Worst company out there!! We called a month ago to cancel our services because the internet kept cutting out and it was expensive. So the agent we talked to said we were eligible for an upgrade that was a lot cheaper then what we were paying, and that we could also lock in our price for life. So I made sure to ask what our future bills would look like and SPECIFICALLY ASKED, "will you need to send out a tech to upgrade the server?" He said no.... I TRIPLE checked by the end of our agreement that we didn't need a tech. Well the next day I get a call that I need to set up a time for a tech to come out! So I called and told them about our discussion with the original agent and said if there is a fee for this then just cancel our service. She said there is a $99 fee and that she would waive it because of our previous discussion. So I set up the appointment. Now our bill is due and guess what?! YUP our bill is showing a $99 tech fee! So I spoke to another agent, and they said they put in the request and it will be credited in 2 billing cycles!!!! So I have to pay for a fee that I was told 3 TIMES that I wouldn't have to pay?! Update: After having my fiancé call in to try to rectify our bill (after my unsuccessful attempts), they did try to give him the same runaround and say that's how they do their billing. However, after much discussion, CenturyLink did finally realize that we were not being charged our negotiated and contracted rate and they did credit our account. It still should not be that difficult. After our contract is completed, we do not anticipate renewing our contract. read more

I can only echo the sentiments of others who have posted in this thread. The worst dealings with a large company I have ever experienced. I too had switched to Centurylink from Cox, thinking I was getting a great deal. Fantastic service to reel you in, then from there out, abhorrent service, product and treatment. As others have mentioned: The bundle price was good for about 4 months for their highest speed internet, and decent cable package. ($109 / mo, as agreed upon) Then, suddenly, my bill jumped to $273 for one month. And every subsequent month after while I endured the torturous endeavor of trying to get my billing sorted with CS. Excuse after excuse, and promises of credits, free added services, etc. never materialized. My internet was down to under 5mbs. The people were rude on the phone, even when elevated to upper management. (Even the $100 "Gift Card" for signing up was a joke and never activated) I joined back up with Cox and ripped all their equipment out and sent it back. They then had the audacity to tell me I had a $200 early termination fee on my bill. I figure the outstanding balance prior to this disconnect fee should put me even with where I would have been, had I paid the agreed monthly price of $109 / mo, since I won't be giving them another dime. Easily the worst experience I've ever had with an Internet provider. I've been treated poorly by four reps and have terrible service. Go figure, not BBB accredited, ripped apart by consumer reports, and all major social reviews rate it at a 1 star. I was informed by a supervisor 'no matter what you do I'm going to stick it to you in a fee that cannot be waived'.--exact quote from a rude man named Chuck. Spoke with two great representatives prior to that conversation who said, 'absolutely, our fault, let's get that resolved.' I called and stated, 'I'm happy to pay my bill today! I just need my bill to reflect what I was informed.' Instead, I've been billed incorrectly, tech team has had multiple issues with our account, and after holding for 1 hour and 38 minutes, no resolution was made and I was hung up on. I'm livid, will not be using this service, and will be pursuing legal action. read more

