For many years, I would come here once a month with a friend of mine. I ended up moving and don't come here nearly as much as I'd like to because it's not close to me. However, today I went with my mom to see project Hail Mary and we had such a positive experience. I would say the last time I came was two years ago and I had come with my mom and my mother-in-law to see King Richard this location has great concessions, comfortable traditional movie theater seats with cupholders, the stadium seating. I like picking my seats ahead of time before the show which is what I did today. The location is always very clean and they always have well stocked clean restrooms. The parking is relatively close to the entrance, which is nice. I think it's just a great place to go see movies and I've never had a negative experience here. I noticed today that there's some new restaurants right outside the theater, to go to either before or after the show; so that's a nice plus. read more

There are assigned seats, but they're nothing special, as they're not recliners. Don't bother getting the popcorn. It has the oddest flavor. I'm not sure if it's the popcorn itself, or if it's the "butter" topping. What a waste of money. read more

This is our go to theater anytime we go to see a movie. Not only is the lobby clean, the staff is super friendly and very helpful. They always have snacks stocked, hot, popcorn, and quite a few different beverages to choose from. We truly enjoythis theater, and the ambience is always so welcoming and the best thing is you can't hear the movie playing next-door to you. This is a nice theater and I'm happy to have it close by. I've been here many times and have nothing negative to say. My mom and I went to see Green Book today (if you haven't seen this movie... go see it right now!! I haven't enjoyed a movie that much in a long time). I will say it would be awesome if they updated a few of the screening rooms to have the ultra-comfy recliner seats with adjustable settings. Those are the BEST - with the little tables you can move directly in front of you. I would easily pay a few extra bucks for those ;) Anyways, they have a small area to buy movie snacks and such, I've never purchased anything here but it's there if you want it. They also have a large bathroom with multiple stalls so you don't have to worry about waiting in line like you do at some theaters. read more

We were here on business and decided to watch a movie. We went in the mid afternoon. Only a few people there, plenty of parking. We were able to get the top back row of seats. The theater room we were in #4 has an extremely steep seating arrangement. The reason I mention this is several reviews said it was easy to see the screen from any seat. I would think the steep seating arrangement would contribute to this. We didn't try any concessions. The ticket guy was very nice. I did find the seats a little stiff. read more

This movie theatre is right by my house and cheap. I usually go here when my boyfriend is in town visiting because he loves the movies. Enjoyed the movie even though it was 3 hours long. The last duel was a really good movie and I would see it again at this theatre soon. The seats are comfortable and there are a variety of snacks and food to choose from. read more

My family was in Tucson for a wedding and we had some extra time on our hands. Having seen every Star Wars movie opening weekend since the prequels, I wasn't about to miss Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker. I opened Fandango and grabbed tickets a few days before we arrived to the Century Theatres in Oro Valley. Two things that surprised me by the order. One, the tickets were super cheap at about $7 per seat for a evening showing of a guaranteed blockbuster on opening weekend. Two, I was the first one selecting seats in this massive theater only three days before showing. These are two factors that never have happened in my home area of Sacramento, CA. The theater is located in a large strip mall and we were able to enjoy a nice dinner at the nearby Olive Garden. After enjoying our meal, we made the 60 second drive to the theater and waltzed in. We were early but in wa only seven in the evening and the lobby was dead. Again, I was surprised. My family grabbed some snacks from the limited selection and we were allowed to go to our seats 30 minutes early. When we got to them, they were the old fashion rocker with a cup holder. I've become spoiled by the larger renovated seats found in most theaters in the last few years, but I wasn't bothered by this style. The seats were comfortable and leg room was good. We sat in Row K which is the third row from the back and the screen was perfect sized for us. The audio was a little low but not too noticeable and never was I strained to hear dialog. The boom and woosh of the fighting scenes was perfect and not overbearing like it can be in other theaters. In short, the visual and audio was very good. After the two hour Star Wars saga ended and the credits rolled, I never felt uncomfortable in my seat nor did I feel pressured to get out of my of it. The seat was comfortable enough to sit in for about three hours. Not bad for older chairs. :) I enjoyed this theater and found the bathrooms, theater, and lobby to be clean and presentable. I'm not sure why it wasn't busier on a Saturday evening but since I'm visiting this area, maybe it's just a smaller side of town and this is average. Still, if you are a local or a visitor, I would recommend the drive out here for a great value and enjoyable time at the movies. read more

