Nothing like being able to recline and get served food and drink while watching a movie! Especially if you go for a matinee, the prices are not too bad for tickets. There are delicious vegan steak tacos on the menu. I'm not sure why they took the burger off the menu that was really good. There are also adult beverages. I just love Roadhouse. Other than the local art cinema, it's my first choice above other chain movie theaters in town. There are a variety of rooms in which to view movies with their newer expansion of the Roadie's building. I've seen movies in larger rooms as well as the smaller viewing rooms that hold 10 - 14 people, which is a lovely way to have a more intimate experience if you aren't into big crowds. The menu is huge so there are lots of options. I love that they have specialty menus each month that feature dishes matching the theme of movies that are released during that time frame. You can't beat the huge bowl of popcorn with refill that they will even bag up for you to take home! Between the food and drink, the reclining comfortable seats, and the friendly waitstaff, it's an experience you can't have anywhere else when seeing a movie. read more

Everything about the experience was good: good movie, picture quality, volume, reclining seats, and the condition of the lobby and the men's room. This is easily my favorite place to watch a movie in Tucson. The seating is incredibly comfortable, and the food and snacks go far beyond typical theater fare--it honestly feels more like dining at a nice restaurant while watching a movie. Their popcorn is one of the best, and I love that they'll fill a take-out bag with your popcorn so you can bring it home after the movie. Almost every seat offers a great view, though in some theaters the very front row can feel a bit too close to the screen. The only minor downside is that the room can get pretty dark, making it hard to see what you're eating at times. That aside, it's a wonderful movie-going experience with great food and service. So it was my first time here at a dinner cinema while I'm visiting Tucson. We went to see a movie that started at 6:20 and we got there at 5:45. The theater was not busy so we thought we could get our food right away. We ordered a few items however it came out incorrect. We noticed other people around us were getting wrong orders as well. It was distracting when the movie started and they were coming by to bring people their food. I gave you three stars for the popcorn which tasted fresh. The waiter was nice. Sadly I am unable to give a great review today. Our server who took our order when we arrived was polite, and she provided her name; Jules. I dont believe she caused this "not so great" review. I believe the kitchen and addition staff just didn't provide their best service today. About 40mins in, nothing to our seats had arrived. I pushed our service button. Jules came and noticed we had no items. She immediately checked our order on her monitor and she said I will go find out where your items are. I didn't need to say anything. Within a few minutes our lunch arrived and then a few minutes later our popcorn. (This part makes me sad because usually we get popcorn and drinks prior to food service) I will say our drinks (cherry coke, and Arnold Palmer) came like 10 minutes after our food. Such a bummer! The lemonade in my Arnold Palmer was terrible. More like water with lemon peel barely. Jules was kind enough to credit our popcorn without any discussion. I gave that back to her as a tip. Our food was good. We both enjoyed our waffle fries! Super fresh and crispy. My hubby's spicy chicken sandwich was great but my special sandwich was a turkey burger with arugula and a special aioli. The turkey burger was burnt and honestly tasted like hamburger. I couldn't take photos of our food because it came late into the movie so no proof. We haven't been here in over a year. This was a daytime date for Valentine's for me and my husband. We probably won't be back for a while. I have to say Galaxy theaters is so much better than Roadhouse. The movie was fantastic. My favorite theater in Tucson. Very comfortable recliner chairs. This is the type of theater where a server takes your order and you can eat a meal while watching a movie. The menu is pretty good, there is quite a variety of items. Popcorn is popped with coconut oil which gets a thumbs up. They have different theaters sizes, with one called a screening room. Brought my kids to the Roadhouse to over Thanksgiving break to watch the new Wicked movie. Love the lounge seating. The three of us split an order of popcorn, half butter half caramel and we ordered a few sodas. You get free refills on the popcorn and soda, but they were both so large that one of each was more than enough. We took home our popcorn refill in a to go bag. Writing this makes me upset because I've normally been a pretty decent fan of this place. Tonight we went with some friends to see Devil Wears Prada 2. Movie was great, service was actually so bad. It took over 30 minutes to get my sparkling water and glass of wine. My brother in law got his sparkling water way after me, my husbands popcorn (glazed and confused flavor) was so dry and had no flavor even after asking for a new one and even the people next to us weren't getting what they asked for. I totally get being busy, but it just seemed like we were forgotten. To make things worse, we let our server know we had a gift card to use before our card, she acknowledged and took it. Well out comes the bill and the gift card wasn't run, the manager fixed it but not after we walked by and heard them saying I "had so much attitude when asking for her drinks" AGAIN after it was forgotten. Again, I'm understanding of being busy but talking crap about me when I walked back into the theatre to return the signed receipt (with a tip), annoying. Last but not least, the staff was SO loud the entire movie outside the doors having full on conversations and laughing with the theatre doors open. So unenjoyable. read more