I am so pissed off with this company for so many reasons I don't even have the energy to explain how completely shady they are! Prism TV is a joke! My complaints will go to the Attorney General, which I suggest you do if you have a complaint, because their customer service won't help you a bit. In fact I was trying to explain what happened to a rep and her exact response was, "Ma'am, what's your point?" Save yourself the outrageous cost of cable and get yourself a Roku. We've had CenturyLink for over 5 years our promotion ran out and they talked me into upgrading with prism they give me it for a certain amount monthly they mess the bills up, overcharging me plus my bills were in Spanish for a year prior and it took a year to get them out of Spanish. I overpaid they will not reimburse the guy actually had a nerve to say I should be happy with the amount that I was paying and that he wasn't going to credit me for the overcharge an overpayment and he was rude and I have been calling every month since November trying to get it straightened out and every month I was told all the credits there it'll be applied next month this month I get an incredibly rude man who couldn't get out of his own way to say that I should be happy paying what I was paying and that he was making notes no credits would be applied and no mistakes were made horrible service can't believe after 5 years they would pull this definitely would not recommend and anyway or form they don't stand behind what they say and when they make mistakes they pass it along to you!!!! And I do apologize because I did lose my temper with him because he was so arrogant an adamant that I was wrong and that no mistake was made and I didn't know what I was talking about. I have been a Century Link customer for 4 years and 10 months ago decided to go with the Prism TV as well. They gave me a great deal almost to good to be true. Every month my bill comes and I'm not getting the promotional price agreed upon. I'm over charged I call they adjust it and tell me next month will be correct. 10 months of being overcharged and 10 months of fighting with them to correct the issue. Now I'm told they will not adjust my bill anymore. Several emails and as many phone calls to upper management I'm told sorry but we're not doing anything. My bill is a different amount every month a range from $30 -$100 overcharged each month.They don't care I dropped off my equipment and cancelled my services. The review is about this company not this store. I signed one year contract with them and got confirmation number. They cancelled my order and no one even bother to notify me. Reason for cancellation?Their system "automatically audit out" the order. Then they gave me another "deal". Just when i was reluctant to take a new "one year contract". They back out their offer AGAIN. Reason: "Only new customer qualify for this deal.". In the end, I didn't sign contract with them. I'm paying by month and waiting to jump to other company. This is the worst internet service provider. We pay for 60mps, and even with a wired Ethernet connection we still get 2mps at max! This ISP is a scam! When we called customer service they told us it was our fault the internet wasn't working. How? I've gotten to a point where I only use a wired Ethernet connection to connect to the internet because wirelessly it won't work and the customer service refuses to send someone to even take a look at it! This ISP should get fined for false advertising!I only get 2mps on a wired Ethernet connection when I pay for 60mps wireless internet and their customer service refuses to help. I hope this helps anyone reading this to not buy Centurylink. Just get Cox. Their 30mps is a better plan because it's more consistent. While 30mps is still potato internet, Centurylink's 60mps is worse than horse diarrhea. read more

Awful experience. Charged me for service Paid for 3 days that I didn't even have my modem. When I called, they said they were behind on shipments but did not offer a new ship date. Called for help with install and was on the phone for over 30min., most of that time on hold. Service tech had to come out and I will be charged for that. He showed up grumpy and not wearing a mask. He coughed and sneezed several times while in my residence which made me feel very uncomfortable during this pandemic. After he left, in my 2 bedroom home, I was only getting 3 bars of service. Called support again to try and get help to get better service and was on hold for 30 min. before I finally gave up. Hung up the phone, disconnected the modem and went online and cancelled the service after only one day of intermittent internet service. I am sure I will get a nice bill tho for the service call and the days of service that I didn't even have a modem for. Never ever ever use this company. read more

Where do I start, one week they hooked up live feed outside...one week later modem didn't come...2 weeks no modem because they never sent it....3 weeks layer guy didn't show with modem because they said it was on hold and never went thru....I tell them cancel everything because I got a bill for 46.14 that I never received services for. A week later still didn't cancel and got my 2nd email to pay bill and billing statement in mail. Finally 3 1/weeks weeks later they cleared out balance owed and service that I never got was closed. Oh did I mention the guy yelled at me because I wouldn't listen to his sales pitch while confirming if my account was closed because I never received a confirmation email like was told I would. read more