This theater is always my fave! We came last night as we do so many times, and even though it's further away, they play a lot of Indies. That's part of why we will drive the distance. What's crazy is we were the only one in the theater. How fun to be all alone in a comfy place. They don't freeze you out in the arms race up so you can lean back in the rocking chairs and relax while holding hands. And like so many theaters, they have the patronage cups for a drink and popcorn. They are a little smaller/and pricier than some of their competitors. But I like the coziness of the theater in the later showing is almost always have practically nobody in the theater. Check it out for yourself. I believe it's worth the drive for the small and more intimate feel. Especially if you like to see some of the independent films like we do. read more

Our new theater home! We just moved here from Portland, Oregon and had become accustomed to over priced, mediocre theater experiences. Happy to find this convenient, beautiful theater in our backyard. Matinee pricing is only $7 and I see that they have discounts for different days and even an early bird super duper price. The snack bar has many choices, including ice cream and different novelties. I had the standard Coke Zero and popcorn (color me old school) and it was around & $13. They do allow refills on any size soda for free. I do love free. I need to check out their members reward program. I really liked Regals system and hope that Cinemark is comparable. Oh, the movie was great too. Not that they have anything to do with that but, what the hey. I'm happy! read more

The popcorn tasted a little old, lots of kernels. The seats are more comfortable than stationary seats however, I prefer recliners. They are much easier on the backside when sitting for two hours. I love the location of the theatre but those seats were a deal breaker for my husband. read more

Tonight went to marketplace mall for John wick 3 and usually go to amc since seats at like recliners n WAY more comfy n variety of food AND NOW century sells jalapeños in little packages for your nachos!!! I am new to the area and purchased my movie tickets online including my snacks and drinks. I got the wrong theatre showed up at Market Place Oro Valley Century Theatres and they treated me like a QUEEN! They saw my QR code they covered my tickets and then to top it off a young man named AIDEN working the snack counter PAID for my Drink and Popcorn so my husband and I could go see TOPGUN!!!! This young man is an example of kindness and going the extra mile he understands customer service. We stayed after the movie and spoke to the manager about the AMAZING evening we had and the customer service AIDEN gave us. I appreciate the Oro Valley Century Theatre and they have my deepest thanks for rescuing my evening out. The theatre was clean and a nice place to watch a movie. The staff was wonderful. Give Aiden a RAISE! Give the manager a raise! He is doing a great job hiring and training people to listen and care about the customer!! Thank you!! BTW the movie was great also! read more

Seats are comfortable. Easy to use on-line ticket purchase, though we prefer to buy tickets on site to avoid extra fees. Located in a safe location with adequate, well illuminated parking. Staff is friendly. We do NOT like the assault on our eyes/ears from previews. If we are there to watch a funny and/or family friendly movie, we do NOT want to see previews with mayhem, fright, blood, occult, etc. This causes us to choose to show up late so the previews are mostly over by the time we are seated. Patrons are quiet and respectful of others. Popcorn is fresh. Tuesday lower prices are especially welcome for seniors or anyone on a budget. Sound was loud enough without overwhelming our ears. Restrooms were clean & properly supplied. This is a theater that we recommend. read more

This theater is close to the house which make it ideal for going out and enjoying a day off. we were very excited to see a movie this weekend and we're happy to be so close. The ticket woman was nice and very helpful as were the concession people. The movie price was reasonable but water was 5.00 per which is expensive. when we got in the theater it was clean and well lite. the seats are dated and uncomfortable for long periods, there was also a strange smell in the theater. As the movie progressed the people behind us wouldn't stop talking which was so disruptive that we actually had to say something to the people at the theater. the solunion was to have us move to open seats and they would come in and see if they were talking. I work in customer service and I get having to have proof first but having us move to other seats is unacceptable. read more

This place is close to my house and I was so happy when they opened a theater in Oro Valley! It is always clean, the staff are friendly and service is speedy. I deducted one star because it is so cold in the theater that I have to bring a jacket with me and dress warmly every time I see a movie and also because the seats are not made for short people so my legs dangle instead of touching the ground. By the end of the movie, my knees are killing me! My tip is if you are short, sit in the row where the railing is so you can put your feet on it! read more

