location was confused with one of the power wires needed to power-up a smart thermostat. The correct wire was quickly relocated by Trust Home Comfort's technician, and the smart thermostat was up and running in no time! The old manual thermostat worked because it didn't need external power, but when previous heating companies and electricians tried to hook up a smart thermostat to the (dead) "power wire", it naturally couldn't power-up because the old humidistat wire, although the same colour as the correct external power wire, wasn't powered. Trust Home Comfort figured out what the problem was, and fixed the problem immediately. Their experience and ability to troubleshoot problems quickly proved they were a sound choice to install our new smart thermostat. The billing was detailed, fast and very reasonable. They did exactly what they promised to do, and today the smart thermostat is working EXACTLY as it should. Their technician was experienced, and set everything up exactly as we wanted. What more could I have ask for? I can't recommend Trust Home Comfort enough! Needless to say, they are our new, permanent service provider when it comes to any home heating or cooling solutions.

The technician arrived on time, was courteous, professional and seemed to be competent. After about 30-45 minutes he told us that we needed to replace the heat pump and that it could not be repaired. We paid the service fee of about $200 and asked that they send out someone who could give us a estimate to replace the heat pump. 2 days later another technician came out, and gave us an estimate. Again, he was on time, courteous, professional and friendly. I mentioned the need to replace the heat pump to a friend who lives in our building. He mentioned another company and so we called them to get an estimate on replace the heat pump. They came out, and looked at it, asked some questions, did some maintenance and the heat pump is working! No replacement needed! Getting this 2nd opinion saved us literally thousands of $. We are so grateful for the other company and will probably not call Acclaimed! again for a repair - since either their technicians are not competent, or they tried to sell us something we didn't need. After I posted this review, the owner of the company apologized for the misdiagnosis and offered to refund the initial service fee. He was very polite, listening and we had a good conversation. He handled this with grace and so much better than other owners. I'll raise my rating to a 2 from a 1 because of this call. It was appreciated.

We had decided to wait until morning and have Atco come out for free to see if they could help. They were able to tell us what was wrong and how to fix it but did not have the part. Ignite messaged me in the morning to see how we were doing! On a long shot I asked if they maybe had an extra part to sell us knowing that 1. It's New Year's Day there shop is not open 2. We were not getting them to put it in so why would they go the extra mile? Well they totally did above and beyond. They got us the part and then even met us at their shop. And by no means over charged for the parts either! I just feel that what a great company. We are not previous customers or even previous repair customers so I just felt like they didn't owe us anything but did us a huge one anyways. I would absolutely recommend this company. To top it off my hubby couldn't end up fixing the problem, not only did Dan troubleshoot with him by text for no charge, he did end up coming out. Then having to find parts at 9pm went back to the city and back out to our acerage to ultimately fix the problem for very reasonable charge for his service. We were happy to pay for all their help today! My hubby had tears in his eyes when he left that there are still good companies you can trust and that his family will be warm tonight.

He got the furnace model info from me and picked up the parts prior to coming. I had to wait a couple of hours as he was on another job, which was certainly reasonable. When he showed up he quickly determined the fan motor was indeed the problem and within about an hour my furnace was fixed and working again which was awesome. Trouble shooting it over the phone and bringing the parts likely needed saved a lot of time and a lot of my money. Not many companies would have done that. Ignite is great and has top shelf integrity. I'll never call anyone else for HVAC. Highly recommend calling these guys if you have any HVAC needs or emergencies.

I sent messages to a couple of plumbing outfits, but they didn't even respond. After a week of using buckets to capture the water leaking and dripping down into the basement, I gave up waiting for the first two outfits to respond and sent more messages to about 8 more plumbing outfits ... but again, most of them didn't even respond. I got 3 responses, 2 of which demanded ridiculously excessive deposits of $ 325 and $ 500 respectively. Max Plumbing and Heating was the only one who was quick to respond interactively through the Yelp messaging system, answered questions, was flexible, gave a ballpark estimate, and only demanded a reasonable deposit of $ 99. Max showed up when we asked him to, quickly found the reason for the leak, and replaced the worn-through pipe within a few hours, for a flat rate of $ 500, which was very reasonable for a 2-person crew for about 3 hours. He offered to clean out part of an attached pipe that was full of gunk but wasn't leaking for an extra $ 50, which was good and reasonable, so we agreed. Max was very knowledgeable and friendly, and even pointed out and explained some things about our kitchen drainage system that were problematic, without being asked, and didn't push or even suggest that we call him back to address those issues. Work was completed competently and efficiently. Quality of work was excellent. Value was very good. I would definitely recommend Max Plumbing and Heating!