CenturyLink is the most dishonest company I have ever dealt with. I was promised a price when agreeing to a new contract. I was then overcharged ($20-50 each time) for 4 months in a row and every month I've had to call in just to hear a brand new lie. I ended up getting a one time credit each time and an empty promise that my bill next month would be finally accurate. Lies! Each month is another overcharge and another excuse/lie. Two days ago I called and was told by agent that "there is nothing I can do for you." Is that what you tell a customer after overcharging and lying??? Then I talked to a supervisor and she said that they have a glitch in the billing system and has been overcharging customers (for many many months) and the issue still has not been fixed and don't know when it will be. How can such a large company not fix a billing glitch in a week vs months on end with no end in sight??????!! I was also told that I would receive a letter explaining the glitch and that I will be credited the overcharge once the issue is fixed. I have ZERO confidence in this company and ZERO confidence they will actually automatically give me the credits without me calling in and listening to more lies. Century Link has been nothing but HORRIBLE since day one. I got service for the first time with them in Aug 2017. By November I had 0 service and was having to reboot my modem three or four times to finish a movie on netflix. I called in about 10 times and no one on tech support ever had any answers for me. I had my service shut off. In April 2018 I called back in to get my service reinstated and I made it very clear to the lady I spoke to I DO NOT WANT THEM TO RUN MY CREDIT AGAIN. She told me they still have my last credit run from Aug last year so I will not have to worry. I explained to her I am applying for a house the next day and the one thing i was told to do to make sure i get approved was to have 0 new hard inquiries. The lady I spoke with said word for word "I guarantee you will not see anything on your credit." So I let her reinstate it. Now this morning (the very next day and the day I am supposed to apply for my loan) I log in to my credit report and what do i see??!?! A HARD INQUIRY FROM CENTURY LINK!! I called back in and was on hold for over an hour then was transferred back and fourth 7 times. Everyone kept telling me there's nothing they can do. Everyone was so ridiculously rude and didn't seem to care at all. Someone finally told me they were going to give me the number for corporate and I called to find out they lied and it absolutely was not corporate. It was a department that deals with escalated issues. So I again for the 7th time explained what was going on and what she told me was there's nothing they can do. This is absolutely ridiculous!! This is not a mistake on my end what so ever. Now I am about to go apply for a house and the one thing I was told by my lender to do was not get any new hard inquiries and they wont fix this for me. If I get denied for my home loan because of this I will be bringing this to 3 on your side in AZ to ensure as many people as possible know how HORRIBLE Century Link is. Sorry to this location for the poor review - this review is about the company as a whole, not this particular storefront... Stay away from this company. The advertised low prices aren't worth the headache! We started service with CenturyLink and they never got our bill right. The billed amount changed every month and every time we called in, we were given different pricing and "discounts". We finished out our 12-month contract and did not renew. A couple years later, times were tough so we decided to give them another chance and the same things started happening again so we cancelled. Even after discontinuing service, we were billed and charged incorrectly. We were taken to collections for not returning our equipment. Thank goodness we had our half of the shipment receipt and a tracking number to prove we shipped the equipment back. Irritatingly enough, if you searched our tracking number the package was even signed for at the CenturyLink warehouse!! This company should be shut down! It is a scam! read more

I honestly can't comment on the Internet because they just never came to hook it up. 3 different schedule dates and 3 different no shows. First ti.e the technician decided to show up 5 hrs early while I'm at work and not even call me. Second time they messed up the paperwork and no one shows. Second time the next day they just never show. I call me up and they said the technician was already there and no one was home. I was literally at home waiting for them. Also the note they said they left was not on my door. This has been the worst experience I've had with ANY company EVER. How does this level of incompetence become their norm. I cancelled my order and am going with cox. Even if I get assaulted by the technician or something at least I'll have internet. I hope centurylink is an ISIS target. read more

Absolutely the WORST customer service I have ever dealt with. Ever. Anywhere. I closed my account within the 30 day trial period. They kept sending me incorrect final bills. 4 months later they sent my last bill to collections because apparently they did not get the modem back (or have no record of it). I kept my UPS tracking number and it showed it was signed for in January. I am currently on hold trying to clear this up...1 hour, 15 minutes...still waiting. RIDICULOUS. read more