This is my favorite theatre. It's always clean and the staff is friendly. My favorite employee is Brandon. He always greets us with a smile and has some great movie trivia to share. He takes time to talk to the kids and make them feel welcome. The best part is they offer kettle corn which is super yummy. They also have a great rewards program. Keep it secret, keep it safe. This is a hidden gem of a movie theatre that isn't crowded but accommodates all the new releases as well as having 3D movies. The employees are always friendly and helpful and the restrooms are cleaned regularly. I found be myself coming by here to avoid the crowds and relax. If you want to watch a new movie without the crowds, don't tell everyone about it and just start coming by here. read more

I am sick and tired of the freezing temperature in this theater. They must program it as if every seat in the theater is taken which is never the case. It does not matter if it is summer or winter, the temperature is ridiculously cold. If they don't change their policy, I am going to start driving to other theaters. We are big movie goers. It seems a shame to have to take our business 10 miles further but I refuse to continue to pay money to be uncomfortable for two hours. read more

This is my usual theater, so I'm a little biased. It's always clean inside and the staff very helpful. Plenty of parking because it's not next to a huge shopping mall. My routine is - buy my tickets at the kiosk outside because there's never a line. Go inside, skip the ticket line and go right to concession. Hand over my 2015 discount popcorn bucket and soda cup, which saves a good bit of money over the course of the year if you are a fairly regular movie-goer. Then it's right to the theater! I always arrive rather early and before the previews while the lights are still up, they will run ads for TV shows or present a mini-story on something TV or movie-related, which I actually enjoy. I find that I home I mostly watch DVR'ed stuff so I skip commercials and miss out on previews for new shows. They also have many special events like re-running classic films, showing operas, etc. Tuesdays are the big discount day with tickets a little over $5 all day, so if money is tight, consider making Tuesday your day. read more

We just went to this theater on Sunday to see Dirty Dancing. They're running a "Classics" series and you can go and see your old favorites on the big screen. I already own the movie but I went anyway. It was so much fun to see it with my girlfriends on a gigantic, floor to ceiling screen. It was like a super-fan event. This theatre is very well run, clean, and the concessions are well stocked and well attended. They have wonderful concessions coupons that you can sign up for and receive via email weekly. That being said the overall volume of the theatres is outrageous. I wear earplugs to every showing of any movie, not just the blockbusters but to the chick flicks as well. read more

A little off the beaten path for us, we found ourselves here on the 4th of July to see a movie that no other theater in town had. It's your standard theater. It's clean and well kept. Unlike some of the other theaters, where the rows of seat alternate between rocking seats and those that don't rock, all the seats (at least in our theater) were rockers. I prefer the non-rocking seats as the rockers lean too far back, but that's just me being difficult. Maybe it's just for the summer months, but on Wednesdays they show re-mastered versions of classic movies like Cool Hand Luke and Singing In The Rain. There are a couple of restaurants close by but, being the 4th of July, they were closed. Even though it's kind of far for us, we may be back for a change of scenery... and dinner and a movie to boot. read more

They have a sign saying no backpacks/purses over a certain size, but no one checks at all, and all sizes of bags are allowed in. I asked the ticket taker who was supposed to be checking, and he totally ignored me as if I had said nothing. I contacted the parent company asking about this and got NO reply after 3 attempts. I would think customer safety should be important but their sign is a farce. I really must ask why the previews of coming attractions are so horribly LOUD. And the popcorn and other snacks prohibitively expensive. I suppose this is just standard but I cannot stand the loud obnoxious previews. read more

We recently experienced a minor availability problem which was brought to the attention of Cinemark. The cleanest movie theater experience I've had in all my 50 years! This place is exceptional. After reading a few of these reviews i didn't expect much in the snack bar but was pleasantly surprised to find a diverse cinema menu. My daughter had a smoothie, My wife loved the kettle corn so much she bought a bag to take home. Personally the popcorn not only had real butter (instead of that synthetic flavoring) but was so fresh and tasty I almost bought some to take home. The attendant suggested next time I should buy a large since it comes with a free refill. I could take the refill home with me. The staff was so friendly and polite. The chairs were so comfy!