Great place to watch a movie. Comfortable seats, pleasant atmosphere and good customer service. This place is really expanding with their addition of Roadies which appears to be very popular. This is probably a great place for a date...., plenty of activities to keep you entertained. I love their popcorn. Seriously, the best movie house popcorn in Tucson. If it's busy I prefer to order food before taking my seat, seems to expedite delivery. They have a FULL bar and a full range of menu items. The trays are perfect for eating your snacks.. unless you are kicked back in full reclining mode. Always interesting to see what people have eaten as they hit the lobby with their choices fully displayed on their shirts. Plenty of parking, many sizes of theatres and plenty of popcorn. The reason this review is low is because Roadhouse is breaking down what seems to be all its theaters in to small theaters with few seats.. For example in some of the digital theaters, there are only 4 double seats per row and only four rows and films are quickly moved there. This is a stupid idea! Most people go to a theater to be in a big theater with a big screen and lots of seats. Then they have the screening rooms that only have 15 seats with loudspeakers close on either side that are too loud with a smaller screen! This theater is convenient but the limited showings of films and quick change to screening rooms and now small digital theaters are ruining the whole experience of going to a movie theater. Time to start finding other theaters elsewhere to go to that allow you to go to a big theater with lots of seats with plenty of time to schedule when you're going to see a movie. Staff are great here but the decision for these 'intimate', small theaters with very few seats that have smaller screens, loud speakers next to your head on either side that you can't escape are not only dumb but not good value for the money. Roadhouse Cinema may be inventing it's own demise. read more

So comfortable that I fell asleep 5 minutes into the movie You can eat while watching the movie. This cinema has food, drinks, cocktails, & the BEST movie popcorn you've ever had (it's made with real clarified butter!) Specialty service was GREAT! They come to your seat and bring everything to you. They have so many soft drinks to choose from, including my favorite, fresh-brewed, unsweetened, black tea! They also have gelato, and housemade cheesecake! Prices are super reasonable, too! We will definitely be back and support this small business! Fun place! This was the only place e could see the movie we washed too see and it was an unusual experience. We were in what they call a screening room with only 2 short rows of recliners. The service was acceptable and the food was better than expected. My husband got abig bowl of the best popcorn (he got cheddar and caramel) that is refillable but didn't get thru the whole bowl as it was. We also got the nachos work chicken and it tasted good. It's nice to be able to watch a movie and eat a meal while sitting in a very comfy seat. We will definitely be going back. read more

I recently had to transition to gluten and dairy free. Prior I would order the margherita pizza. I was surprised to see on their new menu they have dairy free cheese, and cauliflower crust: the pizza was just as good! There is of course an up charge but the pizza was fantastic! Everything was awesome. I didn't know this kind of a place even existed. It's nice they come to your chair with a call button and let you take your order or you can order ahead. My only complaint was how loud one of the waitresses was as she was coming and going. Other than that, it was great service, and a good movie, enjoyed the screen, lighting, and commercials. I also really enjoyed the buttered popcorn and the bowl that they provided was a fair size. The ginger ale was ok. 1 popcorn, and 1 drink cost $17. I have not been to the movies since Elvis was released in what? 22? I went two days in a row here to see Bugonia and Frankenstein. What a great experience. Amazing service, nice seats, great pop corn. I had a lovely time and keep looking to see what movies are coming next so I can go again. Definitely a great experience. FWIW if you are unaware this is the type of theatre where you are in electric reclining chairs and there is a full menu and bar you can order to your seat. You have to appreciate everything good so much that you overlook the bad. For me, it's a no. I've really tried to like this theater but I don't enjoy some keys things: 1. The food - super convenient idea but I don't love the menu choices or quality. Some might. The popcorn is good (I don't require the gourmet). I miss having some candy choices (gummy bears and plain M&M's don't do it for me.) 2. The seating - Comfy enough but no incline. I miss the stadium seating of the bigger theaters. 3. The screen - small. Too intimate for me. 4. Service - I've had wonderful, nice, attentive servers every time. BUT I don't love getting my check right at the tail end of a movie (the big ending! Interrupted) The clanking dishes are also no fun to listen to throughout the movie. 5. The air is too stuffy for me. It's already hot in the theaters. Plan accordingly. So close to being a good idea, but I always leave there wishing I had just watched a movie in the comfort of my own home. read more

I thought it was a little intimidating, being a newbie, but my friend guided me through, and I realized that it was very carefully thought out. We went early, so we got popcorn and a drink, sat in luxury, watched a good movie, and I came away wanting to go back. My first time coming here. We had our office event held here. So glad I came. I love the ambiance; the restrooms are clean. Although the seats had some crumbs on them, the seats are very comfortable and relaxing. The seats reclined. A very small menu, but they have all you need for a good movie date night.