I'm sure there are plenty of people out there who have had a good experience with Century Link but at the chance you have an experience like mine, avoid them at all costs. Now let me explain my experience with Century Link. I was originally with Cox and I always had a good experience with them. I paid roughly $145 dollars a month for 100 MBPS and two HD DVR Boxes with one of their larger tv packages. I moved to a new apartment and unfortunately they have a deal with Century Link and I had to switch to them. I thought okay no big deal, that was until I called them. So during my first call I originally was told I could only get 60 MBPS which was a significant step down from what I had, but I figured it would still be okay. So I took the time on the phone and went through all the steps and got signed up. Strangely enough the person said because the internet and PRISM TV services were separate departments she couldn't tell me the price of everything. She said though that it would be around a $100 dollars, and I would get a confirmation email soon. The next day when I still hadn't gotten a confirmation email I decided to call because I thought maybe I made a mistake giving them my email. Well when I called the person had no record of me being in the system or any order placed under my name or address, the person put me on hold for about 30 minutes to confirm this. So he apologized and said he would sign me up again, this time telling me the first person was wrong I could only get 40 MBPS internet speed, which is a huge decrease for someone streaming Ultra HD Videos and online gaming, but there wasn't much I could do so I went through the whole process on the phone again. This time again the person telling me the same things about the price, and that he couldn't tell me but I would be receiving a confirmation email. And here we go again, no confirmation email, I call and again no record of me in the system. So I have to go through the whole thing again for a third time, this time though I made sure I got the email and everything went through before I got off the phone. I still didn't know though exactly what this would cost me. So as you can imagine I was on the phone for quite a while. To add the cherry on top of the Sunday, because this is 2 days later now then when I originally signed up, they couldn't get a technician to install anything before the holiday weekend so I went 4 days without any tv or internet. Now this didn't kill me but it was still very inconvenient. The technician finally comes to install my services and is in my home for several hours because all of a sudden I have 2 accounts with Century Link and they couldn't get things set up until that gets worked out. So he is here for a long time and does his thing and leaves. I stupidly didn't check to see if things were hooked up properly because I figured after being here as long as he was it would be set up right, I was also already late for plans I had so I didn't have time. Well I later come to realize my internet is not working. It shows my modem and router and I connect to it but nothing will load. It takes me about 3 calls and 3 hours of my time before I got a competent person on the phone who said I think he just didn't register it, and it took 5 minutes to fix the problem i bet your thinking at this point well thank god it finally is fixed... nope you would be wrong. Everything was working okay for a while. The first time I tried to log in to pay the company for these horrible services I am unable to log in. So I spend several more hours on the phone before they can get me access to log in and pay them. I come to find out my bill is showing $45 dollars, this made things better because I thought to myself well these services suck but at least I am not paying much for them so I deal with it. Another month goes by I log in and my bill is $45 dollars again and I pay it. Things seem okay at this point and the internet speed wasn't half bad. The only thing that sucked was watching anything live on the PRISM TV it would freeze sometimes. Again though I put up with it, since the services are so cheap. Now the third month comes along and this is where everything goes to hell again. All of a sudden my internet goes to shit, and I can't stream videos hardly at all, and I can't online game. Do you think I can get much help getting this resolved? If you thought yes, you would be wrong. I am still sitting here writing this hoping when I go to post this my internet won't crash. To make matters worse I log in ready to pay my bill and all of a sudden I owe them $380. Apparently they never charged me for my installation ($100), which I was never told I had to pay for, and things weren't even installed correctly. Also I was never charged for my PRISM TV services, I was only being charged for my internet, so now I have to make those up. So I'm stuck paying that, and I'll be paying more for worse services than what I had with COX. read more

A comprehensive review after dealing wtih CenturyLink for about 3 weeks and why I will be canceling on Monday Morning (tomorrow). I called Centurylink to get set up with top tier 100mbps internet back in December, on the 23rd.. After going through the entire set up process for a good 30 minutes, the person on the phone informed me that there were no technicians available to install internet until January 4th, over 2 weeks away. But, wanting to go with the slightly smaller company despite pretty comparable prices to cox, I decided to wait. I had to pay more for my data on my phone and give up my earned work from home days in order to accomodate not having internet for over two weeks. The guy also told me that someone would contact me when my install date got closer and give me a smaller window of time compared to the 8am-5pm window he had to give me. Fast forward to January 3rd. No one has called. I give a call on my lunch break. After sitting on hold for 5 minutes I tried calling a different number. Again sat on hold for over 5 minutes and recalled the first main number. After 18 minutes of being on hold I get David from sales. Incredibly condescending. I let him know that I'm frustrated with how long I've been on hold, but all I'm looking to find out is what my smaller window of time is for my install the next date. I really don't even need a time window, I just need to know if its before or afternoon so I can plan my work schedule accordingly. After back and forth asking him for this information (please, if you're a supervisor, I ask that you review his call with me, I'll happily let you know my number) he tells me hes going to transfer me over to a customer support agent, Valerie, who's "great and will help you" so I get Valerie. In my absolute most patient voice, just trying to get this bit of information, will my service be installed before or afternoon the next date-I was told I would be given a smaller window of time, is that possible? she tells me that all slots are booked from january 4th through january 8th. ???? Yeah. I know. I'm one of them. So I ask again, explaining clearly my question and she tells me she doesn't know. So I say something along the lines of why was I told otherwise initially? And she says oh your service time is going to be between 3:30-4pm. I know, that she just said this to get me off the phone. Way to go. I work in customer service too. Sorry hun, not the way you treat customers. Very next day, I get a call at 10am from a service tech saying hes in my area and will be at my house in 30 minutes. So now I have to rearrange my entire work schedule so that I can leave work in that instant. Guy comes, he's nice, gets everything installed, leaves. Internet is okay, but when I check the speeds, my upload and download speeds are hovering between 7-9mbps. Obviously not anywhere near the 100mbps I was expecting and paying for. I decided to give it a chance anyways assuming maybe this is something because I'm a new customer. I dont know. Literally offering this company the benefit of the doubt at every turn while still trying to live my life that very much requires fast internet in order for me to pay my bills, including this one. Over the weekend I tried using just one laptop primarily with email and streaming netflix to my smart tv. Both timed out consistently due to poor connectivity. Sunday evening, I attempt calling every number listed on the CenturyLink website to absolutley no avail. Even though the prompts say they can connect you to technical support, when you call that number (because it doesn't auto-transfer, you actually have to hang up and dial it) it just gave me a reading of advertisements. Great. Cool. So I try using the chat with support feature. At this point, I'm on my phone because I literally have no internet. Literally none. Mind you, we're at 3 days since the install and I already lost all internet. Agustus C is whom I chatted with. Not sure if this is a robot or not, but he made some typos, so I assume it was a real person. Agustus cannot pull up my account information from my phone number or my address, and I don't have enough data for this chat let alone to pull up and search emails, but I also don't have any internet! Agustus gives me a link to chat with someone else but that link literally just forwarded me back to him?? So then he gives me a number to call, but in the message with the number he includes their hours of service which are not until monday morning and it's sunday evening. I tell him this. he tells me to call anyways. I call. Wow. what a surprise. After 3 minute of menu prompts, theres no one available to help me, and I should call back during business hours. So here we are. I still don't have internet. I have exhausted ALL phone numbers and chat services. My account "doesn't exist". Not only am I now at a starbucks scrambling to make up the hours of missed work I've had dealing with all of this, but I cannot even cancel this horrendous service read more

Our internet speeds are very slow and the prism tv service is constantly going out. My bill seems to creep up every month and has more than doubled in price from when I originally signed up. I've called to cancel services twice and still haven't received the return boxes from centurylink and I'm still being charged. Taking my equipment down in person to return. I don't think I have ever had any service with such poor service as Century Link. True, they're inexpensive, but in their case, you get exactly what you pay for. We have had Centurylink a while for internet and didn't have too many complaints. We had DISH for tv and were happy with them but knew our deal was ending and price was going up soon. When the Prism TV sales guy came around the neighborhood and said we could package internet and tv together for less than we were currently paying for both we decided to give it a try. What a pain it has been so far! We have been overcharged twice so far. The first month the sales lady said it was because they "forgot" to put in correct codes for the discounts. She supposedly fixed it but said she couldn't do anything about a refund because that month had already been billed. The second time it happened I had to call back again and hang out on the phone most of the morning trying to get it straightened out. I was switched a couple times to people who could help me better. The last guy figured out that while the previous sales ppl said they were quoting a price for they bundle in actuality that was just the price for Prism TV. I basically said that this was bogus. We switched to pay less than we were before not more. If I had known that I never would have signed up. He looked into some things and was able to get the price close to what we were actually quoted. We'll see how our bill looks next month. For all the hassle I had to give only 2 stars. I don't like that they have made me feel like I can't trust the company. Plus, there are quite a few things we don't like about Prism TV. The channel selection is ok but my husband doesn't like that they don't have NBAtv. You can't really watch picture-in-picture unless you are doing their "multiview" feature and that's specifically only for sports or news channels. Not just for channels of your choosing. Sometimes when you change the channel, it will disable any pause, ff, and record features for a while. We've had it jump to live tv saying it was doing it to record another program but we didn't have anything to record at that time. And there seem to be more glitches and falters in programming than we ever had with DISH. All in all, we will probably be canceling at the end of our year contract unless they make some decent updates in the next few months. read more

Tried to get their Prism TV service, what a fiasco. They were supposed to install the Prism and port my phone # from another provider. Install tech showed up and knew nothing of the port request, so we just proceeded with the installation of the TV service. 3 days later my internet (and TV) went down, I suspect because someone did something to the provisioning for the phone number port. I called tech support, they could not find my account, got bounced around to a couple of people till someone could finally find my account in the "AZ system" who then transferred me to tech support. Level 1 had me reboot modem, (like I hadn't already done that) and when that did not work they escalated to Tier2. The Tier 2 guy figured out there was something wrong with my account and said I needed to talk to customer service, he then blind transferred me to customer service and did not explain the problem to the rep. At this point I had been on the phone for almost two hours, I decided that I was going to cancel the service. I asked to be put back to what I had before and (DSL and DirecTV bundle) ther rep instead closed my whole account and transferred me to someone else. In the end I spent OVER 4HOURS on the phone to get my service restored (they had to create a whole new account for me) and I am not sure if my pricing will be right. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH CENTURYLINK, THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS AWFUL!!!! read more

AWFUL with their contracts!!!! We signed up for a MONTH to MONTH contract knowing we were building a home and now they are telling me we have a termination fee due to canceling prior to 1 year!!!! I NEVER signed a one year contract! It was plain as day we needed month to month until we move into the new house. By the way---Century Link and Prism are separate companies and both apparently have their own contracts. Hilarious, no one ever said anything about this to us until I call to cancel!!!!! I wish I could give less. This has been the worst experience I've ever had trying to get a service activated. I haven't even had my service turned on officially yet and it's been three weeks. They did not get our address correct and screwed up the shipping of the modem. The day someone was supposed to come out the first time no one ever showed and no calls. I've been on the phone with six different people today who gave me three different excuses. I was told someone would be here between 5-7 with a modem to connect service still no one. We called customer service and they were absolutely zero help. I am canceling my service in the morning. I will never refer anyone to this company read more

This is the WORST company in the world. The has been 5 service guys sent to fix my service and they still cant get a connection. The worse part is that the last technician that was suppose to come out the following day, never showed up. I called to see what was going on, they said there was a tickert out for repair but not scheduled. They are out another 5 days and the customer service people dont give a hoot about you. HORRIBLE!!!! They have double billed us so many times. If you have a billing issue (and you will), email. Have proof of communication. We had to return old equipment due to our Internet constantly shutting off. They wound up billing us for said equipment. I had to send them proof of delivery my times after they continuously claimed they never received it. After receiving an email confirming our bill will be adjusted and there will be no service interruption. ..3 days later, my service was interrupted (shut off) for an amount that is not due for 2 more weeks. I believe they scam their customers. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THEM!!!! If you are a customer, keep detailed records like I do. You will need to do their job. Contacting the Better Business Bureau. They have the absolute worst service of any business. They double bill and can't explain why. I'm some areas you are forced to use them. You are forced to use them to service your directv. They are horrible. Don't move into an area that they exclusive service rights. I'm just sorry that I have to give them one star to get this information out. read more

Would give zero stars if possible.. had the most horrible time dealing with these jerks.. takes hours to talk to someone just to get transferred constantly and hung up on many times... they don't care about their customers at all. After charging me for many random things on my bills pretty much every month, I decided to pay the money to disconnect my services with century link/ direct tv. I was a customer for a year and a half and had a 2 year contract. They still continued to charge me monthly anyway and expect me to pay 400 dollars still after my 300 disconnection fee. Not to mention that the internet didn't work half the time and our family couldn't use it for anything useful because it sucked so bad. Even worse is that they were partnered with direct tv who was equally as bad. This place is a scammmmm they will screw you over do not ever go through them. I hate to bash a company on yelp, but I am trying to help people that don't know the bullshit ahead. read more

I would select no stars if I could, the worst customer service ever, I signed up for their internet service and was led to believe I would be connected on the 26th Aug 2019, then I get an email saying that this is now delayed due to technical issues and some one will call Monday 26th Aug to give me a new date, in the meantime I had to go back to the service provider I was leaving and ask them to extend my service for another week, no one from CenturyLink called me on the 26th, I called them today and could not believe the time I spent trying to explain, 1st call I was cut off, 2nd call I explained what the problem was, they did not recognise my account number or my order number then told me I had called the wrong number, passed me to another person, I got cut off, 3rd call I'm now talking to some one who says they can help, I'm struggling to understand what they are saying as the noise on the line is distorting the conversation, she puts me on hold and yep I get cut off, I call back and I finally get to talk to someone that thinks she can help, she basically tell me to wait for a phone call to tell me when they will be connecting me, I'm calling Cox and sticking with them. read more

Do I even have to give a star? Been with Century Link for a year, our bill went up $25 in November and another $25 in December. I called to find out about this. The guy was somehow able to lower my bill, give me a credit and told me I only owe $18 for the month of December and that my my monthly bill would be $58. I paid the $18 in December, then in January I got a bill for way more than expected (another $50 added onto my December bill. I called today and spoke to someone and he and I talked for 5 minutes...he had taken all my information just like the guy did in December, then said he would need to transfer me in order to get the bill fixed...a lady gets on the line and asks for my information and tells me she can't talk to me because my name is not on the contract. Hmmmm....so I call back and talk to a guy who asks for my information and says, "How can I help you?" I ask him if my name is on the contract. He fumbles around, asks if this is a business, then says I'm sorry your name is not on here so I can't talk to you. This whole thing is very interesting since I'm the one who has been making the phone calls to Century Link regarding our bills...all of a sudden today...they can't talk to me. read more

This is hands down the WORST customer service company I've ever dealt with in my entire life! I've called them 4 times trying to put my television on suspension and every month I get a bill for television service I'm not using! I've gotten my internet disconnected twice now because the customer service department doesn't seem to have communication with ANY other department in the company and no one can fix the issue. The prism portion doesn't communicate with billing portion and if you cancel/suspend your service the systems don't know it because there's no interface to communicate the information. I HATE THIS COMPANY! It's honestly the absolute worst company and I'm surprised it's still in business!!! Talk about scams....this takes the cake! read more

This is the worst company ever. After being on hold for far too long I was sold a directv package was transferred to the closing department only to be told oh I'm sorry we don't service your apartment complex. I then called the other company who could not help me because the complex is serviced by century link. I called them again, finally they scheduled installation. After he left are noticed our satellite would not stay connected. Were called for them to come fix it and they so graciously waived the service charge to come out. When the tech called he apologized because they had sent a private tech who wasn't allowed to touch the equipment. He did it anyway because after his attempts to contact Century Link they kept transferring him and finally hung up on him. The original tech had installed our incorrectly. Now I Am trying to bundle my internet and the customer service rep hung up on me because i didn't have my account number with me. I have been on hold for 13 minutes now just trying to talk to a manager. Horrible service. We will see what happens if a manager ever comes to the phone. HORRIBLE, AWFUL, STAY AWAY! We were actually customers of Century Link for more than 12 years (started with Qwest) and everything seemed to be okay until we moved into a new home more than 2 years ago. From that time forward, our bills were never correct. I would spend endless hours on hold trying to resolve and finally just gave up and cancelled (after months of being billed incorrectly). About a year ago, they decided to send us to collections for the incorrect bills, which again, took endless amounts of time on the phone trying to resolve. Not to mention we did NOT want our perfect credit ruined over these jokers! Thought it was all over in May of 2015 and just last week, received a NEW collections letter! What? Contacted the previous collections agency we thought we resolved the problem and found out they no longer service Century Link (I wonder why!), but the new company is clueless as well. I have NEVER been so upset with a company and cannot believe the way they treat someone who paid them for more than 12 YEARS!!!! I would would suggest going without internet rather than ever signing up with them. I am a positive person, but this company irritates me to NO END. read more

Centurylink sales people have absolutely NO RESPECT for NO SOLICITING signs. I added a second one directly on the door, and they still come knocking. they say "oh I'm not soliciting, i just wanted to tell you about the construction in the area" then they go on and continue with the soliciting. Im sooooo tired of it, and you cant call anyone and complain because they only accept calls from current or would be customers, not calls from those asking to be left alone. read more
